Astrid laughed as he picked her up and put her over his shoulder, "Free taxi service!" She called out as they walked out of the training center and into the streets of district two. When he told her that she had to give him directions she snorted, "You expect me to give directions while I am staring at yours legs and hanging upside down?" She asked teasing him. "Hmm, perhaps I should get us lost, what would you do then?" She asked, curious to hear his answer and then finally she thought for a moment, "Just keep walking forward and then turn a left or something, maybe it's right you need to turn, or maybe we are suppose to turn around and walk that way, who knows." She said obviously bugging him about the directions and she laughed a bit.

Rafe Terrn Rafe listened to her, "If you want to get lost I could always toss you down that hill, it leads right into the forest at the bottom of the mountain" he says, smiling. "If not, you could always give me good directions" he says. Then, he thinks up a compromise of sorts, "If you want you can sit on my shoulder and then you actually can see everything, its that or how you are now, so take your pick" he says, chuckling.

When he mentioned that he'd drop her down the hill into the forest at the bottom of it her eyes widened, "I'm fine not being lost." She said and then when he mentioned that he better give her good directions, then he gave her a choice of whether to be hanging like she was or to be sitting on his shoulder and her interest perked a bit, "I'd prefer to see and sit on you shoulder and give you directions." She said to him and waited for him to move her so she could see, "We should go find chicken or something.. Or perhaps lamb." She said mumbling to her self in general.

Rafe Terrn Rafe pulled Astrid over his shoulder and then lifted her up to sit on it. "Got a better view now?" he said, letting go so she had to hold on. "I think there's a small building that serves food over there" he said, pointing down one of the paths to the left. Immediately realizing he had become more useful as a navigator than Astrid already, Rafe sighed.

It was quite a fast motion when he pulled her up but soon enough she was sitting on his shoulder. The blood was rushing back to her head adn she squinted her eyes a bit. Finally she was better and she looked around, when he suggested one food place she shook her head. "Their food made me sick once, I don't feel like throwing up again, thanks." She said and then she looked around. "If you turn right over there and walk down there a bit you'll find a place to eat. It's alright food with a decent price." She said pointing over to a path.

Rafe Terrn Rafe walked down the path Astrid had pointed, "What does the place look like?" he asks, looking around at the buildings around them. Could really be any of them, you could only tell if you went inside or had been there before with what these places were for. "So by decent prices, how many coins are we talking for a meal?" he asked, preparing to gauge a price range for this ordeal.

Astrid looked around as he walked and she had to look at each building and she was trying to find it. "A decent price? It's roughly about three to five coins per meal depending on what you order, I don't remember exact prices though." She said and then she smile when she found the place. She pointed to it and smiled, "It's right over there." She said.

Rafe Terrn Rafe saw where she was pointing and walked over to it, he moved his shoulder and dropped Astrid back to his arms before walking under the extended roof, which she would have hit her head on. He set her back on her feet at the door and gestured at it, "Ladies first"

Astrid watched as the got close to the building and as they did he lowered her a bit so she wouldn't hit her head. Well at least he was the nice not to have her hit her head. When then finally got under the extended roof and she was finally set down her feet, she could have walked but he decided to carry her, not he left it waiting for her to walk in first. "Ladies first, well how are we going to decide who goes first then if we're before ladies." She said teasing him and then walked into the building, quite a few district people ate here, peacekeepers never ate herre though, which was probably better for Astrid because she gets into trouble a bit but not always.

Rafe Terrn Rafe walked in behind Astrid. "Where should we sit?" he asks, looking around the room. He wasn't the most outgoing guy, so he didn't really know many places in the district, aside from a few restaurants and work stuff. This also meant he knew nothing of who was around in this kind of place, and who to stay away from.

Astrid looked around the place and at who was sitting where, you had to be careful who you sat beside because you never know what could happen. Soon Astrid found an empty table and she walked over to it. "We can sit here." She said and she decided to take a seat, "You can go get the food if you want and I can keep our seats saved." She said. Starting to look around she looked at each person in the building, she knew just about all of them and could name just about every single one, a few of the guys around their age in there she had flirted with before and she avoided their glances a bit, it'd cause problems and she knew it so she looked back to Rafe.

Rafe Terrn Rafe was standing at the table Astrid had sat down at, "Uh, what do you want to eat?" he asked, feeling like a waiter. He looked over at the big menu nailed on the wall and read it over. He figured he'd have some chicken, and hope it wasn't too dry.

While Astrid had looked over at Rafe and soon he was standing there asking what she wanted. She looked over at the menu on the wall and her eyes skirted it for a moment and then she looked back at Rafe, "Well, I had my mind set on chicken for awhile. So you can just get me that or whatever's cheap I suppose." She said.

