Family: Her mother, Emeline Gallagher, is 46 and is often called Emmy. Her mother is a very sweet woman who loves her kids but gives them some freedom as long as they do their chores. She and Annie have a loving relationship and she has thick brown hair and bright blue eyes.
Her father, Haggard Gallagher, is 48. He is a free-spirited guy who thinks parents should let their kids experiment with youth and do whatever they want. He's funny, or thinks he is, and has light brown hair that's always in his hazel eyes.
Her sister Marlee is 24, and doesn't like laziness. She always wants to be active or doing something and thinks hard work builds character. Marlee is strong, energetic, and loves to help out on the farm and take charge. She has shoulder-length chocolate brown hair and light brown eyes.

Her cousin Jessaline is 19, and is extremely flirtatious. She can be a bit mean-spirited, but she doesn't realize it and most of the time she's more loving and outgoing. She has brown hair in loose curls and warm brown eyes.
Her cousin Bess is 17, but they don't get along that well despite their age similarities. They're not enemies or anything, they just don't talk much. Bess seems to always be sitting in her room alone, and is rather quiet. Annie thinks she's a sweet girl for the most part and is just a bit shy. She has dark hair with blunt, straight bangs and brown eyes. This brings the people living in the Gallagher house to 11, which feels cramped to Annie.
Brief History: Her parents having grown up in the heart of District 10, they wanted to raise their kids somewhere further away from all the hustle and bustle. So they built a house and barn and farm far off in the hills, fairly isolated, and soon got to work making babies. They didn't want their kids to be lonely since they lived so far away from anyone she could befriend, so they ended up having six kids, which was a bit much for their small house. They were well off, but their house was getting full and when a storm hit and took off their roof and several walls, they decided to move in with Haggard's sister and her two daughters closer to town instead of rebuilding. They combined households about a week or two ago and although Annie doesn't like how many people are in the one house, she likes being closer to people her own age and hopes she'll make some friends soon who don't have to walk for hours to get to her house. Her aunt is wealthy enough and they live in a large house with a farm filled with animals and plants that still doesn't seem to have enough room for all of them. Annie loves her big family for the most part, but sometimes wishes she could have a little space from them and get to know people she's not actually related to.

General Appearance: Annie is a bit on the shorter side in height at 5'3", but is still relatively average. She has a slender but healthy body type and has a little muscle on her from working on the farm. Annie's skin is fair and apart from the occasional faint freckle it is usually clear. She has semi-long wavy medium brown hair that cuts off around her chest. Annie usually just keeps her hair out, but sometimes pins pieces of it back or puts it in a high ponytail or braid when she's working on the farm. Her eyes are a pretty lightish blue color framed by her long, dark eyelashes that make her eyes look somewhat wider. She generally wears cute but casual clothing that she can still move in and occasionally minimal amounts of makeup every now and then.

Overall Personality: When you first meet her, Annie gives off the impression of a nice, friendly, fairly normal girl, which, for the most part, she is. She's a kind person but she's not a pushover, and she's approachable but not the most socially adept all the time because of her isolated upbringing with only family around. Also because of this, however, she has an increased desire to make friends and meet people, so she will probably quickly learn how to interact with people she isn't related to. Annie is the kind of person who genuinely cares about what you have to say and who lots of people come to for advice, but, although she tries her best, doesn't always know what she can do to help solve it and then feels bad. She's a tad more emotional than she lets on and has some difficulty letting go of the past, especially if she did something wrong. She over-thinks things sometimes and panics under pressure, but she's caring and sweet and enjoys laughing or making other people laugh and she'll do her best to help her friends get through tough spots. Annie tries not to judge people and to be polite, but she'll stand up for herself if you piss her off or insult her past the point of her laughing and not caring. Despite her 'good girl' demeanor, she has a bit of a feisty streak in her and likes to be a little reckless from time to time as long as nobody gets hurt. She's a hard worker and has also grown up with multiple siblings and brothers and thus isn't afraid to punch somebody in the face if they really deserve it. For the most part, though, Annie is just a nice girl who wants to make some friends and likes to try to cheer people up when they're down, and she doesn't see anything wrong with that at all.
Talents: Annie is good at making people feel better or laugh and talking them through tough times, as well as riding horses and taking great care of farm animals. She can also cook simple breakfasts fairly well.
Flaws: Annie can be sort of overly sensitive and emotional, even if she doesn't initially let it show. She also is a bit of a perfectionist towards her own actions and gets in her own head too much, which makes her stress about little details and get hung up over things. In addition, she's just now learning how to socialize with non-family members, but she should learn fairly quickly.

