Just window shopping

Subject: Just window shopping Mon May 13, 2013 12:18 am

It sure is quiet today. Then again, it's the morning. Is what I think as I window shop for a few before I head to the training center.
I just finished off a book. Something about cats. My dog Cloey barks and I giggle.
"What you looking at girl?" I ask.
I crouch down and scratch between her ears making her bark more and thump her back foot.

I walked by the shops in the cool morning just out for the air. While walking by I saw a figure of a person I knew from around the area. I decided to go over and have a small chat with her. Surprised her dog started barking.

I looked up and saw what Cloey was barking at. It was a who. Not a what.
"Oh hey. I remember you.... Desjardins, right?" I ask curiously.
Cloey keeps barking and I pick her up and try to quiet her down.

'Yea, how'd you remember? rarely does anyone remember me. By the way I havn't quite got your name?" Desjardins said politely and swift like. Hopefully he wouldn't get in to something and not get anything out of it. It was usually the same with the females with him. talk and then never move farther out of being a friend. But I just played a wide smile across my face and prayed it wouldn't be the same.

I shrug. "I might have talked to you in the training center or something."
Cloey started calming down a bit and is just panting in my arms now. Crazy dog.

I tried to remember a time I ever went to the center when it had been occupied by another morsal. No matter, mighr as well just get to know her better. "So, about your name? Or do you wander around here known as Her?" I asked with a layfull smirk playing across my lips.

Ya, I'm pretty sure I seen him around the training center once or twice.

"Jaden" I thought silently, what a name. A smirk was crossed over her face as I looked at her. "Nice to meet you Jaden, My name is desjardins. I wear with as much pride as I could never carry." I replied chuckling at my minor joke.

I snort. "Nice to officially meet you then." I smile.
Cloey barks again in my arms.
"Oh shut up Cloey." I roll my eyes.

Amused at the response I hold out my arms towards the food, and then ask "Would you like to have some fish with me this fine day?". I smile gingerly and wait.

Fish? I shrug "Sure. I don't think dogs are allowed." I smile. "Or are they?"

I smile as she agrees. "Well arn't I allowed in there? If I am then I guess so is the dog." I grin again. I might be creeping her out by grinning too much, I need to change that.

I smirk back. "Ya, because you're such a dog." I roll my eyes as I put imphasis on the words such a dog.
I can tell he's trying to flirt with me...possibly. I could use a possible boyfriend. As long as he's curious like I am then we're all good.

As we were walking towards the fish shop, a glint of an oject caught my eye. I kept my eye on it as we seated ourselves at the table. I then decided to go and find out what it was. "Excuse me for a moment Jaden, I will be back in one second." With that I stood and casually left the table. Heading straight to the shiney object.

I shrug and wait for him to come back. I order a couple of fish and chips for us. The lady nods and gives Cloe a couple of dog buiscets. I pet Cloe between the ears as I wat for Desjardens to get back.

As I lean down to see the object more clearly A hard force appeared on my back sending me sprawling onto the paved ground. Cutting my hands as I coaught myself. "Looks like we have a 'lil rat sniffin aroun' here" Said a rough voice. Looking up I saw a Peace Keeper holding up a silver chain with a carefully crafted circle in the center of it. Very expensice I could say by the looks. "Sir, I'm no rat, I just saw the light glinting off the silver there, I don't see how I was doing anything wrong" I said. Morally confused by whats happening.

I heard the camotion going on outside and decided that he needed help. I walk out and see that a peacekeeper confronted him.
"What happened?" I ask a bit confused.
Surprisingly, Cloe was staying calm.

The Peace Keeper ignored Jaden's question and advanced on me with the night stick. "Seems ya' need to learn some manners 'lil rat" he slurred. His breathe smelled of a strong brew, intoxicated he was. He came down with the first swing catching me in the left shoulder blade. A sharp pain cut through my nerves and I groaned on the impact.

"Hey! He didn't do anything wrong!" I yell at the peacekeeper.
I put cloe down and tell her to run home. This was gonna get very ugly very quickly.
She scampered back in the general direction of home. I know interfering with the law especially if they happen to be drunk is a bad bad idea.

Before he could lay another hit on me, I thrust both legs up at an arch towards his stomach. A jolt pushed me deeper into the ground with a satisfying snap, dislocated shoulder. But the Peace Kepper landed on his back, hard, and was already having diffuculty getting back up. I struggled up with one arm, as the other dangled limply down my side.

"Besides being hit in the arm, you okay?" I ask

"Well...my arms dislocated, besides that I'm great." As we were heading away from the scene, I picked up the necklace. Then with one motion, I laced it around Jaden's neck, letting it glimmer around her neck. I smiled and said "Perfect".

I cheer "Yay!" I smile and look at the necklace "Good score." I add.
The food might be getting cold. If it's still there...

"We might want to take the food to-go, I don't think he'll take long to get up" I said glancing over at the cursing drunk Peace Keeper. Grabbing the plate of food I started off towards my lonely hut. "if you want, you can come along, or have I scared you off?" i said taking a bite of my fish.
