Rhea's heart galloped as she ran from the giant sinkhole that had formed a the cornucopia. And with each step she took the more and more her heat raced. She had let go of Josh's hand awhile ago, mainly grabbing it at the beginning of the trek to get his attention. There was only one place that wasn't totally falling apart right now and that was that cliffs. The place Kaspar had warned her about. Rhea knew what would be coming soon enough, she saw the signs but she didn't have much of a choice at this point. She reached the eastern cliffs in one piece at least, so she couldn't complain to much. She caught her breath for a moment, knowing that she was the first tribute to reach the destination and took the down time while she had some. Rhea readied her spear though, and kept her guard up. Anything could happen now.

josh was running away from the giant sinkhole, he was glad he was a good runner in district three. he saw. rhea already made it there, but not gen or skye, he was pretty happy about that. he took out his water bottle and splashed the remaining water on hs wounds, and drank a little too, the water was out but he kept the bottle. "welcome to the final four" said josh, as he flipped around his district token, a simple cog on a string around his neck. he was happy that he made it this far, but he knew he had to win now.

Skye caught up with the rest and looked over his shoulder to see the catastrophe. The hole was engulfing everything, like a hungry blackhole. Trees were snapping, ground was turning into mud the swiveled down the hole, and the only thing that seemed to be holding on was this cliff. He grabbed a pill and swallowed it, hoping that it'll at least lessen the throbbing pain. His shoulder was experiencing the pain but his arm was totally blank. He'd rather have the pain in his arm, that would've at least meant that its senses were still working. He kept the rest back, backtracking the number of times he used it. It was probably gonna be his last for a while, if the cliffs were the only thing left standing, he doubt that it was going to stop at that. He stared out in silence, waiting for Genevieve to come up. He didn't attack and he didn't really know why. A gut feel seemed to just make him stop in his tracks, as if waiting for something else to happen.

One of the jolts in the earth causes Genevieve to lose her grip on the cliff, she loses her footing and falls into the collapsing arena below. A nearly painless death, but bloody, as her head smashes on a rock at the bottom. Her body disappears in the mud and water.

Rhea watched as the cliff began to crumble and fall and along with it Genevieve. She couldn't see the results exactly, but she knew Genevieve was dead. No one could have survived that fall and lived, not even Heppa Duskdale. Rhea turned to face the two other tributes and took in the fact that she was in the final three. Only two more deaths and then she could go home. Rhea lifted her spears, and she knew that exactly she needed to do. Looking at the track records of the other two competitors she knew who she needed to try and take out next first. Rhea looked sadly at her targets as she took each spear in her hand and spun in a wide circle hoping like a helicopter to slash at both Skye and Josh. She wanted to cripple them, make it harder for them both to fight. Rhea put herself into a defensive position afterwards ready to see what Josh and Skye would do.

Skye felt the ground rumble and he looked over to see Genevieve fall. To her death. His eyes widen to see the grotesqueness disappear within the mud. He showed a pained expression and he closed his eyes for a second, I'm sorry Genevieve, rest in peace. He should've looked out for her when they were climbing but it was too late to change anything. He backed away from the edge and turned back to see Rhea try to hit them both as he tried to duck low, not even sure if he could, but it was worth a try. He knew who his target was, and it was something he was going to do it no matter what. After that big attack, he quickly pulled an arrow at Josh while everything was still in a daze of what happened. Skye let out a shaky sigh as he let his hand drop back down. The short distance made shooting easier for him and it was the final three, why safe keep his arrows if it was all coming to an end soon?

josh was not surprised to see that rhea had attacked him, he owuld of done it too, if it were him, but it wasn't and he knew his main concern, skye. but then Josh watched as gen had fallen to her death. just pulling him closer to the crown. he pulls out a knife and flings it at Skye, he continued to climb, maybe this could all end soon. he thought. he knew, after making it this far, he would have to win.

Rhea couldn't help but smile a bit as her attack hit both boys and looked like it hit them hard. She stepped back a bit, and observed the cliff side. She knew it was fragile and Genevieve's fall was a testament to that fact, so she not only needed to keep an eye on both tributes but also the loose ground beneath her. Rhea gripped her spear and closed her eyes before attacking again. She wasn't sure what she was doing exactly, but she tried to concentrate on the weapon in her hand. Over this experience it had become more like a piece of her. She remembered when she grabbed it from the Cornucopia that first day, how she used it to defend herself and defeat the roots on these very cliffs and how she offered it to Kaspar only to have it back in her arms after his death. The long weapon had now become apart of her like an arm or a leg, and it felt so necessary to have it near. But not just any spear, this spear. This particular weapon had somehow melded with her, she shared this bond with it that she could not explain. It was like a new energy had entered into her, a new force to drive her forwards. She lifted the spear and in a few effortless twirls slashed it upwards in a crescent shaped arc towards Josh's injured and beaten torso.

