Food is good

Rosalee was done with her first session of training. She had gone through the ranged station once, and spent more time at the edible plant station. She was also planning to spend some time at the melee and medical station. The tribute wondered what everyone else was doing. It seemed like they weren't up to much, other than planning on how they were going to kill everyone else. Rose took her lunch and sat down at a table far from the careers. She didn't like their arrogance and cockiness.

She sat alone quietly eating her lunch, wondering if anyone would sit by her. Everyone else seemed to be talking and making alliances, which made Rose think. Was she supposed to join a table? Or simply make up her mind to fly this thing solo, which didn't seem very smart. The tribute knew that she wouldn't last long without someone helping her. Then again, who would be willing to do that? Rose sighed and glanced around the lunch area once more before looking at her own food, not very hungry.

Rosalee jumped a little at the voice of another person. She had already heard loud yells from people at the career table. It seemed that they were having a colorful conversation. The young tribute looked up at the girl from district 4 and gave her a weak smile. "No, it's not." Rose said with a smile, motioning for the girl to sit. She didn't remember the girl's name, but knew that she was from the fishing district. "I'm Rosalee." the girl said, as if her words had been rehearsed.

She liked the older girl's tone, it reminded her of her older sister, Isa, back in district 8. Rose gave the girl a smile and kept eating her food, her hunger returning slowly.

Rosalee felt her heart do a flip for a moment. Nefara wanted her as an ally? She noticed that the older girl seemed to know what she was doing, and Rose knew that Nefara would be a great ally. Especially since she was from District 4, which was as close as a career as she would ever get. Besides, Rose could tell that her new friend didn't want to be labeled as a career, which just made the young girl like the idea more. "Yes, I'm in." she said, her brown eyes shining softly.

Rose leaned her elbows on the table, eating her food with a small smile on her face. She liked this Nefara girl, simply because she reminded her of Isa. Right now, Rose could go for any help in the 'family' department. She wanted to remember where she came from. "Who else are we allies with?" Rose asked, saying 'we', instead 'me'. After all, it seemed that they were a team now.
