| putting them in spoilers becuz yolo - David Switch, District 3 Male.:
David heard the monotone voice call his name into the training room that was empty, filled with unknown secrets about every other tribute he knew. It was kind of creepy, knowing that the other tributes have something special about them that could very well end his life. He sighed and walked his way into the Training Center for his private session, his breath matching his footsteps as they clopped the ground. He was oddly calm, like he was born or meant to do this. He walked in and waved a silent 'hello' to the Gamemakers, basically saying that he was ready to present his skills. The first special 'skill' would have to be the ranged weapons, he walked over there confidently and he was pretty sure quite a few thought he was going to do horrible. Yet again, this trick has probably been pulled before. Act weak, then get a greater score then a majority of people.
The male got to the station, and picked up a Spear. He felt the cool, metal bar of the weapon that could kill in an instant. David took a deep breath, and got in the correct stance that he remembered for throwing. He prayed to god that he wouldn't mess up, so he wouldn't make a fool of himself. The teenager throw the spear, he heard the thump. He looked, and indeed. It was in the exact bulls-eye, David grinned. He knew that it was somewhat good. The teenager threw a couple more knives, and spears. All hitting in deadly places, and one in the worst possible spot for anyone of his gender. It was about time to move onto his next station, it was pretty quick-paced, the session.
The male decided to go for Medical next, because he knew that it would be faster then it would take for self-defense along with maybe fire-making. David got to the station, and tried to stay calm. He had to stay confident, the gamemakers usually liked confidence. male took all the notes he had stored in his mind during the short amount of time he spent at the Medical station. He grabbed some plants that could heal wounds and put them out on the table, to make sure that they understood what he was doing he took a quick knife from the table and cut himself. The teenager took one of the plants meant to tend a scar, mushed it together, and placed it on the scar. He had to make sure they knew what they were doing because to be honest, he could look like he was trying to cook with one foot sometimes. David finished up with the medical stuff and walked over to Melee.
He got to his third station of five and grabbed the sword, he felt the cool blade in his hand as he got used to the feeling. David swung a couple times, chopping off some arms and legs and heads. It was kind of boring, so he went to get a baton. He always thought these were just for the peace-keepers to knock people out if they were drunk and trying to fight back. He smiled, memories always made him smile for some odd reason. They just, warmed his heart. He swung, and swung and by that time decided it was kind of useless for the station. He headed off to fire-making for a quick fire.
The teenager got to the fire station, and wanted to get it done with. He grabbed a pile of sticks, and made a fire from what he had remembered from school earlier in life. He thought this didn't mean much, and thought the gamemakers were probably bored. So, to prepare them for the arena he stripped off his clothes and walked out.
"David Switch, District 3. Remember the name," The boy hollered out as he stepped out of the training gym, he nodded towards the other tributes watching him and left the area.

  ---District 3---Male---18---Spencer woke up bright and early that morning and started the day off just like he had the 3 days before it. He showered in the fancy, elaborate showers, got dressed in the training clothes his stylist had picked out for him and grabbed a huge plate of food. This morning was slightly different though because his escort made sure to point out that unlike the other mornings him and his partner would be going down for their private sessions together, so he ate slowly and waited quietly for her to finish her prep. "Humm" filled the common area as his signature cheerful tune began to echo and reverberate throughout the room. Humming was his way of filling the silence the last few days and he found himself doing it more and more to give his mind something to do as he made his way through training. Spencer's brain was like a battlefield of thoughts, facts and instances fired rapidly in his mind and hardly ever let him have a moment of peace. But the humming let him do that, it fought off the negative thoughts that began to fill his mind since the Reapings and his name was picked to represent his district. His father told him he would win, that he was smarter than any of the other tributes that were picked; and Spencer knew that this was probably true before he stepped on the train and knew for sure when he got to the training gym the first day. He hadn't conversed with much of his competition but from what he could tell no one would be able to match his intellect.
Once Wren was finished Spencer took the long and very quiet ride down the elevator to the area where the private sessions were going to be taking place. The doors opened and revealed a dimly lit hallway filled with the same very quiet tributes he had come to recognize. If there was one word to describe the set of tributes these games it would be quiet. He quickly found a seat and sat down keeping his hands places on his knees and looked around. Everyone just kept there eyes down and seemed to stay in their own minds. Something he decided not to do until he got into the testing area. He wasn't going to think about what he was going to do until he saw what was in there. The hallway was deadly silent, the only thing you could hear was the sound of breathing and he could hear his own heart beating. He began to tap his hands on his knees, creating a beat that matched the tune he had been humming for the last few days. Bum dum dum. He kept doing it and added humming to it now, a song created and began to echo through the small hallway. The music reverberated the same way it had in the common area of the room on the District 3 floor. The beats bounced off the walls and filled it so everyone could hear, obviously entering the minds of the other 23 people in the hallways with him.
