Wealth Status: They are what you’d call middle class in district eight, but slowly going down to being poor.
Family: Father: Nicholas Hemming. 43. Deceased.
From Ava’s point of view, Nicholas was only ever gentle and caring with Ava. He was an interesting individual. He had always been a hearty man in her eyes, and he was one for politics and he only wanted people to see his side. Unfortunately his side wasn’t too popular so he couldn’t share it with many. Nicholas is very much like an orange in the aspect he has a tough layer and may seem strict at times and the love may not show, but deep inside he cares deeply for those he cares about. He is very much an introvert. He had joined the rebellion to try and make sure his children had a better future but that led to his death. Most of their income had come from his job when he was alive as he used to be a warehouse manager.
Mother: Ingrid Hemming. 42.
Ingrid is a fun loving woman who puts family first. She was attracted to Nicholas for his mysterious vibe and how he just had a way of life she didn’t know about. She wanted to be apart of it. She had gotten to know him and she fell in love. She is a sweet, caring, and gentle woman. If you mess with her family however, you’ll be in for a world of pain. She give as good as she gets.

History: Ava is the youngest of four children. She has three older siblings. Sometimes she feels left out of the group but she didn't mind too much. Ava grew up with her imagination and she'd always be playing outside and running around in the districts. Oddly enough Ava had never grown that close with her mother, and she'd rather go to Cadman before she'd go to her mother by this point.
Most of her life she spent getting closer to her father. She saw him as a brilliant man and he really did aspire her to be better in her life. Ava was one of the only few that would listen to his political stances and weird thoughts. She never thought any less of him, and that was why her and her father had grown so close.
Unfortunately due to the state of their district and many other districts, a rebellion was starting up. Ava remembered hearing her father tell her about a new life they could have. One where they would get more money and they would live a more happy and healthy life style. He told her about how a new world was on the horizon and how he was going to help their family. Before long, he joined the rebellion and the last time Ava saw him was at the train station. To this day, she had wished she asked him to stay, because now she lost a father, and the new world he promised was not around the corner. This terrified Ava but she wont admit it.
For a young girl, she knows entirely too much and being around her father she had grown up fast. Ava hopes to one day help her father in the image he had. She wants to get better at some point and she wants to volunteer when she's older and win. If she wins she wants to eventually start another rebellion to save Panem from the dark ages it is about to hit. Although she can't share these views with anyone. For now she goes on being the innocent heart broken child.
Personality: Ava is a very imaginative young girl. She runs around the district pretending it to be more than it is a lot of the time. She often tries to make people have a smile on their face around the district. The smiles warm her little heart and she’s rather talkative too or so she was. Something broke inside of her with the passing of her father and she was no longer as talkative as she once was. Ava had become more reserved like her father but she had taken the time to read a lot of books and she has gained a wide variation of knowledge. Ava had began to share the same love of politics and views as her father. She has taken a lot of traits from him actually, and the older she gets the more she develops to be like him. She misses him incredibly so, but she knows if she is unhappy her oldest brother is also unhappy so she tries to stay happy around him to keep him from pain.
Talents: Storytelling, climbing things, and cooking.
Flaws: She’s often absent minded and off somewhere else in her mind. She is also very impatient with things and she wants them now.
Other: She likes to write down stories in her free time.

District: One.
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Female
Occupation: Jeweler. She took over the family business.
Wealth Status: Used to be of high wealth status, but as of recent in the middle class only going lower.
Family: Father: Valour Elswood. 45 (Deceased)
Mother: Paris Elswood. 45. (Deceased)
Uncle: Midas Elswood. 47. (Deceased)
Aunt: Victoria Elswood. 45. (Deceased)
Older sister: Ruby Elswood 20. (Missing, presumed dead.)
Older Cousins: Calix and Mace Elswood. 22. (Mace deceased)
Pets: She owns a dog. Her dog is a border collie who goes by the name Leo.
History: Ivory was born to Valour and Paris. Paris was an explorer of sorts and often times she'd mine for gems and ores. She would bring them back to Valour who had been able to make jewels and stones out of them. Eventually they both began to make jewelry to make a living and their jewelry was one of the best in the district and many people would come to their shop and request engagement rings, gifts for their loved ones. The Capitol also got most of the jewelry they wanted from their shop. Valour and Paris became wealthy, but eventually they fell in love.

The two got married, and Valour had hand crafted a special beautiful ring for Paris. Soon they expanded their shop to have more space to live and even invited Valour's brother Midas and his wife to come live with them. Soon they also became part of the shop. After Midas and Victoria had twin boys, and Paris had baby sat them a bit, she convinced Valour that they should have some children of their own. Within two years of that, Paris became pregnant for the first time and she was very excited. Their first bundle of joy was Ruby. Although, there were some complications with giving birth to Ruby that they almost lost Paris. However the two of them did become healthy again and they were a happy little family.

They didn't think it was possible but they still tried for four years, to get pregnant again. Eventually at what they decided would be their last attempt. Paris was pregnant again and this time it was with Ivory. Ivory was born with no complications and upon Ruby meeting Ivory, Ruby was very excited.

The two girls were far apart in age, but seeing as they were the only female children they got along fine and they had lifted each other up. They would play outside together all the time and enjoy each other's company.

Although the happiness Ivory had with all her family had slowly slipped away. As the rebellion was going on they didn't have much money so her uncle and father had gone off to work as peacekeepers to try and make the rebellion end so they could just live in peace. Although the rebellion went on a lot longer than it should have. Soon Mace and Calix were peacekeepers as well. Ruby couldn't take it and she ran away from the district or so she tried, it isn't known whether Ruby died or is just missing. Paris had gone after Ruby but her remains were found eventually. Victoria had also decided to join the peacekeepers.

By the end of what was the rebellion, only Calix came back. He said that he came back early because his mother told him someone had to look over Ivory. Unfortunately the rest of their family had died, and all they had left now was the two of them. They decided to keep the business going, as Ivory had learned a lot about making jewelry with her father.

One thing she does have to remind her of her parents is her mothers engagement ring that her father made for her mother. It was found with her mother's body and she was given the ring. Ivory's heart is broken in terms of the loss she has had but she wouldn't let on to it.
Personality: Ivory was the youngest of the family. She had grown up with an older sister and two older cousins who were basically like brothers to her. She always got the short straw and treated like a baby the most. Ivory hated it the older she would get. Although they did have a good family vibe which had made Ivory a more friendly person in general. She is able to talk to others with ease, although she may have some sarcastic remarks here and there. Growing up with older siblings meant you had to be quick on the draw and that's exactly how she is.

Even though Ivory lost most of her family, she is quite selfless. She has a program going for all smaller children to come to, where they can feel safe, and talk about the parents they lost in the previous rebellion. She enjoys helping the smaller children so much that she hardly recognizes her own grief and she puts it down to the bottom of her pit of feelings. Ivory hates to put the burden on anyone else. Ivory has only been able to trust Calix so far with her burden, but he has the same one.

A lot of times the mystery of her sister keeps her up at night. Ivory would think what if she showed up at midnight that she came home? It hasn't happened yet, but one could only hope.
Talents: Very observant and can point out fine details, she can sing but she'd never admit it.
Flaws: She hasn't been able to open up much. Seeing people who are in need. Lastly her mothers ring, if she lost that she'd be devastated and torn apart.
Other: Nothing else.
