Bell's hair is a dirty blond mess. It falls around or above her shoulders. During the summer, she likes to cut it shorter so that it doesn't stick to her neck in the heat. Her complexion is somewhat pale, but in the summer it tans easily. Her eyes are catlike and change from brown to green to hazel, depending on her surroundings. Dark, angular eyebrows frame her slender face and her rosy pink lips have a somewhat significant cupid's bow. She is of average height and is just barely underweight, which in District Six is pretty much average. She could be very beautiful if she worked at it, but she doesn't have the money or patience for less than practical clothes or hairstyles. Her build is thin but athletic. "Hazel eyes, blond hair, average height."
personality.
Bell's humor is dry and sarcastic. She isn't one to joke around or dilly-dally. She is straight to the point and can be rather hot tempered. Bell is naturally introverted and doesn't like to admit that she needs help sometimes. Once Bell makes up her mind it is hard to convince her of anything else. She has opinions and she isn't afraid to express them. At the same time, however, she isn't stupid. She knows when to say certain things and when not too. She believes in working for things and has trouble letting others in. She is extremely independent and stubborn. "Don't mess with me or my family. I think that about sums it up."

Bell is stubborn and independent. These can be good, but in Bell's case, not so much. She never asks for help, even when she really needs it and she tends to believe in her own opinion more than others. "Where to start? I could fill up pages upon pages with my flaws, but I'll spare you. I'm sure you've already figured out a few."
talents.
Bell is quick on her feet and has excellent reflexes, although she lacks in strength. She learned use throwing knives and a sword from one of the children in her neighborhood when she was younger, so she's decent at swordplay and knife throwing. She is clever and thinks ahead before making decisions but can also think fast. "I'm fast."

family.
Lara Edison is Bell's deceased mother. She died during the childbirth of Bell's little sister. She was a kind and motherly woman and was dearly missed. Bell was only 3 when her mother died so she only has a few memories of her. Lara was very beautiful, with long wavy blond hair and chestnut brown eyes. Bell's father is Crater Edison, who is also deceased. He lived much longer than his wife, until Bell was a week older than thirteen. He was a loving father who gave wise advice and was often idolized by his children. He had dark brown hair and tan skin skin with bright blue eyes. He worked in an old factory and often had to work all day and into the night in crowded sweatshops. But, he did it nonetheless. Bell's younger sister Camilla, or Cam, is 3 years younger than her and looks much more like her father. She has the same crystal blue eyes but with long, dark, and straight hair. Cam and Bell are very close because of all they've been through together. Cam has a garden in which she grows vegetables to sell and eat. "There's Cam and me and that's about it. But, we make do."

history.
Bell's mother and father had a decent income for their jobs and community. But when Bell's mother died her father struggled to pay bills and meet deadlines. As Bell grew she realized that she would have to get a job soon. She grew up much faster than she needed to. All was somewhat well. But, then Bell's father got in a fight with a man he owed money to and the next morning he was dead. Bell had just received a locket on her 13th birthday from her father. She took care of Cam who was 10 at the time and even found a job. Bell began working in the factories every summer when jobs were scarcer. And in the winter Bell would sell scarves and hats which she and Cam would knit. Bell would also work part time in the factories. The money Cam earned from her garden was saved up in a jar under their bed and it is still there now. It's for emergencies only. Bell and Cam currently make do with what they have and are living in poverty but not starvation, so in the long run they're pretty good. "My parents died and I got work where I could. That's about it.

Clever, mysterious, or innocent. Not sexy. "I guess I could pull off clever or mysterious. Or I could be all innocent and then turn out to be actually pretty guilty, if you know what I mean. One thing I can't pull off is sexy. I'm just too awkward."

