The District 3 escort steps up on stage and smiles with blindingly white teeth. She starts speaking in a high pitched voice, "Welcome everyone to the Reapings! Today one young man and woman will be chosen to participate in the 29th Annual Hunger Games!" She steps up to the big bowls containing the names of every child in the district, from 12 to 18. Her hands hover above the bowls for a second, as if deciding something. "Now then, Ladies first!" she says, and reaches into the bowl filled with girls names...

Cai took his place and waited for the reaping to start. He didn't have to wait long, because the district escort was in a hurry to begin. He thought back to last year's reaping, when his friend Josh was picked. It didn't seem too long ago that he had watched Josh die on live television. Cai snapped back to reality as the escort drew a name out of the girl's bowl.

Luke just out of recovery comes to his spot for the reaping's..... Hopefully he may avenge his freinds death. josh Faradays death to be exact. He will volenteer if he has to no matter what he will either join Josh or win and avenge him.
The reapings start he holds his breath waiting to be a volenteer.

Clay walked up to the vast area he knew as the justice building. where the unjustful happened ironically. he saw Luke and smiled towards his direction. Luke was a good guy. his heart just isn't in the right place though. he awaited a name and stood patiently.

Lexington watched as the people were picked for the games. Sadie English, the name sounded familiar. He then recognized her as the twin of a girl that he had met in the market. The boy felt bad for the family, but kept a straight face. He wasn't going to volunteer to die, not when he had to keep his father afloat.

Lex looked at Cai and gave him a sympathetic glance. He knew that Cai and Josh had been friends, and now he was being sent to die. The boy looked at his feet and waited for the reaction of the crowd.

'Sadie English' "No, no, no, no." she muttered to herself, holding back tears as her twin climbed the stage. How could this be happening? Only yesterday they'd made dinner together, laughing as they played with pasta. Sadie had patched up her grazed leg as well. What would she do without her twin. Sofia squeezed her eyes shut and opened them again, hoping it was just a dream. But it wasn't. Sadie was still standing there on the stage. Sofia would volunteer, but Sadie would never forgive herself if Sofia did volunteer and end up dying. She would feel guilty for the rest of her life. Sofia couldn't do that. Plus, she was too afraid to volunteer. Hopefully somebody else would...

"What? No, it can't be," Cai muttered to himself as he heard his name called. But it WAS his name, so he took the stage. As he stood there, he looked around the audience, hoping someone would volunteer, someone would take his place.

Luke walked up to the justice building. He did this every year but this year he knew what he had to do. He was going to avenge his friend josh. He watched intently. He heard the name of cai being called, he stepped out raising his ha nd saying "i volunteer as tribute" he smiled a bit at luke as he walked up yo the stage.

(Well JJ, you can volunteer here since Lupa said it was fine but remember you can't volunteer in both D2 and D3. You can only have one tribute in the games.)
