Interview with Tripp Mattet!

Tripp Mattet

I walk onto the stage wearing all teal but a silver shirt. I smile at the crowd.. I clear my throat and say, "Thanks Caesar, and my I say, you look very special for this VERY special occasion. New hairstyle?" I sit on the chair and stare at the crowd.. there had to be a couple thousand in those chairs.

I smile and get comfy, because I could be here awhile. "I bet I am Caesar." I say winking to a girl in the crowd. "They are who I'm gonna win for. And  yes, the roasted chicken is PERFECT. Almost as good as the chicken wings. But that's not the only thing that's perfect here.. I have no complaints for my Capitol friends, but most tributes like me, so their perfection is just as great" I say to him very relaxed. "I have a question for ya Caesar.. you know, just between us and this crowd.. do you guys think these games will be the best so far? I say cheerfully.

Tripp Mattet

I pause at Caesar's question and then say "Nothing specific.. actually, these last few days have been my motivation. Even though fighting to the death isn't going to be easy, its not as bad as dying back at that hell of a district" I just dissed my whole entire district.. why did I? I smile at the crowd. "I have a question for you all, I bet most of you think someone my age can't win.. you thought wrong. I'm ready for anything that comes my way. Being in the middle of all the career districts.. I'm positive that I could outsmart them.. they don't have any of the Tech Smarts that I have." I say now dissing the careers. "And then of course Thaila, who, I must say to be honest.." I say loudly and hush the crowd to say "She isn't really a challenge either"

Tripp Mattet

I smile at Caesar and willingly say, "Daniel is a big threat. Him and Anders." I say watching Caesar lean in.. "I wouldn't mind killing anybody.. no crushes.. so no reason to kill someone I love." I smile and smile at the crowd "Do you have a Mrs. Flickerman? I mean, you must have a lady here. Who could imagine anyone in the Capital without a love.. you all are simply wonderful" I'm just trying to please the crowd, I needed these sponsors.

"Well, first off, I could totally get the Capital to MAKE you get a girl. How many of you ladies would want to date someone wonderful!" I shout to the crowd, watching hands shoot up. "Actually Caesar, my favorite part, if I won would be to mentor upcoming tributes. Especially so you get to have someone just as wonderful as me on the show." I say as my face lights up. All of this was the truth, and it showed.

I smile at Caesar's comment "Well, Caesar, it would have to be to have them live this like its their dream vacation.. and I've followed it myself, meeting friends, and then enemies who I never understand, I still don't understand what 'You can go shave your back now' means, I don't know, but, whatever.. I just have to say, you all have made me feel at home.. more than just that, like this is my home! I plan on, in the games, just Livin' The Dream" I say smiling, feeling confident and open to any of Caesar's questions.

I get discouraged by Ceaser's comment.. "Well, I actually don't know. I never knew my biological family, so when the Mattet's took me in, they knew my name was Tripp.." I say bummed. "And well, just between us, I have dreams of my biological father telling me to go with the flow." I honestly felt sad about saying in, but if it would get me sponsors, anything would do. "So, if I told you all a secret, you'd keep it? Well, ever since I was chosen, I've always tried to just stay shy, but not, you guys cracked that shell! I just want to thank you all for that. And I will make you, and you all only, proud that I was here. I WILL make this year the best games!" I say with a nice and joyful voice after answering such a sad question.

"Well, I'll probably just eat mangos and chicken.. but it will be my pleasure if you would come down to see Thaila and I Ceasar?" I say charming him, trying to forget about my father.. it didn't help me at all, just worried me on what would happen next.. "I know you all came here to watch our final goodbyes until we fight to the death and all.. but I don't want you all to think of it that way.. even if you don't care if we live or not.. this is just going to be my little ' See you later ' if you will. Anymore questions before I have to say my final farewell Ceasar?" I say maturely and in a friendly voice.. trying to instead make the crowd excited, but to actually get to know them.. to imagine what they imagine in every step and death of the games.

I smile with delight of his question.. "Just expect about half of the tributes to be in 2 groups.. now I can't give details, but I'm positive it will keep you all on the edge of your seat.." I say and then add, "And expect me to be fighting the whole way!" I was getting louder and more excited by the second! I made a promise to my biological family in my dream, and it was to win, and if I died, I'd come with them.. "All these 23 tributes don't know what is going to SHOCK them in a few days. Get it? Electric SHOCK?" The room became quiet.. "No? Okay then!"

Caesar looked around in silence for a moment after his joke. Noticing the awkward silence Caesar toom over and began to laugh loudly and just like sheep with a shepard the crowd joined in. "That was good my boy, very good." He pat the boy playfully on the shoulder as he continued to laugh. He then looked to his wrist as if he was looking at a clock, noticing that Tripp's time was now up. "Well it seems we have reached the end of our time with Tripp here. He was interesting wasn't he?" Caesar's voice boomed out to the crowd, and as if in unison the cheers began. "I'm sure we will see more from you in the coming days." He then grabbed Tripp's hand and raised it in the air, "lets hear it for Tripp from District 3!" And like that the interview had reached its conclusion. "Any last words?"

I smile and stand up "I hope you enjoy our 33rd Hunger Games! I hope you enjoy it as much as I will..!" I say waving to the crowd. I lied about enjoying it as much as I did, I was going to hate it. I smile and walk up to the girl I winked to "Stay beautiful for me when I get out..!" I whisper into her ear and smile "Happy Hunger Games" I scream to the crowd and walk off the stage.