Ali has long dark brown hair that is often wavy after she puts it in braids. It falls like a waterfall down to her mid back. Her eyes are a chocolatey brown. She has long and thick dark eyelashes along with moderately dark brows. She is a bit taller than average at 5'7". She is very thin but not as thin as some of the starving citizens of District Ten. Her lips are a light rosy pink and her skin tone was once tanned but is now paler and her complexion is perfect. She has a beautiful and sometimes flirtatious smile that shows off her white teeth. personality.
Ali knows how to get what she wants. Whether it's convincing her parents of something or flirting with the new girl on the block, she knows how to tweak her personality to who she's talking to's liking. She's an excellent liar, although she's not necessarily proud of it. She only bares her true self to those she trusts and even then keeps her secrets close and does not willingly share them. Ali didn't have as rough an upbringing as most in her district but there have always been long winters and dry summers and she has become a hard worker because of them. She is determined and stubborn and not always the sweetest. She gets angry easily and doesn't feel the need to be kind to those unkind to her. She is quite extroverted however and therefore finds talking to those she does like to be satisfying. She is very strategic and logical about what she does and favors math over art and music because of this. "I'm the definition of imperfect. I love my friends and hate my enemies. That's about it."

Ali has a quick temper and doesn't work well with others. She is quick to judge and first impressions are very important to her. She can be quick to trust at times. She doesn't easily change her mind and holds on to a grudge. She is also a big perfectionist and beats herself up about her flaws."Where to start..?"

Ali has quick feet and a quick thought process. She is an excellent archer and liar and is also slightly handy with a sword. Although she has little upper body strength and experience in the wilderness, she is fast and an excellent climber as well as educated. "Archery, running, math."

Ali's mother, Janice, died recently due to illness. Ali inherited her motherly instincts however, as well as her olive skin. Jared, Ali's father, breeds horses and sells them and is the source of Ali's brown hair however his eyes are a deep emerald. Jared and Ali grew close after the death of Janice but have now grown apart due to Jared's homophobic attitude and Ali's secret homosexuality. Ali has three younger siblings, Willow, Emmy, and Aaron. Willow, the oldest of the three recently turned eleven and has a year until being eligible for the games. She is small and thin and loves horses. Willow has a knack for reading and horse back riding and is the shyest of the family, rarely speaking to those she does not know. She keeps her dirty blonde hair braided back and shares Ali's olive skin and brown eyes. Emmy is 8 and wants to be just like Ali. She looks up to her older sister's brains and speed and does her best to copy her. Emmy herself however is much more kind-hearted than her elder sister and also shares Willow's love for animals. Emmy has long honey colored hair and brown eyes with the same freckles across her nose as her mother. Aaron, the only boy other than his father is just 6. He loves to run and doesn't tire easily. He is loud and can be rude to his many sisters. Aaron looks most like his father, with dark brown hair that is slightly wavy and deep green eyes. "There's me, my dad, Willow, Emmy, and Aaron. We're pretty close."

Ali has many horses but her favorite and the ones she is closest to would easily be Sadie, a black and white Shire horse. "Sadie, my horse."

history.
Ali and her mother were always close. Her mother taught her to ride horses and in turn Ali taught all her younger siblings as well. When Willow was born, Ali was excited. She had few friends at that point and was glad to have someone. Willow and Ali didn't get along so well however. Willow always got her parent's attention, being the youngest. Ali who wasn't used to not being the apple of her parents' eyes became quickly jealous. This all changed when Emmy was born and she became the new star of the show. Ali and Willow came to peace with this however and grew close as they helped to raise Emmy. They would go horse back riding together. Ali became more popular at school and made more friends through her charm. Their family was happy and they decided it was the right time for yet another addition- Aaron. The year Aaron was born was the year Ali got Sadie. This may be the reason why Aaron and Ali aren't as close. See, Ali spent all her time with Sadie. That and the age gap of ten years often felt a mile wide. Ali was still fond of her younger brother despite their lack of time spent together. Then came the time when Ali's mother died and everything changed. Everyone stopped talking to each other and Ali's grades slipped. After her mother's death, Ali hardened. She became more untrusting and began to hide her true self more and more. It wasn't until her father talked to her and her siblings and they all let their anger and frustration out when Ali got a bit better. But she is a different person today because of the experience. Through this, their family is very close and although they are still grieving they are still happy. However, Ali is currently very distraught over her father and his homophobia. "We all have our own troubles, compared to some my life is perfect."

