The crowd buzzed from all around excited to see the young, fresh new tributes this year, hoping to be impressed. With their high hopes, maybe a couple of tributes could catch their gleaming eyes.

(Each tribute gets 2 posts to make or break their first impression. Post away!)

Dialogue Stuff
"Mac speaks.."
"Stylist speaks"
"Prep Team speaks"

It was slow in the Capitol. The minute he got there, all he heard was screaming and clapping. All the noises buzzed in his ears now, so it was hard to hear what his stylists said. "Hun.. d'you..." He heard come out of her weird looking main stylist. "What?" Mac said in a loud voice, trying to make sure he could hear himself. It was the Parade tonight, and the teen had to wear something funky. His stylist told him to close his eyes beforehand, so he did. They ripped off clothes, sewed things together, and touched him in every place imaginable. It was uncomfortable, but when he opened his eyes, it was even worse.

Jaw dropped, he listened to his stylist scream. "Hunny, do you like it? It fits your District perfectly!" She exclaimed, looking at the other three people. They all nodded in excitement. It was quite annoying looking at so many weird faces. Unlike home, people in the Capitol wore the color pink. Pink out of all things! There was a mirror being held in front of him. "You have got to be kidding.." He  said in disbelief, seeing apples and pears all over his shirt and pants. They gave him shoes with all different fruits on them. The worst part had to be the hat. A shiny-red apple shaped hat. "If you were a Capitolite, I would just kiss your-" He tuned them out now.

Mac stood up now, walking away from them. "Wait, sweetie!" One exclaimed, rushing over to give final touches to him. He didn't even look at her, or respond. The dumb person only cared about getting money based on his outfit and how much the Capitol liked it. Mac would never have to talk to these people again, not if he didn't want to. He could basically ignore every person in his 'team' besides Kettle. Kettle was the only person that seemed to understand this intellectual.

His stylist and prep team all tried to get him to listen to their game plan, but he ignored it. Nobody could help him now besides himself. The chariot was in front of him now, the two dark grey horses ready to go and run their hearts out with pride. Mac wondered if horses had minds, too. If they had sympathy for the tributes. Because if they did, he'd probably like animals. His District Partner peppily skipped up onto the chariot, spinning around in circles. This little girl must have obviously been crazy or mental, because she didn't seem to know that she was going to die in a week. But who cared, she'd die even if she did. The little girl was too puny to stand a chance at the bloodbath.

The first group was off, both wearing some kind of feathers. Man, that must have been uncomfortable. But if you set aside this, they were the most dangerous people. Then came Districts Two, Three, and Four, mostly intimidating too. Then came a few more Districts, some of the calmer and weaker Districts. One of the boys was dressed up as a lumberjack, which made the tribute laugh a little bit. That guy was kinda adorable. No.. no crushes. Don't set aside Jude just like all the other tributes do. He yelled at himself. One, finding love in the games made you weak. Two, he loved Jude with all his heart, and replacing him because Mac would probably die wouldn't make the matters better. The horses jolted off now, Mac was going up against the world.

The Capitol roared for District Eleven just like they did each other tribute. He was sweating from being covered up with plastic fruits and have long-sleeved shirts on, but he'd have to live with that for a little bit. He'd have to live with the fact that he'd be sweating probably in the arena too. The teenager felt one of the plastic apples, smiling. This should be an easy way to lose off heat. Instead of them throwing flowers, I throw fake food. He thought to himself, twisted the fake apple like he would a real one. Mac launched them out into the crowd gently. Even then they didn't make it too far, but it proved that he could be just as funny and casual as the other tributes. While his partner waved, Mac continued to throw the fake foods out into the crowd. He was being a bit outgoing for once.. on the outside. But deep down in the inside, he was scared..

