Genevieve panted slightly as she reached the Cornucopia. She couldn't run any further, her broken ribs were aching. Plus she knew she coud puncture something inside of her with the broken bones as well. Genevieve tried to suck in big gupls of air in small breaths, but it wasn't working that well. She gave herself a drink of water and attempted to use her first aid kit. Hopefully it would work wonders like it had before. Then Genevieve ate one of her oranges. She absolutely had to keep her strength up. After all this the District 8 tribute looked around for her ally, Skye. They had been through a lot together, so hopefully he had followed her. It was always better to be in a group. Unfortunately this group was made up of two injured people. It wasn't the best arrangement, but they could probably make do.

Rhea ran from the pond as fast as she could. The arena was falling apart and all she cared about was finding a place with some stable ground. She bent over, catching her breath as she used her knees for support. She lifted up to see the Cornucopia. She hadn't been here since the start of the games and coming back was almost like seeing your childhood home in some weird morbid way. She walked along the grassy surface of the arena looking around to see if there was anything or anyone around. That was when she saw her. Genevieve. Rhea gulped and approached the girl trying to be sneaky. She knew that the girl would attack her on sight, but she would do the same thing. With the games so close to being over now it was all one could do to avoid a fight. Rhea readied her spears, bringing both to a ready position. She would try for a big attack again, there was no harm in trying at least. Rhea had the upper hand, she would be able to sneak up on the girl and even if she missed there were plenty of other times that she would be able to attack. Rhea charged ahead the spears pointed forwards ready for a ram attack.

Genevieve spun around as she heard footsteps. They were very loud. Her mouth dropped open in astonishment as Rhea appeared. "What is wrong with you?!" she yelled furiously. "Are you following me or something? Have these Games messed with your head so much that you've become a stalker?! I'm honestly sick and tired of you Rhea. You've brought me nothing but trouble since these Games started! Why are you targeting me? I haven't done anything to you! You're the one who made an alliance with me and dropped it. I don't care if you were trying to 'protect me'. You've attacked me the whole time since then which makes your story completely unbelieveable. Now stop being a creep and stop following me! Better yet, why don't you just go and die? It would make a whole lot of people much happier than they already are!" And with that Genevieve sprung forward and slashed at Rhea with her axe. She wanted her dead, right now.

Skye got out of the fog and his eyes seemed to see a new light when his visions became much clearer. He stopped right behind the cornucopia to see Rhea in front and.. Genevieve snapped. Well, Skye would've snapped if he was her too. He looked around, anticipating for Josh to follow as well. When he found a good footing on the cornucopia, he quickly pulled out the same cream his used the last time and applied it on his torso and right shoulder, before tying back the leaf on it. Hopefully closing the gash would help with his nerves on his right arm but he doubt so. He'll have to try and prevent any more blood loss. He looked back up and shot an arrow straight at Rhea. What else could he do? He couldn't just hide and wait. His thoughts suddenly lingered towards Maria, where was she? Well not that it was any of his business but it was the top five. Skye looked back towards the trees that didn't look much like trees, waiting for any figure to come.

Rhea's spear charge sliced across the side of Genevieve's stomach, putting her axe swing off target. The spear left a narrow gash across Genevieve's side.

Rhea jumped back a bit after she landed her attack on Genevieve and it was out of the corner of her eye that she saw the arrow flying towards her. Rhea could only move out of the way hoping that she would be able to dodge the attack coming towards her. Rhea then turned back towards Genevieve with a straight face. She really wasn't affected by Genevieve's rant, it was just the ravings of a desperate girl. "Oh yea Genevieve, I am sooo sorry that I attacked you in a game that requires only one person to live. I am so sorry that in this death match I ended up finding you and doing the one thing I need to do to go home. So yes I deserve to die, so please kill me. Let me just lay down and die so I can make people so much happier now." Rhea said this condescendingly towards the girl. As she said previously she didn't care about the opinions of the other tributes at this point. Only one of them would be alive at the end of this and soon the other opinions would no longer matter anymore. If it meant going home back to district 5 then she was willing to do anything, even withstand a barrage of hateful words of a girl who knew she was going to die soon. Rhea twirled the spear a bit before slashing it upwards down on Genevieve.

Genevieve jumped back from Rhea's attack, hoping she had jumped far enough. She noticed Skye enter and attack Rhea. Sadly she had managed to block. Genevieve refocused on Rhea and took a deep breath. "Um, yes. You should be sorry. The least you can do is show a little compassion for other human beings and not turn into a monster. People like that don't deserve to win. AKA you, Rhea. You're turning into a monster and you don't deserve to win. Me? I'm not a monster. I haven't killed a single person since I set foot in this Arena. What about you? You must have killed at least one person on your amddened rampage after Kaspar died. Yeah, I said it. Kaspar. Remember him? I'm sure he's turning in his grave about what you have become." she grinned visciously at the end of her little speech. Sure, she was getting personal and that could be a mistake. But Genevieve was way too angry to care. She slashed at Rhea again with her axe.