Ali could easily be anything and is willing to be anything as well. She would do whatever it takes to win unless it means dishonoring her family. "I just want to win."

Jade's eyes are storm cloud grey, her dark lashes a canopy over them. She has a heart shaped face and her skin is a light almond color. Thick, dark brown hair frames her face, as she usually leaves it down. She has big, peach-colored lips. She looks older than her age, and is taller too, at 5"7. Since she is poor and has nearly starved to death in the past, she is fairly slender. However, Jade is often working in cotton fields and therefore she is also somewhat muscular. As far as clothing goes, she wears whatever she can get a hold of. Most of her clothing is also handed down from other children at the community home."Um, I have brown hair and grey eyes. A bit tall, I guess."
personality.
Jade is very friendly. She can be too quick to trust others and is very optimistic. She sees the bright side of things and loves to joke around. Although she is kind, she also knows how to stand up for herself. She isn't afraid to say or do something if someone is making fun of her. She absolutely loves math and science. But her love of machines wins over all. She spends her free time learning about engines and how they work and how to fix them. She has even invented a few things herself. With the right materials, she could make some things in the Games."I try to be nice to others, unless they aren't nice to me. I'm very interested in mechanics."

Jade is the opposite of trigger happy. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she killed someone. She is trusting, and could easily be manipulated. While her hand-eye coordination is good, she isn't very athletic and can be clumsy."Well, I'm not very quick on my feet."
talents.
Jade is very talented in math and science. She loves to fix up rundown cars, broken sewing machines, really anything she can get her hands on. When faced with a problem under pressure, Jade can usually keep a cool head and think logically. Her hand-eye coordination has been perfected from years of working on intricate machinery. If it were not for her old friends at the community home teaching her to deal with swords, she would have little skill with weapons though. But, they did teach her, and she can handle a sword. "I know my way around an engine."

family.
When Jade was a month old her and her younger brother were dropped off at the community home. She has no idea who her parents are. However, she has become very close with some of the other orphans over the years. Her brother, Riley, is very different from Jade. His mind is much more abstract and he spends most of his time drawing with whatever materials he can steal from the other orphans. Riley is 10 years old, so he is not old enough for the Games. He is also tall for his age and is very scrawny from the few food rations the community home provides. Riley has green eyes and dark hair. His skin is very tanned like Jade's and he has sharp cheekbones and a round face. Riley and Jade have been through a lot and are close because of it. Jade has always been his protector and sometimes teacher. It was because of this closeness that they were able to escape the community home and get jobs. "The only family member that I know of is Riley, my younger brother."

history.
The aforementioned drop at the community home led to Jade and Riley being stuck at the community home and starving until Jade was 13, and Riley was 7. During those years, Jade taught herself math and science and mechanics after school and on the weekends. She would go to the dump and find machines so that she could work on them and learn more about mechanics. However, a lot of the time she could not work on machines since her and Riley had to find food. Jade spent a lot of her time in the Black Market fixing up the machines of the people who sold things. Because of this, she made some friendships there. When Jade turned 13, one of the people in the Black Market offered her and Riley jobs. Jade left with Riley in the middle of the night and they now stay in an abandoned house that Jade did her best to fix up but is still pretty broken down. However, in recent years, the Peacekeepers have discovered their home and have forced them to pay rent. But, due to their savings from their jobs they have been able to survive, for the most part. "Well, I used to be at the community home but we got out of there, thank goodness, and we fixed up this old place in the Upper District."

Jade would be best as herself: intelligent and friendly. But if it came down to it she would do anything but ruthless. "I'm not the best liar, but I could try. But, I don't think that I would do ruthless or anything like that."

A watch. "When I was like 11 or something I figured out how to build a watch using some materials from the dump. It's not very pretty, but it works."
