I didn't come for a fight but I will fight 'til the end

The news spread fast; some workshop had designed a new model that was supposed to be faster and look cooler than anything before. Lots of design workshops spouted off those words, but the frequency never stopped the hoards of teens that wanted to see the vehicle's first test run.
"'Scuse me," Cali pushed her way through the crowd, carefully stepping around people. At least, until her heel came down heavily on someone's toes, "Oops! Sorry," she looked sheepishly at the person who owned the toes, hoping she wasn't about to be caught in a brawl.

Marshall had been sent down to the track by his father to check out the new model being tested, as it seemed to be posing a threat to his company. He didn't actually think it was going to be that big, and neither did his dad, but Marshall still knew the importance of making sure. Just in case. Marshall found the crowd of people, waiting to watch the test run and made his way to the middle, his hood up, as he didn't want someone to recognize him. Finally, he found a spot where he could see over everyone's heads, but not a moment later, he felt something come crashing down on his toes and he yelled out slightly, but then covered his mouth as his head jerked around to face the culprit. Expecting to see a boy, his eyes had a fiery anger in them and he was about to start yelling until he saw it was a girl, and before he even got any words out, she was apologizing. Marshall's expression softened slightly and he shook his head slightly saying, "It's...it's fine. Just watch where you're going next time, alright?"He kept a straight face when he talked and even sounded slightly annoyed, before turning away, hoping, and was pretty sure, he wasn't recognized.

Cali nodded vigorously "Yep, yep, really -" She cut off at the sound of an engine roaring to life. The crowd seemed to come to life with it, and surged forward, pushing her Cali away from the guy she'd just been apologizing to. Oh well, at least she was being pushed towards the track. Somehow, she ended up right on the fence line just as the vehicle left the starting gate. It zoomed around the track, picking up speed until it hit its top and held steady. It wasn't nearly as fast as the last car she'd seen, but the kids around her still got excited. They cheered the vehicle on, but it eventually slowed down to a stop, and the kids dispersed. A little disappointed, Cali turned away with them, only to spot the guy she hadn't quite finished apologizing to. "Hey, hey you! Again, really sorry about stepping on your foot!" she called to the guy, chasing after him. "Sorry, again. You ever seen a slower test run? Talk about anti-climactic." She tossed in a comment about the car, hoping she wouldn't seem too abrupt in trying to finish that gosh darned apology.
