On The Run

Looking up, I realized I was stuck in an echoing, empty, grey area. Fog cover the ground until it reached my chest, and then blackened woods surrounded me from all sides. I Panicked at first but then smiled, So far it wasn't a trap, but I should stick close to the edge because 1) I only have a shovel, and an apple. 2) this place could be a house full of creatures with unbearable speed and strength. I gulped, Noticing what I have gotten myself into already.

The fog was constantly spreading, covering most of Gemini's field of vision.

The Fog seemed to feel my presence, reaching up, and sweeping out. My vision was soon small, to maybe a few meters below me. I Coughed a little, noticing that it was thicker, the higher up it went. My mind flashed to a fire lesson in Preschool, about staying low in a fire, because smoke rises. Instinctively I dropped to a belly roll, taking my shovel off my back. This was the first time I noticed my shovel. It was collapsible, and folded over the blade of the shovel. My first thought was to bend the over-sized blade into a flat surface, to be more of a knife, but second looks told me it formed a 2f00t shield. My shield could become a weapon about 4 feet long, in about 10 seconds. I practiced a lot to get it to that time. I smiled, and hoped to hell that some edible animal can towards me soon.

The fog obscures Gemini's vision, but he can hear nearby animals.

I pulled off my shovel, still barely able to see, and snapped it out into a weapon. I breathed slowly listening to something crawl around the space just ahead of me. I know That it doesn't have any human features, because of the thick fog, but it maybe able to hear extremely well, and a racing heartbeat is like a dead pan signal.

I gulped and breathed even slower... I heard of animals from the past, Large Creature. The called it a Mole. This surely couldn't be that right? I thought they didn't eat meat... I dropped even lower searching around my feet before I moved. That's when I saw the shadow pass out of the corner of my vision.

The animal is medium sized, moving near Gemini's feet, now was his only chance to kill it.

I swung in an arch, from my top right, to the the bottom left, trying to swipe off its head. I Had absolutely no idea what it was, but a dark shape coming at me in a fast pace. I leaned as much force as could into the swing, timing it perfectly, it was inches above the beast's head, become more clear.

As Gemini swipes, he sees the animal, it was similar to a pig, but was a little different, it had more fur. Now it was also headless.

I stumbled forwards, not sure what had happened. I looked down at the head of a fury pig and fell back in surprise. My breathe caught in my throat as my right hand landed in something went and sticky. "Hello Beasty" I crinkled my noise at the sweet smell, but a thought came to me. I pushed my hand down the open neck, and yanked out the intestines. I smiled and I pulled the tubes of flesh in half, and tied the from right fore foot to right back foot, and same with the left. I Slipped it on my back, like a back pack, crossing it over so that it didn't slip of my arms when I ran. I moved towards the head to take a better look.

There was some brightness coming through the fog in front of Gemini, if he wanted to get out, now was his chance.

I snatched up the head of the Pig in one hand, and the gripped my shovel, Shield mode, in the other hand. I took off across the way, towards the light, there would be time to look later.
