Paris Erickson
Paris nodded briskly as his body fell over the edge of the building, crashing into the mirror like sea of blue below. She had no desire to make sure his body was indeed floating on the surface of the water, the canon ringing in her ears reassured her of it. She sat, numbed from hours of standing and fighting. Her hands seemed to be pulsing with adrenaline, making her frown as she tried rubbing them together to relieve the rush she felt. Remembering the apple she had picked up from the cornucopia, she took it out and bit a chunk off.  Paris didn't regret the deaths she had caused. She didn't believe in reliving things, or wishing she had done things differently. The tribute did everything for a reason; to survive.

The water drained away completely from the area and Paris felt herself being swept up by the wind, soaring through the air.

Paris Erickson
Paris got up, taking another bite of her apple, and looked over the side of the skyscraper. It seemed like all the water had suddenly vanished. Hm. She payed little attention to it, as she was about to go sit back down, when a gust of wind swept her off her feet. The tribute's first assumption was that the game makers wanted her dead, and were going to send her plummeting down to the streets of the town as well.  Her breaths became quicker as Paris looked down, seeing that she was soaring through the air, and not heading down yet. Oh. Observing the area as she traveled, the girl didn't resist the movement.

She continued to float through the ever, going over some buildings. She would soon leave the town.

Paris Erickson
Paris was a little concerned that she would smack into the sides of some buildings, but the stream of air seemed to avoid the obstacles. Shrugging to herself, she reached for her apple again, holding her sword in her left hand as she ate. The tribute figured that if anything, the game makers were using a peaceful method to deliver her to the other two teenagers. Wanting to be completely ready, she continued munching the fruit, watching buildings and streets fly by. Her brown eyes noted that the wind had carried her almost entirely out of the town, towards the rest of the arena. Paris smiled, her eyes searching to see what she had missed while stuck inside a well.

She started to see a river in the distance. ((Sorry, we're waiting on Zeke and Shaun to finish fighting))

Paris Erickson
Paris continued to munch on her fruit, barely containing herself as she ate. She had forgotten that eating was something important, and the food in her stomach was beginning to remind her of that. She noticed a river coming into view, and observed it. There weren't really any rivers in district twelve, so she took a few seconds to looked it over before becoming bored by it. Just anther moving body of water; she had seen, and nearly been killed by, enough water for one lifetime.

occ - yeah i kind of figured haha. on an off note, shouldn't paris' kill count be at three now? idk i might be mistaken.

She then saw a large wall of water across the river, which wouldn't have been possible outside of the arena. ((yeah probably. I'll change it))

Paris Erickson
Paris had finished her apple by the time that the magical wind took her past the river. She tossed the apple's core down at the ground, hoping that the game makers wouldn't mind. The tribute was getting used to air travel, and considered most of the arena quite normal, until she saw surges of water skyrocketing upwards. Her eyes widened as she stared at it, mystified by the surreal image. The wall seemed solid, but appeared to be constantly moving. What was it hiding?

There was movement beneath the water, and a body floating in it.

Paris Erickson
Paris narrowed her eyes at the moving wall, trying to place what was happening past it. She blinked, thinking that she saw wrong. Was that... a body? No, it couldn't be, the game makers would've surely moved it by now. No, that was definitely a person. The tribute inhaled sharply, hoping her body wouldn't be joining that one, spinning around in a wall of harsh waters. Shaking her head, as if to clear it, the teenager sighed, thinking that if the wall was still up, something needed to be happening inside the wall, or past it. The other two tributes maybe? She hadn't thought about who it could be, maybe the district four pair? One of the other tributes had mentioned something about them.

Profile
Jesse Haynes
District Nine
I finish my scramble to the top of the building, rolling onto to the top. Pushing myself onto all fours, I looked around the roof. Paris was standing off to the side, watching and waiting. I finishing standing up and dust my knees off, looking around the landscape. The moment I finished taking in the view was the moment the building shook. I quickly drop back to one knee and steady myself. "That's a warning," I think to myself, straightening up. I hear Paris say something, but I'm unable to understand it. Soon, her foot is in my chest and I am flailing back off the roof.

My mind is a blur with thoughts. The most prominent, repeating one is the thought that I was just betrayed. Somehow, the girl I had almost given my life for had kicked me from the top of a building, with no regrets. To say I saw this coming would be the largest lie I've ever told, because I didn't see it coming. For some reason, I had trusted Paris, even though I knew one of us would eventually die. I guess my trust was misplaced. I mean, I had barely known the girl, just meeting her in the well when she was fighting that boy from Three, and attacking her without thought. Maybe that's why she did it. She remembered me attacking her, and wanted revenge. No, that couldn't be it, I thought we had made up. I've protected her and attacked with her. We made it from the well together, killing Rune in the process, just so we could make it farther. I was hoping to duel it out with her in the final battle, an epic conclusion and fight to the death. I guess it wasn't meant to be, because even our last encounter was pathetic, as I am falling from a building. Is there any shame in dying, I wonder. I guess there is shame in trusting your killer, obviously. The feeling of betrayal is nothing new to me, but being betrayed by someone your trusted so much is.

My body smacks the water, I feel the breath knock out of me, feel my last instinct to flail. It's no use, I attempt to tell myself. I can't swim and the impact was too much. My body twitches as it dies, ending my life. I watch from outside my body, an out-of-body experience, it seems. My body goes lifeless, floating with the current of the water. Looking up, I give Paris a one finger salute before disappearing into nothingness. The end of my story is here.

Farewell Jesse Haynes, my own image in these accursed Games. Your story was not meant to be a long one, but it was one that I was easier able to control, knowing I was controlling myself. It's a shame that this is where your life end, so close to the end of the Games. However, with my victory being captured only a Game ago, the GMs and Tributes had other plans for you. May you rest in peace knowing, hopefully, your efforts were not in vain.

Paris Erickson
Paris continued to watch the wall with interest, hoping that it didn't come surging towards her. She let her mind travel back a few minutes, rewinding to the moment she chose to kill her only real ally in the games. Was she honestly that desperate to go back, to her home? She had no friends there, except maybe MJ, but she was just a dog. Exhaling, Paris pinched the bridge of her nose, wishing away the terrible thoughts. Jesse trusted her, or at least, she assumed. They had fought well together, they could've been the last two... then she could've gone home, because of a fair fight.  Instead, she had gone with a stupid, cowardly move. He wasn't even paying attention, he couldn't have possibly reacted to that. Paris Erickson was not a coward. She would fight. She would be left standing, this much she was sure of.

Paris Erickson
Paris felt numb as she watched the churning wall of water turn into more of a bubble shape. There was definitely something going on in there, probably a fight.  Looking upwards, she saw Jesse's face illuminate in the sky, reminding her of her betrayal. Her lips pressed tightly in a frown, she turned her attention back to the water.

Paris hears a cannon go off and she is dropped in a clearing by the forest. (I'm making a topic, just give me a second, then post there.)