Spencer kept his eyes closed, not even paying attention to the others around them at all. He just let the music fill his mind as he waited for his turn. He wasn't sure how much time had even passed before he heard his name spoken in a mechanical tone over the loud speaker. It broke him out of his trance and in that moment he realized that everyone there was staring at him. His eyes darted awkwardly back and forth and gave a sort of embarrassed half smile as he went to stand up. He was quickly escorted to the doors that lead to the testing center and as the doors opened he was quickly pushed inside and he could hear as the metal doors closed behind him. He looked back for a second then proceeded to move to the center of the room cautiously. Spencer looked all around him as he could see what he assumed were the Gamemakers were seated around him, the fluorescent lights hit their faces and created an almost eerie shadow that cast down onto them. He swallowed as he looked up at them and prepared to speak. "Spencer Watts, District 3." He bowed quickly as was customary for him to show respect to his elders, something his father had made sure to instill in him from a very young age. He then took a moment to observe what was there for him to use for his session. Pretty much everything that had been in the training gym was there in that room: ropes, paints, plants, things to make fire like flint and wood, and of course weapons. As he saw each thing he quickly went through all the possibilities and soon settled on what he was going to do.
Spencer first grabbed some rope and a little bit of wire and remembered the scene of the trainer tying the simple knots. He went to work and soon created a net big enough for a small person and tied a longer piece of rope to the center that ran down and about 3 feet away from the whole net itself. He laid it on the ground and grabbed some of the paints and began to disguise it. Then he constructed the rest of the trap using the rest of the rope attached to the corners and leading up to a singular rope attached to pliable wood pole that he had wedge in between some rocks to keep it stable. Then using the wire he created the trigger system that stretched across the net and once hit would release the pressure holding the pole down and cause it to snap upwards. It was a little messy looking and was a much smaller scale than one that could be used to trap and actual person, but it would work for these purposes though he could think of so many ways that he could improve it, like if he had a tree for instance to act as the base of his trap. He then stepped back and grabbed some matches and a small log from the small fire making station that was there. He then stood right at the end of the piece of rope that he had set down earlier and threw the log right at the net by the trigger system. It quickly snapped up and with it was the small log. Spencer than took a match and dramatically lit it and threw it on the ground, letting it burn the rope, moving up it as he moved away from the whole scene. Soon enough the flame had ran up the rope and the net was engulfed in flames. It may have taken a few minutes, but it worked, though if he had oil or something else flammable it would have gone up a lot quicker.
Spencer stood in front of the net of flames and bowed once again, "Thank you very much." And like that he was gone, not even bothering to look back as he walked out the room and into the ornate glass elevator that now waited to take him back up to the District 3 floor in the tribute tower. He just thought about what he did, and wondered whether it was considered good enough for a tribute to do at all. Oh well, in the end it didn't matter the scores it mattered if you lived in the end. Besides, he knew the careers would probably score better than him...they always scored higher then the rest of the tributes. The doors closed in front of him and he began to hum his cheerful tune once more.
- Anders' Private Session:
  ---District 2---Male---18---Anders awoke that morning ready then ever, or at least as ready as he was ever going to be to do his private session. This was the time he was going to be able to show off what he could do for the Game Makers and make everyone in Panem know the name "Anders Yorke." He determined that he couldn't get lost in the sea of tributes as some tended to do every year, no he needed to stand ahead of the crowd. He needed to be the best and he needed to prove that he was the best. Better then anyone else in the arena, and better then even his district partner, Astrid, who had the mentoring of two previous victors even before she got reaped. He knew he had a lot to live up to, but he knew he could do it. Anders Yorke wouldn't be able to settle for anything less then the best.
Anders quickly readied himself that morning in his room; showering quickly, quickly dressing and eating a quick piece of toast. Everything he had done to get ready that morning was quick and a little rushed, but that must have been the nerves getting to him a little. The adrenaline already started rushing, even though it was only his private session and technically no one was directly putting his life in danger, doing terrible on this could very well put his life in danger or at the very least it would put his chance with sponsors in danger. The Capitol liked a tribute with a high score, meant the chances of them doing well were higher and the more people rooted for you. They also liked the idea of a love triangle or an interesting love story, but Anders didn't want to think about Rafe's suggestion right now. He didn't want it to throw him off so instead he tried to keep his mind focused on the task at hand and that was to go into that room and impress the pants off of the people who were now judging how capable he was going to be in the arena. Everything relied on that score and the rest would fall into place, at least that is what he believed.
