Rafe strolled into the Melee section, feeling right at home. He grabbed two shining silver cutlasses off the rack and went to work, slicing the dummies on the floor apart with ease, stabbing dead on without even glancing at the targets, he was essentially preforming a perfected routine of murder.

Lenina wandered over to the melee station after her quick run through at the agility course. She walked over to the weapon rack and observed the numerous types of weapons in front of her. She immediately saw a dagger, one similar to her trusty blade back home. She grabbed the two that were there and gripped them in her hands as she moved over to the target dummies to practice with. She walked over and stood between two dummies then took turns slicing and stabbing between the two lifeless bodies in front of her. Lenina sliced and stabbed finally ending the lives of the two unfortunate objects and kicked it away.

Lenina looked over and saw Rafe cutting away at a few dummies himself. Pieces of foam covered the floor as he hacked off limbs and heads. It was so different from the area Lenina was standing at and training in, but her weapons of choice was not meant for chopping off limbs. The daggers were more for slashing and stabbing, causing internal bleeding, and a quick attack. You had to hit more to do the same amount of damage, but didn't have to put in as much force to swing the short blade. Lenina walked over to one of the now headless dummies and leaned against it. "You sure showed those dummies. I don't think they are going to mess with you anytime soon."

Rafe shrugged, he didn't need to reassure himself he'd do just as well against tributes as he did in training. He was confident in his ability to win. Since he did need allies, he was glad one was Lenina, she was a strong ally, he wouldn't get attached to her, and she stayed calm. He liked people like that in the Games with him. "Saw you scouting out the District Seven girl" he says simply, on a completely different train of thought, "Is she worth the bother to ally with?" he asks.

Lenina shrugged a little as a response to Rafe. "Personally I'm not one for letting non career district tributes in, but she was fast enough. Plus she says she is 'psychotic' and my motto is to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I feel she would be useful to have on our side rather than against us. I told her to meet us at lunch though, you can see for yourself." Lenina said her piece in the same even tone that she tended to speak with most of the time. She could stay cool and collected under high pressure situations and luckily for her Rafe was the same. It made it easier to have an ally with a similar way of doing things. This seemed like a perfect time to go get some food and maybe solidify a budding alliance. She turned away starting to walk away but remembered the cold, metal blades in her hands. She turned back and stabbed them into the headless training dummy she was just leaning on before speaking to Rafe once more. "Are you coming?"
