Cai casually walked down the street, hoping to run into someone he knew, but he didn't really care if no one talked to him. It was one of those days when he just had to get out of his house, away from his depressed father and his twin brother, who was always glued to the TV this time of year, cheering on the District 3 tributes. On that train of thought, Cai's mind went to Josh. He hadn't really known the boy that well, he had just talked to him at lunch a few times. Recently, Cai had let himself think that Josh could make it back, especially now that he was in the final five. Then he told himself not to get his hopes up, and for a while he walked aimlessly, not really thinking about anything.

Clay was sitting on a box with a small can in front of him, he was playing a beatiful song on the flute, as andom citezens passed bye, and some even gave him a coin or two. then he saw a familiar face, he remembered him from the waiting room, when they were waiting to say goodbye to josh. they didnt talk but clay thought he knew the boys name was cai. he stops and down and starts talking to him "hello there, im clay. im josh's brother, werent you in the waiting room for josh's final goodbyes?"

Cai heard the sound of a flute playing in the background. It was pretty good, but he didn't pay it much though. Someone called out to him, and he turned in the direction of the voice. It took him a moment to realize who he was looking at. He knew the kid from somewhere, but he wasn't sure where. It hit him as soon as the boy introduced himself. "Yeah, I was there." He said in response to Clay's question, "My name's Cai, in case you were wondering."

clay kind of understood what he meant, his father took an extended vacation from the district 3 college, just to watch the games, he's glad his mom still kept her sanity. he honestly just loved playing musiv for people. "yeah, i understand, so. did you hear about luke? luke was clay's friend as well as josh's, he was aware of what happened.

Cai winced when Clay mentioned Luke. He had never liked the guy, but his death was still a tragedy. "Yeah, I heard there was a fire or something. I wish it hadn't lead to death," Cai said.
