Fallon finally was able to get herself off the ground. After her previous whipping that had happened before the reapings, and just a bit after the reapings, her aunt and uncle had decided to take her in. Her other family was a lot nice than the ones she grew up with. Her aunt and uncle cared, and her cousins often were outside hanging out with her. Fallon was finally free in a way that not many people had known about, she was even more content and back to being the regular old Fallon she was used to being.

Today, she was hanging out with Storm. Ever since she got to live somewhere else and the reapings happened they had been hanging out more and became closer friends. Today they were walking in the never touched fields. Old families used to live there but they died away and no one reclaimed the land. Fallon kinda wanted to own a chunk of it one day but it cost a lot, she'd have to stay in school and possibly get a decent job if she survived long enough. They kepy walking through having random conversations about anything really but eventually their adventure became uneventful and they were far off in the fields now. "I'm bored. I am so bored, why isn't there anything out here?" She sighed in frustration and she plopped down on the ground. "We aren't going to find anything out here." normally she'd have more hope than this but it was running low at the moment.

Well, Storm's home life hadn't changed much; that happens when your family's rooted down by a child that isn't a 16 year old. Okay, not true, he'd gotten a bit distant from everyone, even Kaden, who was now walking, kind of. But he's got a good excuse for that.

That "excuse" came in the form of one known as Fallon King, who he'd gotten to be pretty good friends with after those horrid Reapings. He'd been in the middle of kicking a stray rock when she plopped down, giving in to boredom. "Already?" he asked with a smile, continuing to walk, about to leave her behind. Then he caught sight of some oddly growing, kind of taller grass in a pile; that was bound to have something interesting. He turned back to the girl with a sigh, "Well, maybe you're right. Absolutely nothing out here," but the way he said it, he didn't mean what he said, "Well, except for some really cool old stuff over there." He waved a hand in the general direction of whatever that grass pile had been.

Fallon scoffed a bit as Storm had mentioned there was nothing else out there but the way he had said it made her roll her eyes, knowing he found something. Fallon was almost comfortable here on the ground now, but eventually the curiosity would kill the cat. She finally got up and brushed off her pants. It was difficult to even see around in the grain fields over here anyways, they were tall, almost taller than her by now because no one lived over here. "Lead the way." She said calmly to him and she was ready to follow him now, as he began to walk a bit. Fallon couldn't let him have all the fun, maybe they'd find random refugees or something, that'd be interesting but Fallon was sure she'd almost go running off if she found people there. It was unlikely that's what it'd be, be difficult to get passed the fence and the peacekeepers, wouldn't it? "What do you think we'll find?"

Storm waited for her to stand up; he knew she'd get up eventually. And when she did, he broke into a grin, "Atta girl!" He waited for her to start moving before he set off again, so he wouldn't leave her behind. "No idea...maybe it's a secret underground bunker?" Storm really just threw a crazy suggestion out there; he hadn't seen anything more than unnatural growth. Maybe it was nothing, but at least they were moving! They were about halfway there when he made out some type of shape hidden there. "Wheels? Huh."

When Fallon had stood up she heard Storm and she rolled her eyes at him but she was still grinning. As they walked towards this thing, they could make more of it out and Fallon, was now more curious than ever. "I don't think it'd be a secret underground bunker." She said laughing a bit and as he said it it processed in her mind that this thing had wheels, and now she was compelled to take the grain off and uncover what this thing with wheels was. Obviously it was mobile and to her knowledge there was only a few things that could come to mind. "Well, lets uncover it and see from there." Fallon said smiling at him again and she went up closer to it, and she began pulling off pieces of the grain and eventually with the help of Storm they revealed what it was. "Woah." Was all that was able to come out of her mouth as she stared at this machinery in awe.

"You're right; this isn't a bunker at all," he said with a laugh, pulling off the last of the grass stalks on the machinery. A tractor. Here, of all places. He took a moment to look at it; smaller than what most used in the fields these days, but it was obviously older than any of those anyway. Not valuable, but certainly interesting. He shook his head, "Well, finder's keepers and all that." It wasn't really stealing if the thing was abandoned, right? As if Storm really cared though. He crouched down next to it, trying to get an idea of its condition. "You think it's fixable?"

Fallon looked at the hunk of metal and she was examining it. She heard Storm let out a little laugh which made her give out a small smile. She continued to look at it and then she looked over to him, "Well it doesn't look like it's in bad shape, to be fair." Fallon said as she began to look around, this wasn't really stealing was it? It was buried for who knew how long, and no one ever came to these parts of the fields. Fallon walked over and she popped the hood open a bit and she looked down a bit, "I'm not mechanical person but I believe some things are damaged in here." She said as she was standing on the front bumper. She wanted to fix it now and she studied it for a bit, "I think there's some books in the school library on these things, because we need to know how to take care of stuff like this for careers, so I could examine them and then we could find the parts that need to be replaced and kinda work from there. I think my uncle has some tools we could use." Fallon said shrugging and at last she turned to him smiling "I think we've found ourselves something to do."

"Find the parts, huh? You know what that means," he said, one side of his mouth pulling up in a smile. He stayed crouching so that he could look at the wheels, which really did need replacing. "Well if you're really up for it...I won't argue," He stood up then and joined her by the hood. Lord, this might take some work.

Fallon grinned at him, as he did that thing where he pulled one side of his mouth up into a smile. It was probably one of the cutest things that he did and Fallon absolutely adored it. At this thought it almost made her blush a bit and she tried to hide it a bit by focusing on the tractor. She cleared her throat a bit. "I think this will be really fun to do together, and I mean gets us out of the house even more, as for the moment though I think we should cover it back up for now, and then meet up again sometime." Fallon said with a smile on her face now.

Storm nodded as she mentioned getting out of the house. Any excuse was a good excuse in his book. "Yeah, not much we can really do today," he said, crossing back over to where they had piled the grass. As he started covering the thing back up, he continued, "So, you figure out what we need, I'll get it, and we meet up here in a few days." It sounded like a good plan, anyway.
