---District 2---Female---18---

Lenina came over to this station right after she was done learning how to start a fire. But unlike most tributes that stopped by this station she wasn't interested in learning what wouldn't kill you, but instead what could. If you had a basic idea of what was deadly, one could use that information as the ultimate environmental ally. She saw the examples of poisonous berries and plants, but took particular interest in the berries. Especially the ones marked 'Nightlock.' They looked almost like blackberries, so harmless and misleading. But according to the instructor, they were so potent that one would be dead even before they reached the person's stomach. Lenina made sure to really examine these berries, if she found them in the arena she would want to know so she could carry them with her. Plus it gave her a great idea, that now stirred around in her mind.

Lenina decided from there to go and learn about water purification. Water was essential to survival, you could not survive more than a few days without water and maybe less if you are exerting yourself. She first boiled the water, then used iodine drops to purify water and lastly using gravel and sand as a purification medium. All three she did flawlessly after watching the instructor do it a few times. Luckily for her she was observant and a quick learner, but that was thanks to her father's influence. He was never one to repeat himself so you had to make sure you got the whole gist of what he was saying the first and only time he said it, and usually he had you repeat it word for word. It worked best for her to hear everything the first time and do it right the first time or else face the wrath of her father.

Lenina had done her exercises, and after some praise from the almost too excitable instructor she was off to her next station. She wasn't sure which one yet, but she had already done most of this by now and there were a few she definitely wasn't going to visit like the knot-tying station or the painting station. What good would hiding do for her? She wasn't afraid of any of the tributes here or even death for that matter. And as for knot tying, well...a snare would do less for her when it came to effectively ending a life than her own bare hands and at least in a fight she could watch them die. I guess that meant only one area left, the medicine station.
