Goodbye's had been painful. Even Jett's parents came by to bid Seb farewell. But it was all too soon before Seb had to climb aboard the fancy Capitol train. He wondered how long it took someone to build it, or if a machine had built this work of art. Seb wouldn't mind getting under the hood to find out how it worked. After Seb took a shower to get the day's grime off of him. Had it been just this morning that he started a new project that would never be finished?
"I hope the mentor comes in soon... I don't want to go into the games unguided..."

Isidore was lazing around in another room when he heard someone come in. Probably the new kids wandering around. He sighed and got up, salvaging the last minute or two to himself before he went over to see a boy. He almost chuckled as the boy seemed to be fascinated over the mechanical beauty of the train. It was such a district thing, transportation and all, that it's nice to see it around sometime - the small little memories of home, true home. "She's a beauty isn't she?" He began to kill the silence, clearing his throat. Isidore walked closer to the boy and leaned onto a wall, commenting to him again, "getting comfy? That's great and all but I suggest you don't. The comfort degree of this and the arena is a whole new ball game." He studied the boy for a couple of seconds before introducing himself, it's just another year, "Isidore Rigel, victor of the 19th Hunger Games," Isidore glanced around the room and gestured a hand across it before continuing, "and welcome aboard the Jolly Roger, my boy."

"Ah, thanks..." Seb said, though he wouldn't refer to the bullet train as the 'Jolly Rodger'. Seb sat, but he fidgeted in his seat. "How did you win? The 19th Hunger Games, I mean." Seb asked puzzled. He knew his chances were unlikely to win, but he wanted to see his mom, dad, and little sister's face again. So did every other tribute who didn't willingly volunteer.

This time, Isidore laughed out loud, grabbing an orange from the fruit basket, "You're a real eager one, haven't even got to introducing yourself yet." Setting that rudeness aside, he seems like a nice kid, all ready to learn. Isidore couldn't help but smile at that, a little hope couldn't hurt in life. He bit the inside of his cheek, letting the room go silent for awhile before he looked back to the kid, "I played with everyone's minds. Gave them a little false truth here and there. Took awhile to think it out but it was worth the wait. Politics sometimes come out in a group and when the argues started, I dealt with them. The way I wanted them to. In all the confusion and chaos some split, some chanced upon each other, took them out one by one." Isidore shrugged as he tossed the orange up and down in one hand, "but unless you're like me, don't do that. It worked because I knew how to play my strengths and weaknesses." He threw the orange over to the boy as he then asked, "think fast, boy. Time to show your hand of cards, do you know your strengths and weaknesses?" He done enough talking for now, and this conversation needs to go both ways.

Seb bit the inside of his cheek when his mentor mentioned his rudeness. Oops. But he listened to his story of manipulation. As he spoke Seb became more worried; there was no way he would be able to manipulate every tribute into thinking a specific way. He couldn't even get his little sister to do his chores for him. Isidore tossed an orange at Seb, who blinked in response when it bounced off his head. Seb fumbled for the orange, but it ended up rolling onto the floor.

"Ah, sorry... you can call me Seb." Seb tells Isidore before responding to his request. He picks the orange off of the floor and tosses it back to the man. "Strength: I'm a good mechanic and at staying calm. Weakness... I'm really slow at everything..." He admitted, though it was probably already obvious. Being slow wouldn't a good weakness in the Hunger Games. That was obvious as well.

Isidore caught the incoming orange quickly as he chuckled with the boy's delayed reactions. "So, hey there Seb. We can work with it. Being slow doesn't equal death, as long as you make it out of the bloodbath. I would suggest not going off alone if that's the case. Make some friends, make allies. You're good at staying calm, it doesn't seem like it but its a valuable thing to have. When shit hits the fan, people start panicking and they find themselves calming down if an ally could stay calm. Show that side of you to others, you'll be surprise how influential it is to just be calm." He explained as he threw back the orange once more before walking to sit opposite of Seb. "You're good at mechanics, think you could pull off a few cool traps? After buying some time during the Games, make some. They don't need you to be quick, and gives you a heads up if anyone sneaks up on you." Isidore smiled to the kid, waiting for a minute or two to see if Seb had any questions, or maybe answering to whether he knew how to make traps.

Seb nodded as Isidore explained he wasn't at a total loss. He even complimented Seb at being calm, which caused the tribute to crack a small smile. He jotted down some mental notes, avoid the bloodbath, make allies... the second part would be the hardest... "Ah, about making allies... I-" Seb began but as soon as he began speaking Isidore tossed the orange back at Seb, who saw it coming this time and reached out to catch it. Seb tossed the orange back in forth in his own hands for a moment before throwing it back to his mentor. "I repair engines and appliances... but I don't think building a trap would be that advanced, so I'm fairly sure I can manage..." Seb bit his tongue about making allies. He made friends with Jett, so how hard could it be?

Isidore nodded, contented with his reply, catching the orange in one hand. "So just take a quick look at the traps there. They have some up for training, look through the unfamiliar ones. I mean, you only live once right? Go learn all that you can to your forte and out of your comfort zone. " He started peeling the orange apart and split it in half, offering one to the kid. It's just another year. Isidore leaned forward, resting on his knees. Isidore being Isidore, he had of course caught that small little part, "what did you wanna say about making allies?" Somehow his eyes spotted the bottle of Vodka but he wasn't much of a drinker. Yet, alcohol has that ability to let you stay disconnected from the world even if its just for a little while. Getting distracted Isidore, you can get drunk after the Games. He munched on the orange, staring intently at Seb. Even though it's just another year, it's never just another tribute. Isidore had to just keep believing in that.
