Family:
Chase Emerson: (Deceased).
Chase Emerson was a tall kid with tanned skin, brown hair, and stubble. Chase was Jared's brother and, in a way, mentor. He raised him after their insane father killed his mother and then was killed by a neighbor, taught him how to use weapons, how to survive somewhat in case he ever was chosen for the reaping, and most importantly, gave him his nickname that many people call him by, 'Frost', because Jared always seemed accustomed to cold climates and was very pale, like frost in winter. One day however, Chase was chosen for the reaping. Chase hugged Jared once, smiled, and then he was never seen again, killed by some District Eleven kid with a rock. Jared swore after that, if he ever was chosen for the reaping, that he would survive so he could get back to his life.
Brief History:
Jared Emerson had a horrible early childhood. His father was a drunk, his mother was absent, and his brother was too scared to help Jared in some way. Sometimes he was beaten and his mother just stood there. Often he was complained to often by his father, always mocking him for his aptitude for writing stories. He turned to cutting then, only at the age of six, and grew out his hair in such a way that it made him seem depressing.
One fateful day, when his mother did intervene in a beating, she was killed by his father and then a neighbor barged in, killing him. The neighbor took the boys in, but he didn't have the time to stick around to raise them, so Chase, his brother, took up the charge of Father-Figure and raised Jared to become a survivor.
Things were going well, especially since the boys had inherited a large sum of money from their parents, but again, another fateful day reared its ugly head, and Chase was chosen for the reaping when he was sixteen and Jared was twelve. Jared was hugged, Chase smiled, and then he never saw him again. Jared still has nightmares about that moment. So when Jared found out that Chase was dead, Jared swore never to do stupid things, just survive, if he was ever to be chosen for the reaping.
Ever since, Jared has been writing stories and training with his weapon of choice and trying to learn things to help him if he is ever chosen for the reaping.
Physical Appearance:
Jared stands at 6'1" and weighs one hundred and eighty three pounds. He has raven black hair and blue eyes. His figure isn't exactly scrawny, but he sure isn't a body builder. So he's somewhere in the middle when it comes to physique, not the most athletic and definitely not the least athletic.
Personality:
I think a quote by Jared seems to some his personality up.
“Well, I guess, I hate myself, I don’t like what I see in the mirror. I.. I don’t know I guess… sometimes it just isn’t worth it right? I uh, I keep to myself, I don’t like to get rushed into things unless I want to rush into things then I’m more than fine. Uh, I am very sarcastic, very. I seem to always be making sarcastic remarks at everything I see. So I don’t know what my personality is really. I guess confused. Or just don't care really,”
Flaw:
Jared's known to be sarcastic, cocky, and is almost the opposite of what you would call 'Hubris'.

Weapon of Choice:
He uses swords proficiently.
Talents:
1. Jared can use blades well.
2. Jared is an excellent craftsman.
3. Jared can think about things logically.

Jared's known to mess with people's heads with his cockiness, usually getting them angry or just flat out annoyed, because he feels like it. He's also very sarcastic. He's a smart-arse.
