Jeremy was nervous. Actually, nervous may not describe it enough. He was extremely nervous. He had his bow and arrow ready, his other weapon sheathed for the time being. He drew an arrow and when the gong sounded, he notched it, aimed, and fired in a very short amount of time. Now, how effective that was going to be, he didn't know. He watched the arrow fly and prepared to dodge an attack at a moment's notice.

Cascadia found herself in a tournament's dome, with a boy the same age as her. He aimed an arrow and shot it towards her. She yelped as she raised her shield. After the attack was over, she threw the arrow on the ground and stomped on it, shattering it to pieces. She hurled herself towards the guy, and slammed herself into him. She pulled herself back, and gritted her teeth.

"Shouldn't we get to know each other first?" Cascadia asked sarcastically. She twirled her sword in between her fingers as she looked over her opponent. He seemed not too strong, well, he was a bit less strong than Cascadia, she would say. She narrowed her eyes at him as she noticed the way he was acting. He was almost shaking... "You seem nervous... Maybe this will help," she hissed at him as she swung her sword into him.

She yanked the sword from wherever it was and gripped the hilt tighter than before. She examined the straps of her shield that hugged her left arm. She always wanted to experience the Games, for some odd reason. Maybe this could show her if she wanted to go in or not... She looked back to her opponent and growled through gritted teeth.

Jeremy's eyes got wide when she started getting angry. Then a voice said something in his head. Relax...take a deep breath...it's just a regular fight. You've done this before. You're a pro marksman. Show them what that means. Jeremy took a deep breath like the voice said, and suddenly, he wasn't shaking and he had a serious expression. He rolled to the right to dodge the attack, using his right arm to push himself up into a kneeling position and he drew an arrow, notched, aimed, and fired at the girl.

Cascadia quickly tried to raise her hand just as the boy fired to block his attack. Once she caught the arrow in mid-air, she stomped on the arrow he sent once again, shattering it to pieces. Was this how it was gonna go? If he shot an arrow, and she blocked it or caught it, she would smash her foot onto it and break it, then she would attack him. After a while of meaningless seconds, she sprinted up to him.

"YA!" she screamed in Jeremy's face as she tried to impale him with her sword. When would this be over? Cascadia was getting tired of this boy's weaknesses; maybe once she would win this battle, she could fight against a real fighter... She smirked then laughed under her breath.

Jeremy smirked as the attack came to him and he spun to try and dodge the attack. He then unsheathed his dagger, still holding his bow in his left hand, and stabbed at the girl. He backed away, sheathing his dagger and pulled out an arrow, preparing it. "Don't be too reckless with your attacks...you'll make it too easy for me." He laughed and looked up at the crowd. They were cheering which made him smile. He never thought people would cheer for him.