ミTristan Planksミ
outfit

As he stepped off the luxorious train, his ears were deafened with the sound of cheering and clapping of his so called adoring fans. Him, and his partner were quickly escorted to their stylists and prep team for the Chariot Races-- the first event where the capitol saw the tributes as a whole together. But, they wouldn't be seeing any death... Hopefully during the tribute parade. Nobody has fallen off before, or Tristan doesn't hope so. Walking in the building, he saw a man and woman he had guessed as the people who would beautify them to fight to the death. The man that was his stylist walked up and offered his hand over in a friendly gesture as the prep team bounced up behind him. "Ooh! I think we got a good one this year!" One of the prep team members squeeled and making a very odd movement with their hands. Maybe expressing excitement? Tristan hoped so. "I think I can pull something together for him," His stylist said, as the prep team pulled him away.

Tristan was quickly wheeled into the room where they would 'beautify' him, or at least some kind of beauty work on him. They stripped him of his cothes, which made him uncomfortable at first with his body fully exposed to the stylists. One of them saw the discomfort in his eyes, and piped up. "Oh, don't worry. We won't make it completely unbearable to watch yourself become a true beauty for once and not a complete pig.", causing him to have a sigh of annoyance from the tone they were using.

They started the process of stripping his hairs off, and it was bloody painful Tristan hoped they were enjoying the process of watching him clench to the sheet every time they rippedoff his leg hair, making him make a sharp cry of pain. He kept his eyes closed the entire time, hoping to remove some elements of the pain. It probably took hours until they finished the ripping of his hair off. He felt empty, and awkwardly cold. They quickly sent him to his stylist, where he'd get the finishing touches.

After the last hour passed, he was finally able to look in the mirror. Tristan was pleased with the stylists' choice of clothing and how he looked, in all honesty he was praying the stylist wouldn't make him look like a living piece of paper or a tree. His prayers were answered, but, he looked even better then he originally hoped. Hopefully, the capitol agreed with him (and his stylist) . Tristan looked more like a lumberjack, and it kind of reminded him of home in a good way. He smiled in a warm way, that seemed to make him look kind of impressed and satisfied with the outfit and nodded in approval. "Showtime?" The tribute asked his stylist, looking up at the clock located inside the room. With a nod, they were off to the chariots.

It was hot. And, when he says hot-- that was just for those without the layer of clothing he himself had on. The lights shining down on his face made him seem to be sweating from the heat, almost looked as if he was just finishing some kind of a marathon. Tristan fanned himself as he looked around at the other tributes and their costumes. The people from district 1 were in this weird feather get-up, that kind of honestly made them look like a turkey to the tribute. The male from 11 was a fruit. A no joke, actual fruit. The outfit seemed to make him laugh a bit, and saw that the male found his own outfit funny too.

The Chariots started moving on out, and he gripped the side with blood-white knockles as he was scared he'd fall off at first-- but shook the thought off. He smiled with bright white teeth, and started waving to the crowd in a friendly way. Most people saw his outfit normal, but, some were goggling at him. They were glued on him, and didn't understand why. Tristan took his hat, and threw it out to the crowd next to him with a blown kiss towards the audience with that. He was finally in the spotlight for once, and loved it. Every single bit. But, he knew deep down that he can't let that get to himself. For now, though, he'll just enjoy the ride.

Aaron Seam
At Aaron's first step off of the brilliant train, now a bit tipsy to his embarrassment, so he straightened his back and walked with the peacekeepers that pushed him forward silently. The cheers of the crowd that was gathered filled his ears, causing him to jump a bit but remain walking forward toward the preparation area. Seeing the building made him look up at it's massive build. With just a shake of his head in awe, Aaron stepped into the building with a rush of cold air blasting his face as the doors swung open. Immediately seeing the crew which was supposed to be his, he quickly realized this was going to be a very long few weeks.

