Caesar's face lights up the screen behind him as his chair slowly spins to face the audience. "Hello, Capitol!" he exclaims in a peppy voice. "Let's give a big, warm welcome to our next tribute: Jennifer Briggs from District 6!" The crowd cheers like a pack of wild animals and Caesar grins, his surgically-whitened teeth sparkling in the light. "Hello, Jennifer! We're so glad to see you! Tell me, how has the Capitol been treating you so far? I know it's not quite home, but do you love it here, or what?" Caesar gets up from his seat and shakes Jett's hand, pulling her gently towards the seat that has been set out for tributes.

Jett wasn't very nervous for her interview, she just hoped that someone in the Capitol would like her. After all, that was the point of interviews right? To make people like you. Then again, this whole thing was crazy enough as is. Taking a deep breath, Jett walked onto the stage with a smile on her face. A fake smile, like the one her escort had given her when she got reaped. The thought was depressing, but Jett didn't look it.

She shook Caeser's hand and grinned widely. "I'm so glad to see you all too!" Jett said giddily. She laughed and took a seat in the tribute chair and listened to his question. "It's lovely, and the food here is amazing. There are definitely a lot of talented cooks in the Capitol." the tribute said with another smile. She felt like something was making her unable to stop smiling, but she kept that to herself. "It's very different from home, that's for sure, I mean, home doesn't smell this good." Jett said, motioning to the studio. It was true, everything at the Capitol smelled like flowers and sugar. In District Six, it smelled like gas and metal.

Caesar grins and sits back down into his seat. "Well, aren't you just the sweetest thing?" he coos, smoothing back his perfect blue hair. "I happen to make a mean batch of cookies myself... but this isn't about me, it's about YOU, dear! So, tell me, what can we expect to see you do in the Games?"

Jett grinned and laughed. "I'm sure you do!" she said, still grinning. She brushed her hair out of her eyes and waited for her next question, feeling eyes of the Capitol Citizens on her. Hearing Caesar ask her what they should expect her to do in the games, she paused to think.

"Well, I don't know if I'll be very aggressive to begin," Jett said, which was the truth. She didn't want to have to kill someone the first day. "I should be fine though, I'll have Pyrite with me." the tribute said confidently. She hoped that both of District Six's tributes got out of the bloodbath and could safely flee the area.

Caesar's face lights up. "Ooh, do I smell a touch of... rrro-maaaance?" he teases, rolling his 'r' and waggling his eyebrows up and down. "That is a truly beautiful thing. Has the handsome Pyrite caught your eye?" he wonders, winking at the audience. The crowd is hushed in anticipation, but can't contain themselves for much longer. "Oh, I can see it now- running in the arena, fighting of the career pack, you stop suddenly and look into each-others eyes, and then- well, I'll leave that up to you two."

Jett felt her face getting red with a mixture of embarrassment and something else, she couldn't place her finger on it. "Maybe you do," the tribute said with a smile. She brushed hair out of her face again ,laughing a little. "I guess you could say that," Jett added, just making small talk. She didn't want to appear awkward, but talking about this sort of thing wasn't really... her thing.

Her mind thought of a reply to his last statement, but her mouth didn't dare say it. "Yeah, and then I get my head cut off because I'm distracted, yeah right." Jett laughed once more before replying again. "Well, I guess you'll have to wait and see huh?" she said, grinning.

Caesar chuckles. "We'll certainly be watching for that, Jennifer!" The crowd roars in agreement. "So, on the same vein, how do you feel about the other tributes? Have you made any friends or enemies yet?"

Jett smiled and paused, thinking about how to answer. She knew that other tributes would be watching this, but she didn't know which would be best. She could pretend to be terrified, or she could pretend to be cocky. Both ways seemed awful. "Well, it's going to be an interesting game, everyone seems very confident and strong," the tribute replied. "So far, I haven't made any enemies," Jett added, remembering that her words would change in the games.

Caesar smiles. "That's just dandy, isn't it? No enemies- it's a great way to start off our 30th Games!" He waves his hand toward the crowd, and, as if on cue, they applaud. At another flick of his fingers, the clapping ceases. "So, did you know Pyrite before the Games? Actually, how were people back home? Anyone you want to give a shout-out to while you're here?"
