Alex pulled her blonde hair up into a sloppy bun as she made her way into the upper part of the district. She really had no business being up here, and was probably better off staying home, but the latter was no fun, so here she was. She never had anything to trade or money to spend, so her trips up here were rare, but she always enjoyed them nonetheless. Walking by the shops' windows, her mouth began to water as she passed a display of colourful candy. Memories of stealing sweets and little trinkets flooded her head as a smile crossed her face. Her mischievousness as a child only seemed to have gotten worse as she grew older. Her mother had been so sure she'd grow out of her bad habits and less than desirable qualities, but instead it seemed the opposite had happened, much to her disappointment. Well there's still hope for Darla. Alex thought to herself with a snicker, knowing that that wasn't true at all. Her younger step sister was even worse than her. Though she'd never say it in front of her family, she was sure Darla would fit in better among the Capitol lunatics. Continuing down past the windows, she found a shady spot that was out of the way, and took a seat, watching people go about their business. She was bored out of her mind, and being lonely was getting old.

"Thank you," She smiled at the old man as he gave her a wooden sword, he shushed himself and turned back to business. Diana happyily swung the sword around quietly, trying not to get peoples attenation. Im not suppose to have it but it feels so good that I can train for the games, if I get picked. She gulped nervously and hide the sword in her jacket, encasing it and zipping her jacket up.

She sauntered along the path, passing windows and mnay shady spots. As she passed one shady spot, in the corner of her eye she saw a girl sitting by herself. Wondering, she hurried to her spot and took a seat beside her. She must of seen her at school somewhere?

"Hello, what are you doing sitting here?" She asked smiling. Not trying to freak her out but to be kind.