Rafe Terrn Rafe nodded, "Chicken it is" he said, turning and going up to the counter. He asked the guy for two plates of chicken and waited for it to be ready. He looked over at Astrid while he was waiting and grinned, out of habit. The chef passed Rafe his order and he took it, walking to their table and sitting across from Astrid, he set her plate down in front of him and put his down before sitting. "Hope its good" he says, grabbing his fork.

Astrid tapped her fingers on the table waiting patiently and she kept her eyes looking down or looking at the door, it was weird for a few guys staring at her, she would have lashed out at them but Rafe was here and she already got in trouble with a few peacekeepers. Besides that she was starting to feel those blows that Rafe had done to her earlier. She looked up and saw Rafe looking at her grinning and she grinned back, soon enough he came back with the chicken and he gave her, her plate. "Thank you." She said and then took a fork and took a chunk of chicken and ate it. "Not too dry, a little bit but what do you expect? We aren't the Capitol." She said quietly.

Rafe Terrn Rafe frowns, "I'd hate to be the Capitol, honestly" he says. Taking another bite of chicken, he looks down at it and speaks while chewing, "Its not that bad anyways" he says, before adding, "I'd love to see the quality of the turkey around here, theres tons of them in the mountain's". This sparked an idea of a job for Rafe to do while he was still in District Two, and his face showed that he was thinking about something, betraying him as he decided not to talk about it now.

Astrid played with her chicken while he spoke and she finally took another bite of the the chicken, "I've had worse." She commented and then thought about what he said about the turkey, "Turkey's pretty good, I had it once because Astoria wanted to try it." She said and then took another bite of chicken and made sure her mouth wasn't full when she spoke, at that moment she looked up and it seemed he was thinking, "What idea do you have now?" She asked curiously, she had other questions but she'd save them for later.

Rafe Terrn Rafe shrugged, "Nothing Astrid" he said, pretending it was just some passing idea that he wouldn't go through with. He took a few more bites a chicken in silence. "So, Astoria's tributes aren't in a good spot are they" he says, thinking of how the boy was mauled the death and the girl was about to be killed off by a group of other tributes.

After he shrugged it off as nothing she went back to looking down at her plate, she played around with the fork a bit. After a bit of silence he spoke up again and she looked back up at him, it was just to mention Astoria and her tributes, "Well, Astoria has great advice but I don't reckon with the way those two acted that they even really talked to her, which some don't, but some did and almost won." She said but didn't speak more on the issue. "So, it seems like you want to be in the games for revenge, what if you never get reaped? Are you going to volunteer then?" Astrid asked and then took another bite of chicken.

Looking up at Astrid, he starts to feel a bit bad, going off somewhere he could probably die after she had to endure the same thing watching her sister in the games. Astrid listened to him go on about him aiming for the 30th games and she nodded, she understood why he was doing it, she'd be like that too if Astoria had died in the games, when he asked her about the situation she ate a piece of chicken yet again and waited to answer. She then sighed, "Yes and no. I don't want Astoria to suffer if I went in the games and I sorta don't want to be in the games but I do." She said, "I want to go in to prove myself though, compared to my sister, look what I have to live up to, it's not the best living in the shadow of your older sister, it's rather terrible." Astrid added.

Rafe Terrn Rafe shrugged, "I sort of know the feeling, just Flint didn't win, and I'm still expected to be at least as great as he was" he says, "I just hate being compared to him, I wan't to win in his honor for my family, but for myself its a matter of doing what he couldn't to show people that I am not the lesser of the two of us". He finished his chicken and sat back, "That wasn't too bad a meal" he admitted, looking around the room.

As Rafe talked about how he knew what she had felt like she continued to eat her meal. By the time he had finished she was just about done anyway. She paused eating for a moment and nodded, "Flit probably would have won the games if it weren't for the gamemakers." She said softly and then she sighed,"Although Flint didn't win, I think his family his still highly looked up to, everyone knew what a great tribute he was, and sometimes winning the games doesn't prove anything and it doesn't show how talented you are, I think dying and giving it your all to survive is fairly noble and you remember those people more so than the winners of the past." She said and the finished off her meal. "Well, considering I am starting to feel those hits you did to me in training, we should find some ice."

Rafe Terrn Rafe smirked, "I guess I was right" he says, before dropping his smirk as he remembered something, "I guess I also have to buy the ice packs for you" he added, grumbling about being too nice to Astrid under his breath. He got up from his chair and went to the counter, dropping off eight silver coins to cover their meal. He walked back over to Astrid, "So, where are we going to find ice packs?" he asked, standing next to her.

Astrid looked over at Rafe as he spoke a few words and then he had gotten up and went to pay for their meal. As he did so she got up and pushed in the chairs and put their plates neatly in a stack for it to be easier to clean up and then when he came back and stood beside her she looked up at him, "I don't know where to get ice, I might have some back at home, I don't know if Astoria bought any for certain though." She said sighing and then she walked out the front door and held it open for him. "We could probably find a shop though." She added.