The first impression he got of his crew was a very bad one, them jumping to shove Aaron to the station in which he was to be cleaned up. Mumbles was all that came from them, while whispering to themselves. Without consulting him they pushed him onto the table he was to get his 'make-over' on, right after stripping him to his underwear and placing him in the gown in which all the other tributes were being forced into. Aaron stood still as stone as they shaved the small bit of beard he had barely grown, making his chin and cheeks smoother than ever. After he was absolutely scrubbed clean and make to look into perfection, they sat him up and the thing he saw made him groan in disgust. A clothes rack. The stylists quickly pulled the hospital like gown off and began to dress him, picking out the weirdest pieces of clothing that he had ever seen. Khaki pants, the most normal thing in his outfit, feathers...oh the feathers. The shoulder pads made him sneeze, but Aaron was scolded as they tied a black bandana tied tightly around his forehead and topped it off with a black hat. When he was finally allowed a mirror, he gazed into it and at the main reaction was a heavy sigh at himself. Maybe he looked a bit...sexy, but he had never been in such formal and embarrassing attire. But he only gained a glimpse of himself before he began to get ushered to the chariots area, hearing the horses snorting in impatience already as they were hitched to the chariots. Aaron wasn't even sure if he was ready.

As his feet fell heavy in the boots which had been shoved onto him, Aaron looked around at the other tributes that were being led towards the chariots to gain a idea of what he might be going against. One poor tribute had fruit all over him, dang, Aaron would've gone crazy if that had been him. When he neared his chariot, he waited until the peacekeepers left him alone to gently stroke both of the equines, speaking softly to them with a small smile. But when the order was made to load into the chariots, Aaron sighed but climbed into the District 1 cart. Right beside the girl beside him, who looked like she was about to have a heart attack. Nudging her gently with a feathered shoulder he smiled comfortingly, right before the chariot jerked and they went off.

Soon darkness enveloped the chariot in which Aaron stood, but as light emerged he took a deep breath then was welcomed into the area with the screams and cheers of the Capitol residents. With his most devious and charming smile he raised his hand and waved, blowing kisses to some groups of women that he spotted. He figured, charming might work as a angle, but the devious would help. Let's just hope he was a bit correct, because what he does in this weird place might make him live, or it might kill him. One thing bounced around in his head, he wasn't in District 1 anymore.

Aaron was in the Capitol and was putty in their hands.

Auralee had never been good at being the center of the attention, so she wasn't exactly in her element. She felt her face get warm as the chariot broke through to the crowd and suddenly there was light everywhere. She shifted uncomfortably in her dress, which was tube-shaped with no sleeves, down to her mid-thigh, and pinchy-tight in tones of metallic silver and shiny blue. It was modeled after the side view of a train, with little glowing lights and a high collar in the back that wrapped up to her painful topknot bun. There was a small tube poked into the bun of her hair that was billowing soft steam. Auralee was just glad she didn't have to walk in the chunky plastic heels they'd stuffed her into. Most of all, Auralee hated that she looked nothing like herself. She'd never worn anything strapless or anything this short or tight, and certainly nothing with electric additions. Auralee stared at the crowd with wide eyes, and nearly screamed when she saw herself on a screen. Her makeup was heavy, thick black wing liner and shadow with sharp lines, shades of blue fading into pale skin, stark with silver lips. Auralee would be amazed if the Capitol even managed to recognize her after this. Supposed to put on a show, right? She took a deep breath and shakily stood up. She nearly tipped over, but somehow kept her balance. Auralee rested a freshly manicured hand on the front of the chariot for balance and used the other to wave to the ground. She turned up the corners of her lips, but she couldn't fake a real smile. Hardly original, but the stylists worked hard on this craziness. Shouldn't waste it.

Ulrik stepped off the train after arriving at the capitol. The trip had been long and rather uneventful, and he was glad to finally have made it to the capitol. He looked around, everything was breath taking and beautiful, much bigger than in district 9.
He met with his stylist team on the morning of the parade, they had a lot of work to do before he was ready to enter in the parade. Finally, the time had come for him to make his appearance to the capitol. He was nervous, but he put a big smile on his face, then walked to his chariot. He looked over at his district partner and smiled at her.

Ross Bonnett

Nothing made Ross more excited and scared then the thought of the parades, it meant the start of the Games festivities, and that also meant less time to, well, live. He somewhat knew his chances of living were slim, especially with almost half the tributes being older then him. But he couldn't help to be excited too, this was his chance to make an impression on the people who could save his life, he had to make the impression a good one.