Skye winced as he felt his chest being punctured and heard a few cracks. His torso was probably in a worse condition than his arm and he tugged on whatever that was left of his wet suit and pressed onto the gash as it stung like mad. It hurt to breathe sometimes but it was the least of his problems at that moment. He straightened his back again as the wound screamed of pain and he pulled back an arrow. Hasty shooting was causing him to miss as his focus was blurred by pain. This time, he blocked out everything else - the pain, the bleeding, the destroyed arena, the rumbling ground, and focused the arrow head straight at Josh's heart. He gripped onto the notch between in index and middle fingers and relaxed before releasing it as it shot ahead. Everything came flooding back once it left the bow and Skye sagged his shoulders, not wanting to stretch the tear any further. If there was anything he wanted more than to go back home, it was to at least do this for Megan, to pay back the favour of taking the life of their fellow District 4 tribute. Thinking about her was a painful thought process but it made his eye reflect the determination to fix at least one thing right.

Josh was dissapointed about the knowledge that he was most likely the next to die, he couldnt block both of the two at the same time. he decided to block the stronger attack that came from rhea, then he threw a knife at skye, if he was going to help one of the two he was going to help the lesser of the two evils. he would want rhea tow in if he died. he was aware of the districts lack of to many victors. then he gets to the top of the cliff after brutal climbing. he prayed that both of his opponents missed, even though it probably wouldnt happen.

The cliff began to rumble, as the West, North and South sections were taken into the maelstrum of dirt and water below, all that remained was the cliff they stood on. It too began shaking, but something else was causing this, as ten big roots drove their way out of the top of the cliff, knocking the three tributes off their feet. The Root Monster was back, and it was angry that its home was destroyed.

The cliffs around the arena began to fall, throwing up rocks and mud into the air and then swallowing up everything into the thick, muddy waters below. All that remained of the arena was the cliff that they were on, there was no where to run and nowhere to hide. This was the end, the big finale and the Gamemakers wanted to make sure that none of the tributes were going to try and escape their fate. Just when Rhea thought that the sounds and rumbling had finally stopped, it began up again and now revealed 10 roots rising from the cliff side. Those abominations were back, and Rhea couldn't help but go into her head and remember the first time she fought those mutts. They whipped around, coming towards Rhea trying to attack her. She remembered how quick they were and knew she probably wouldn't be able to jump over them or duck under them, so instead she brought her spear up and tried to deflect and push away the root from her body. Rhea then took her attention off of the mutts the Gamemakers sent, knowing full well that even if all three of them tried to defeat them it would probably be of no use. She decided to use these mutts instead of fighting them, and charged at Josh with her spear readied to stab him. If she could at least block their attacks on her she could use them to help take out her other two tributes.

Well there goes the rest of the arena, Skye looked over where they were and nothing was absolutely nothing left. When he turned back he saw a knife flying at him and he tried to dodge and hit the knife away. His arms were injured and he definitely didn't need his legs to deter to that state as well. Before he could regain stance and launch another arrow, mutts started crawling up the cliffs and it was different from all the rest that he had seen. That was probably why he avoided these cliffs. They managed to knock him down on his knees before he got up to a kneel to take a shot at Josh again. After that, Skye got up on his feet and took a look at the mutts. They looked very much like roots and there were about ten of them. Skye didn't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing but Rhea seem to be taking them to her advantage. They looked pretty pissed about the whole destroyed arena so they were on a rampage. But at that moment, his biggest concern was Josh. He didn't really care who or what does it, he wanted Josh dead. He didn't care if he had a kill under his name or not, though he'd rather not, but this was an exception if so.

Josh watched as the entire arena crumbled around him, then giant root creatures sprung out in an attempt to attach him. he attempts to parry the monsters attack. he had already realized the emminence of his death. but he knew for a afact he would not go out without a fight. as he throws a knife at skye.

Rhea just continued to fight, she couldn't let her emotions enter into her mind even though they constantly threatened to. She couldn't help but feel guilt and regret for the things she did in this arena and watching Josh weakly fight only reminded her of this fact. But as the roots whipped back and forth threatening to hit her once more she could no longer spend anytime trying to think about those things. She ducked, hoping that the roots would not hit her as they passed. Then Rhea brought her spear up again and raised it over her head and jabbed the bladed end towards Josh once more.

Skye sighed inwardly as he missed that last arrow. He had to stop shooting rashly if he wanted to live and just then one of those mutts dashed towards him to attack. He tried to dodge and push it far away, far enough for him to get time to shoot another arrow at Josh. The mutts were in frenzy, and they were making everything more difficult than it is. Who knew that it could get any worse? He could feel himself getting weaker as his arm could only tremble by all the sudden forced movements but he had to ignore all that. It'd hurt even more when the adrenaline runs out and he didn't even want to think about that. He'd like to make use of it while it's still around. How long more do they all have to suffer? How long has it been? It was getting sickening.

Josh started to feel weak as he slashed. he knew his end of the story was coming soon. but for now he had to push away from the white light. he had to fight until death and what may lie after it. he attempts to block rhea and feels a burning sensation in his arm when the monster slashes it. he took out another throwing knife and hoped for the best as he threw it at skye.