Physical Appearance: At 5'4", Leda is about average height. She has a slender build with a some muscle and relatively light skin with a hint of a tan. Leda's eyes are a hazel/olivey-green color that she lines with smoky black from time to time. Her dark, silky hair falls to her chest in subtle waves, but sometimes curls up in higher humidity or just whenever it feels like it. Leda has an oval shaped face with a slightly wider jaw and softly angled eyebrows. She can't afford a lot of nice, fancy clothes, but she prefers her old clothes anyway.
Personality:Leda is and has always been BA independent. She's worked hard for everything she has and is a firm believer in standing up for your beliefs. She's a survivor, and very resourceful, with street smarts acquired from her upbringing and lifestyle. Leda is strong, rebellious, and determined, but a bit too prideful, although she doesn't always realize it. Leda is pessimistic and cynical, but can appear optimistic due to her confidence. Leda is confident in herself because she's had to rely on herself all these years and she's always gotten by. Leda is sarcastic and is not the best at "playing nice" or socializing with others, so she often ends up coming off as kind of rude. She's usually rather serious and is a bit conceited, with a fairly short temper and a somewhat sassy attitude. Leda doesn't take crap from people and she doesn't take no for an answer. She's not afraid to use intimidation to get what she wants and she's used to a little violence, although extreme violence shocks her more than she'd like. She's not entirely as cold-hearted as she pretends to be when it comes to death, but she knows how to mask her emotions if need be. Leda is tough and can withstand a lot without breaking down, and has trouble trusting people. She's relied almost solely on herself or her brother in the past and that's what she prefers, but if need be, she will bite her tongue and work with others.

Family: Her brother, Terrence, is 21. They have a good relationship and live in a ratty old house together. He taught her how to hunt and he works in the mines. Her mother, Maisie, died at age 36, and her father, Barlen, at age 38, when Leda was 8 and Terrence was 11.
Pets: There's a black alley cat that she lets sleep in her house and sometimes feeds. She just calls him 'Cat'.
Brief History: Leda's mother had always been kind of an activist for the less fortunate in District 12, but when she physically and verbally attacked a peacekeeper who was whipping an old man, she was taken into custody and taken from their home. Their mother was held for a few days before being publicly shot. Their dad died in a 'mysterious accident' about a week or two later while working in the mines and after that, Leda and her brother raised themselves. He started working in the mines when he was twelve, pretending he was fourteen, after their parents' limited leftover funds ran out, and Leda joined him when she was fourteen, about five years later. They learned how to set traps near the very edge of the fence but never dared to go far past it or really climb over it. They got the occasional bird or squirrel and found some edible plants by the edge as well, but it wasn't very productive. They signed up for a fair amount of tesserae and have been working hard to survive since then.

Her skin is fair, and her eyes are a pretty ocean-blue color. Family: Tempest assumes she had parents. She never cared much about them, though, and doesn't know their names. Alessandra is pretty much her only family now, but neither of them are the type to get attached. They merely enjoy eachother's company.
Brief History: Tempest was born to a poor family in the slums of District 3. Her father had never been as intelligent as the rest of his family, and her mother got pregnant at a very young age. Tempest's mother gave birth alone in the dark and left her baby to die. Tempest doesn't know what became of her mother, but expects she likely died or sold herself into prostitution, though there is a small chance she married Tempest's father or something and the two lived a long, happy life without their daughter. Tempest was taken in by an old woman until she was 6, when the woman died. Tempest was never the type to get attached, and stole food for a year before being found by a peacekeeper and put in an orphanage. When she was almost 11, Tempest escaped, and lived on her own on the streets. She never put much of a value on life, though she knew other people did, so when she met a 22-year-old young woman named Alessandra at the age of 12 and was told she had potential, she didn't hesitate. Alessandra trained Tempest until she could physically do what she was already able to handle mentally. Tempest's youth made her a valuable asset, since nobody expected a 13-year-old girl to drug and kill them. She started out with poison and slipping things into food, and by the time she was 15 she didn't have to. There was a lot of technological competition in Tempest's area, and Alessandra found quite a few people for her to kill. Alessandra officially adopted Tempest just to keep the peacekeepers at bay, and Tempest took her last name. Alessandra took care of Tempest and gave her a place to stay, but Tempest didn't care about that. She didn't kill people for the money. She killed people because she had nothing better to do, and because it was fun. She liked that the people she killed seemed desperate to survive, would beg her for their lives, but she didn't care. Tempest is not a psychopath, she just never cared about life. So many people live and die every day, making no mark on the world in the long run, so what did it matter? She liked the feeling of superiority she got from them begging for something she saw as worthless. Tempest loved killing, but she knew she'd eventually get old and grey and be hanging onto life for no reason one of these days, so she decided that if she didn't get reaped, she'd volunteer for her last year of eligibility. If someone beat her to it and she couldn't just kill them to get them out of the way, well, she'd hang on a few more years and then start doing dangerous, irrational, entertaining things until an 'accident' happened and her life came to an end. Alessandra, who shares a similar outlook on life to Tempest, is supportive, and has already begun looking for a new protege, though she's not having much luck in such a technology-driven district, so she's considering sneaking onto a train and starting up somewhere else. Tempest and Alessandra are on good terms, and Tempest would see her as an older sister if either of them cared about family.