His stylist wasn't a half bad person and wasn't horrible at making decent outfits. The outfit seemed to resemble a toga and had gold stitching all over it, she then put a blue knitted shawl with gold highlights over his right shoulder and he was off to his chariot. He waited for a while for District Eight's time and went to see how the other tributes were looking, the majority looking like they could kill him in seconds, but some looking just as afraid as he was.

Then it was his turn.

He knew he was ready to awe, so he put on his bright smile and waved at the crowd. He was good at making people love him, so he was going to do everything he does when he tries to woo a girl. In between waves he would blow kisses and wink at a few Capitol girls. The Capitol hopefully loved him, and he acted like he loved them until his chariot stopped.

Maybe he has a chance now?

(random fish face)
Luna didn't want to go on the chariots. Especially in this ridiculous get-up.
Her stylists had shoved her into a long, silvery what-she's-assuming-is-supposed-to-be-a dress. When she took a good look at it, the color seemed to reflect a bit of a rainbow hue. She lifted up her arm to examine the powder the Capitol citizens had caked onto her pale skin. It was a similar color to her strange outfit. Her shoes were a pair of plain flats, which the girl was grateful for. She couldn't bear to wonder how long they would have to stand in the chariot. However, the stylists had scrubbed at her skin until it was raw, and her hair had been cared for so much she couldn't see it ever becoming tangled again. Luna couldn't see what had been done to her face, but she felt a lot of weight on her face. Although the girl was't as made up as other tributes (Luna felt bad for the boy dressed as fruit), she felt self-cautious. This is more skin than she usually shows back in District Four. Before Luna could wonder what else the Capitol citizens had done to her body, the excited stylists dragged the frightened girl towards the chariots.
Luna managed to peer into a mirror on the way out, and immediately widened her eyes in fear. The stylists had turned her into a FISH. Luna didn't mind the glittery powder glistening on her cheeks, but there was just so much of it! And people at home would see her like this! Luna felt tears begin to form in her eyes, but the crazy-looking people took no notice. They simply wiped the liquid away, scolding her for being so tired and assuming she had been yawning. Luna shook her head, wanting to tell them she was sleeping fine. But these people were waiting for her to die. They were waiting for her to be dumped into an arena with 23 other children. They were waiting for the moment they would all begin murdering each other. They were waiting to see who the victor is, and will instantly forget about the deaths of innocent teenagers. This is their entertainment.
Luna wiped her cheeks softly to avoid smearing the make-up. No matter how stupid it looked, her stylists had worked hard on it. She didn't want to hurt their feelings. She climbed onto the chariot as calmly as she could with her shaky legs and took a deep breath. After listening to the roaring crowd for a few moment, the chariot lurched forward. Luna shielded her eyes, temporarily blinded by the bright lights. The Capitol citizens cheered as District 4's chariot rolled towards who-knows-where. This is her chance to make a first impression. No matter how embarrassing, this has to be done. Luna hesitantly raised a hand and smiled shyly. She didn't listen or see the response of the Capitol. The tribute eventually got used to the screaming crowd of overdressed people and offered a sweet curtsy, or what she hoped looked like a curtsy. She then mustered up all the courage she had and looked up at the Capitol's people with a small smile. And made a fish face. Never again. I'm never doing that again.

DISTRICT EIGHT

38TH GAMES

l a c e y   d e b e l l a
Lacey sighed as she walked down to her stylists backstage of the Parade. She thought it was boring there, to just stand in a chariot the whole time and let the Capitol's crowd look at them. Her stylists were very bubbly and perky, which she didn't like very much; she disliked them a bit more after scrubbing and waxing her down to her bare skin. Fortunately for Lacey, they only trimmed a tiny bit of her hair. She walked over with her main stylist, who seemed more average to the girl, to the clothing area. She looked at the accessories of her outfit first, which was a blue knitted scarf and a few golden bangels and braclets. They didn't seem too bad to her, though she wondered why the braclets were so luxurious and the scarf resembled something that looked like it was from one of the nicer shops back home.

