Madelyn stood in the ring, looking at her opponent. It was a girl about her age. And then at the bow, arrows, and shield she had selected to use. She wasn't going to waste any time getting to know the girl, so she notched the arrow. A smile out of the corner of her left lip before she let go of the arrow and let it fly. Madelyn wondered how the cat fight was going with Rosalie stuck in the middle. She felt her smile, and then her lips in all were smiling. She looked over to see if her arrow hit, hoping it did and the girl didn't block it.

Sage stood up, and confidently raised her posture. She looked at the girl she was about to battle with. She gripped a throwing knife in her hand and raised it. A knife in one hand, and a shield in her other. The girl pathetically shot an arrow, supposedly to Sage, but missed miserably. Sage picked up the lone arrow, and snapped it in half. She smirked towards the girl. "Oh well, everyone has to fail once in their lifetime, and it looks like you did now."

Sage hurled her throwing knife towards the girl. Once it came into contact with something, Sage sprinted over and retrieved the knife. She kept the smirk on her face. She sighed and looked at the girl. "You know, we might as well get to know each other while we're gonna be in here for a while," she hissed to the girl. Some part of Sage's mind knew that she would win, and fast, somewhat.

She gripped the knife in her hand steadily and shifted her position, now leaning on her right leg. She looked to her shield, and the skinny arm that was holding the shield was now gripping the handle tighter. Of course, she didn't want to loose the match, and she was probably getting off to a good start...

Madelyn smiled as her arrow missed. It was practice, and practice can be fun. Smiling, she noticed the girl also made an epic fail with her knife. "Touché" She said, before loading another arrow into the notch. Pulling back, she let go. Her smile dimmed down, refusing to talk about her personal life with someone that asks. Ask and you don't receive..

Sage didn't really care whether or not she hit the girl. She swings her shield in the way of the flying arrow coming her way. After blocking it, she picks up the arrow and snaps that one in half. She throws the pieces of the arrow onto the ground, next to the other one she broke. She grips her throwing knife and sprints up to the girl.

Trying to stab her opponent, Sage grunts a little.Now that she tested out the knife once, she hoped that the knife would now work with her hands properly. She pulls away the knife, then backs up swiftly. She growls at the girl, then tries to meet her eyes. Her opponent, who she thinks is named Madelyn, keeps breaking away the eye contact. Sage moves her head around and finally, after many tries, finds steady eye contact with Madelyn.

Sage can almost tell that Madelyn sees the firey wrath in her eyes. She sprints to her left, then immediately stops. "Anyways, my name is Sage," she arrogantly shouts to Madelyn. She smirks once again, as she polishes her knife blade with her shirt. Could this be harder than Sage thought? She didn't know quite yet... But soon, she will.

Maddie watched as her arrow flew directly where she wanted it to, but then the girl blocked it. She shrugged as the girl threw a blade, so she attempted a block. Was it going to be this routine for the whole tournament. If it was, she wouldn't mind backing out. She groaned before loading an arrow and shooting, showing no mercy.

Sage snickered to herself as Madelyn shot an arrow, but missed once again. She snapped it in half; hopefully this was pissing her opponent off somehow. She threw her knife at Madelyn, giving it all her might. Hopefully it made contact with her skin and gave her some damage.

Sage ran up to Madelyn, pulled the knife away, then tried to accomplish a back handspring out of the way of her opponent. Once the girl landed on her feet steadily, she knew that she got out of the way alright. This time, she stayed put in a six-foot range approximately away from Madelyn. Ranged weaponry acts like a bitch if you have to aim up close, but thankfully, knives could be used as range and melee.

Maddie wasn't the least bit annoyed that she kept missing. It was fine to her as long as she tried her best. She hoped that something would turn up and she made a good hit like she did in the Horde game thing with Astrid. She was quiet, and so was Sage. It was okay to her, and she didn't really mind. She dodged the girl's attack and launched an arrow to the girl.