Overall Personality: Tempest, above all else, doesn't give a damn. She doesn't get attached and doesn't really care what happens as long as she achieves her random whims. She's smart, but she doesn't care about long, elaborate, manipulative plans. For a murderer, she lives a pretty go-with-the-flow kind of life. She's rather creepy and a bit sadistic, and has no regard for human life, even her own. She wants to be in the games to kill and would rather live well and die young than draw out her worthless life and die when her body gives out on her. She's sarcastic and flirty when it serves her purposes and just lets like take her where it wants to, killing all the way.
Talents: She's had plenty of practice killing people and has very little moral issue with it. She's also good with most types of blades, and she considers her sarcasm a talent.
Flaws: She's heartless and a fatalist, and is terrible at making friends. She also has no will to live, so she'd never survive in the games. She places no value on human life.

Family: Her mother, Robin, died during the childbirth of her second daughter, and her father, Tucker, works all night, so he sleeps all day. Auralee also has a 15-year-old sister named Melody, who is weak and sickly and hardly gets out of the house. Auralee feels a lot of maternal instinct toward Melody, but she doesn't really know how to help her.
Brief History: Auralee's family loved her dearly, but never had much time for her. Her mother died during the birth of Aurie's sister, Melody, and due to the complications, Melody's immune system had always been weak. Melody barely survived her childhood, and now spends all her time indoors. She gets sick a lot, loses her breath easily, and sometimes passes out, but she wants to be a normal kid and feels fine most of the time. The Brownings were too poor to afford proper medical care for her, so they don't know exactly what's wrong. Auralee feels like Melody is a lot younger than she is, and Auralee has been responsible while looking after her, but she's not very commanding. Auralee doesn't feel like the older sister. At age 12, she started babysitting other families for money to for food and to help take the load off her sister. She signs up for a little tesserae, but she knows there are much poorer families in the district. When Aurie was 14, she was walking home from a babysitting job when she was mugged. She gave them her babysitting money but they knocked her out, punched her in the stomach, and ran off. Auralee stumbled home and nobody noticed because they had their own problems to worry about. She considered running away after that, trying to do the math of the little money she brought home vs. the food and such she was using, but she never had the heart to leave her sister alone. She's stronger than she thinks she is, mainly because of her home life, but she still knows that if she managed to find the will to kill another person, it would destroy her emotionally.

General Appearance: Auralee isn't quite petite, but she's still got a rather small frame. She has pale, creamy skin that is usually free of both blemishes and makeup. Her wide eyes are a bright blue, and they stand out against her dark brown hair. Her hair is somewhere between wavy and curly depending on the day, and cuts off around her chest. Auralee has an ethereal, almost ghostly beauty to her, but she doesn't care much about her appearance.

Overall Personality: Auralee has always been a total sweetheart. The only time she really loses her temper is if someone is hurting an innocent, and most people who know her have never seen her get angry. She's quiet and kind and mostly keeps to herself, or keeps silent in group conversations with friends. Auralee likes people and wants to be around them, but she's introverted and also needs some time alone. She finds herself relying on other people sometimes, which she doesn't know how she feels about, but she's been told that she makes some people into better human beings with her influence. She likes animals and nature and singing and reading and doesn't seek a lot of excitement or adventure in life.
Talents: Cheering people up, bonding with people, singing
Flaws: Auralee has trouble asserting herself and always gives in to others. She also would struggle greatly with the moral consequences of killing someone. She's often anxious and paranoid about breaking rules.
Fears: She's afraid of the people she loves getting injured and she's scared of dying because she doesn't know what comes next. She's also not fond of heights, though she wouldn't call it a real phobia.
Aspirations: Auralee wants to help people and live a happy life.
Hobbies/Habits: Auralee hums to herself a lot, and frequently covers her mouth/face with her hands when she's watching something intense or sad happen. She babysits some of the kids in the districts for money.

Another year goes by....

Annie Gallagher is now 19 years old and has gained some weight, as she may or may not be carrying a passenger. She is now ineligible for the reaping.
Baby Echo is hardly active but she is now two years old and her hair has grown in a light golden brown!
Evie Northwood is now 21 and has moved out of her dad's house, now living with one of her few remaining living friends.
Celia Holland is now 17 years old, and has not undergone any significant physical changes.
Peppermint Harrington is now 17, whether or not she was 16 or 17 before, because I forgot which she was and when I aged her.
Violet Fletcher is now 17, maybe 18, for the same reasons as Pepper.