Her stylist asked her a few questions while she looked over his make up selections for her, and she would give the occasional answer to him. He was probably trying to make Lacey feel comfortable with him, and she was grateful for that, since deep down, she was a tad bit nervous. After a few moments, her stylist finally called her behind a dressing curtain and she opened it to reveal a room stored with a few dresses. The tribute's green eyes examined the dresses on the racks, and then switched to the dress in her stylist's arms.

"Oh my..." the girl whispered as she came closer to the dress. It was a cream color with gold accents and sparkles everywhere, with a golden-brown belt with little tiny gems covering it. It looked sort of like a toga with it's one-shoulder look, but in general, Lacey though it was beautiful. Her stylist handed it over to her with a smile and she took it cautiously. She looked it over, taking in it's beauty, and her stylist interrupted her to tell her to try it on. She went behind a folding dressing wall and did so.

The girl came out from behind the wall and stood in front of a mirror. The dress looked absolutely stunning on her, hugging her torso firmly and flaring out from her waist down to the ground. It had a thigh-high slit in it, which added to her liking. She smiled at herself in the mirror before twirling once around. She smiled again, watching the dress set underneath her. Her stylist took her hand carefully, which Lacey almost didn't accept, and brough her to the make up station. He covered her shoulders and dress with a big towel and carefully began doing her makeup and hair.

Once he was done, Lacey carefully opened her eyes and looked into her mirror. The girl she saw looked beautiful. Her green eyes shined with a light coating of mascara on her lashes, along with a golden eyeshadow. Her cheeks were colored a light pink, and her lips had a slightly darker pink color to them. Her hair was curled up into a loose bun, with a few strands of hair hanging beside her face. Lacey's stylist told her that he gave her an elegant look as a first impression. He put on her scarf and braclets, and laced up her golden heels which came up to her shins. Lacey smiled at herself once more and then heard the announcement calling all tributes out to stage. Her stylist walked her out and she took a deep breath as everyone lined up. She stepped onto her chariot and waited.

As the Seven pair began to roll off, she thought to herself quickly. A first impression, eh? Let's see what this does... she thought as she hopped off the chariot and climbed onto the back of one of the two horses carrying her chariot. The horse starting to freak out a little, but she pet his mane softly and he began to calm down. She hung both of her legs off the horse and she crossed her legs as the horses began to move. She kept a hand on her horse as they began to move and she smiled out to the crowd. She heard gasps from the crowd once they saw her riding the horse's back, though then they began to cher loudly for her. She raised her left hand and began waving out to the Capitol and looked over everyone in the crowd. She mouthed an 'I love you' to some Capitolists, which caused them to scream and cheer even louder for her. Hopefully she was making an impression on them that they wouldn't forget for a while.

((Are we still allowed to post here? If not, ignore this. Razz)

Auralee squeaked and nearly toppled over again when her dress started moving. A stripe of silver that roped across it opened up to reveal a tiny robotic train. The silver stripe clicked fully open to form a track, and the train slowly climbed its way around and up her body. Auralee giggled, both from her amazement and because the moving train was tickling her. She smiled out at the crowd, feeling a bit better now that the ridiculousness had momentarily distracted her from her probable impending death. "Hi!" She blew a shy kiss at the Capitol. Auralee noticed that their outfits were at least as crazy as her own, which was much better than feeling alone. She'd always been under the impression that the Capitol people were cruel, but they seemed rather sweet. It's not their fault, Auralee decided. They've been raised to think this kind of thing is okay. The reminder of the Games soured her mood a little, but she tried to ignore it and fake more smiles, waves, and kisses. She had to admit the wind on her face from moving forward in the chariot felt great, despite the tight dress and killer shoes. Before she knew it, the rush was over and Auralee felt a shadow fall on her head as the chariot reached the end of the parade. "Bye!!" Auralee chirped brightly. She waved goodbye to the Capitol and collapsed back in her seat with a sigh.