Skye finally shot a decent shot out only for Rhea to dodge it. He and Genevieve made eye contact for a second and he nodded towards her before she burst out into an infuriating mass of words at Rhea. He pulled another arrow at Rhea while the whole conversation was taking place, he wasn't one to judge and neither did he want to add fuel to the fire so he just kept silent, and let them thrash it all out. He was sick and tired of this game that they were all forced into but he had to last till it ended. Skye held on to his right arm as if it would come loose and glanced around the clearing again, waiting for Josh to appear. He wondered what would had become of the Foggy Clearing but then again, he didn't really want to know.

Out of nowhere a throwing knife whizzed past, it tried to slash skyes arrow. Josh stepped out while Skye was still processing what happened, and stabbed the boy. He looked around the group of people, confirming his suspicions that Maria was dead. He then walked over at rhea, this would probably be the last time they fought together.

The noises were very close, and suddenly the exact source was made clear, as the trees to the west of the tributes gave way to the massive sinkhole that was consuming the arena, throwing up chunks of dirt, rock and tree at the tributes, hitting them, they'd have no choice but to run in the direction of the Eastern Cliffs, away from the sinkhole and the ground giving way.

Rhea went to lift her spear up in a attempt to block Skye's arrow but at almost lightning fast speed a knife zoomed by and hit the arrow right out of midair. Rhea turned to see Josh standing there attacking Skye and taking a spot next to her. She knew what that meant. Maria was dead. Rhea gave a reassuring nod to Josh, a way of saying sorry for the loss. She knew they were close, and he was probably hurting in some way or another. "Thank you Josh. And I'm sorry about everything." Rhea then turned to him and kissed him on the cheek. It meant nothing more than a thank you. He was her only remaining ally, and she felt like the pleasantries may soon dissolve. She should thank him now before it was too late.

That was when Genevieve mention him. She said his name and called her a monster, yet anyone hearing her right now would think differently about her statement. The rage inside Rhea escalated as she raised her spear. "You don't have the right to talk about Kaspar! How dare you, you think you are so innocent because you haven't killed anyone. Well let me fill you in on a little secret, you can't win without at least one kill. And at least I am embracing that now, unlike you who lives in delusion about what you will have to do. I wante...no scratch that, I need to go home, and in order to do that there needs to be 23 dead bodies. It sucks, but unfortunately it is the cruel truth. So you can keep spitting out your lies, but it only makes you look like the desperate little girl that you are!" Rhea went to slash at Genevieve but soon lost her balance as the ground around her began to crumble and sink. She looked to see a sink hole forming, swallowing up everything around it. She needed to get out of here and quickly before the abyss behind her sucked her up. She grabbed Josh's hand and ran, ran in the only direction that seemed to be staying the same. The cliffs, but only Rhea knew what awaited them there.

Genevieve tried to move to the side of Rhea's attack. Then a slow smile spread accross her face. Well, it looked like she had hit a nerve with that last comment. Her eyebrows snapped together as Rhea spoke. "Sorry to break it to you Rhea, but we are the same age. Don't call me a little girl as if you're not one. And I can talk about whoever I want to. There are no restrictions here. And I don't act innocent, I just haven't turned into a monster. I know the only way to live is to kill at least one person, and I plan to do exactly that. Kill one person. I am not going to let these Games turn me into a killing machine." Genevieve wasn't so angry any more. She was just sick of Rhea. Her burning anger had turned into cold hatred. She was about to attack her again but then the Gamemakers unleashed their surprise. Genevieve stumbled slightly as the ground moved, causing pain to flare up in her ribs. Once the ground had settled she raced after Rhea. She had no choice, there was only one safe place left.

Skye saw his arrow being deflected by a knife and he knew what that meant. Josh came at him a split second later and he tried to block the knife before it hit him. He didn't have the time to reach for his sword so he just instinctively slashed him with the arrow in his hand before Josh backed off to stand beside Rhea. Before he could make any comments at Josh, he realised that the last canon would've been for Maria. He glanced down and muttered to himself an apology to her, gripping onto the arrows that she gave him. Sure they've never been the best of friends, and sure they were never really allies, but they weren't exactly enemies either. Seconds later, debris started flying all over the place hitting them all, and hitting Skye in all the wrong places. He gripped his right shoulder and gasped as pain shot right up there. The whole arena was in chaos, why would there be a sinking hole?! But it wasn't time to question the Gamemakers' choice of doom. When there was a chance he just ran after everyone else, seeing that everything but the Easten Cliffs were falling apart. Skye had always avoided the cliffs but looks like there isn't much choice any more.

Josh readied a throwing knife and aimed it at skye. then he heard a rumble and dropped the knife. his mouth gaped at he giant sinkhole. he followed rhea and prayed that maybe skye and gen would fall in. but they probably wouldnt. he looked back a few seconds earlier, the kiss, he knew it was just a thank you. now they were near death, and josh needed a heal, he rubbed some water on his wounds as he was running in hopes it would heal. he moved over to the cliffs.

the water did nothing to help Josh's wounds as he ran after the others.

(I said a while ago Water would no longer work for healing, +10 doesn't count)