Once Astrid was readied the duo was lead down by District 2's energetic escort whose name Anders kept constantly forgetting. Was it Slevin?...Or maybe Selena. It was something like that, something that started with an "S" that Anders could never seem to place even though he had been told it maybe 10 times since he got on that high speed train. The ride down the elevator was quick and soon enough the cold, dimmed hallways was what he was faced with as he sat on one of the cold benches right next to Astrid awaiting his turn. Anders was one of the first tributes to be seen, 3rd to be exact and immediately after the District 1 girl. And as the first few names were called he tapped his thumbs against his knees as he felt the adrenaline work its way through his body. Was he nervous? Of course he was. Was he going to show it? You'd bet your ass he wouldn't.
Each name seemed to be called and what followed felt like a millennium in Anders' mind. It was like time completely stopped and mocked him as he waited knowing that all he wanted to do was go in. Time teased him as he felt it harder and harder to control the anticipation. But he wore a more stoic face as he waited, not letting anyone know how anxious he felt. He needed for people to know he was calm and collected, even if it wasn't entirely true 100% of the time. But after the each name was called by that cold, mechanical voice it seemed like hope was reignited and then immediately time stopped again. At least he wasn't last, he was actually thankful for that right now.
"Anders Yorke."
His ear perked up almost like a cat hearing something off in the distance and his back straightened out. He wanted to jump up and run through those doors but instead he slowly stood up and looked over to his district partner Astrid. "Good luck in there. And remember to shoot straight. I think I've heard someone say that before and it seemed fitting." He said quickly and winked which seemed to become almost a signature for him now. He walked past the other 20 people that were sitting there and strolled very nonchalantly and even smirked at a few of the scared looking kids that seemed to be so nervous that they looked like they were going to lose their breakfast. Yea, he could do this. Or at least he was confident that he could. Now was time to prove his worth and he was going to make sure with everything in his power that he was worth every bit of their attention.
He strolled through the double doors to reveal the room that he had gotten used to eating in only a day earlier, but now instead of the tables full of food he saw everything from the training center crammed into one space. Dummies, weapon racks, rope ladders and obstacle course as well as things to make fire and ropes for traps. Everything a tribute would need to make an impression with whatever method they liked best. Of course Anders' eyes were drawn to the weapons rack as he saw not only a metal spear that looked as if it was just polished but a few knives varying in length and blade style. He turned to the center and looked up at the Game Makers who now looked down at him with all their attention on him. He was a career after all and so of course he would have their undivided attention. He smiled widely as he looked up at them. "Hello, hello. Anders Yorke from District 2 at your service." He then pivoted as he turned back towards the numerous dummies that littered the area.
Anders first grabbed about 5 dummies and arranged them around in a semi-circle. Once those were in place he turned and walked over to the fire making station and grabbed a few things of wood and kindling as well as a match. He set up the wood in the way that he always set it up as a kid when he was at home and Sammy would complain that it was cold in their tiny shack during those long winter months. He struck the match and set it down, letting the fire spread. It was slow at first but then the flames began to spread until the pile was up in flames. Anders caught himself looking right into the flames for a moment, mesmerized by the flames as they danced across the surface of the wood piled in front of him and it made him think back. Back to times with Sammy in his crappy 2 bedroom house in District 2 in the room he shared with his brother. Those were the days he was used to, the days where it was him and Sam against the world. Anders snapped himself out of it though, the Game Makers weren't going to want to watch him stare at fire all day after all.
The last thing he needed to do was grab his weapons, he couldn't show off much of his combat skills without a couple of those things. Anders walked to the rack and immediately grabbed the spear, gripping the metal shaft in his hand and pulled it up and off the bar that was holding it in place. It felt right to have it placed firmly in his grip like that and he twirled it a few times to not only show of a little but to also gauge the weight of the weapon a little bit. He also grabbed a smaller hunting knife and put that in the loop of the pants he was wearing, then finished it off by grabbing a simple one handed sword in his left hand. He walked back over to the flames and dropped the sword so that the blade was place right in the flames, heating it up as he started what he was doing.
Anders now faced the dummies that he had position at the very beginning of the session, closed his eyes, cracked his neck and took a deep breath, attempting to calm himself slightly as he felt that all eyes were now on him. He shot himself forward even before his eyelids opened with the spear in both his right and left hands. He swung the spear forwards and chopped off the arm of a dummy then turned it so that the butt of the weapon now connected to thhe e head of the now armless body and knocked it over. He repeated the slashing a few times as he made his way in between the human figures that stood there and leaving slashes across many of the dummies as well as a few missing limbs along the way. Â He then dropped the spear behind him and tightened his fists. He picked the nearest dummy and started punching. After a few quick jabs he brought his knee up and towards the gut of the "victim" in front of him. He finished it off with an uppercut and grabbed the shoulder area and threw it into another one of the dummies that still stood there and knocked them both over. He pivoted slightly until he was positioned to the side of the fourth dummy and grabbed the hunting knife from where he left it at his side. He slashed at it a few times as well as mixing a few elbow throws in there until he felt it was thoroughly beat up. Anders rolled backwards and without even missing a beat he threw the knife towards the figure that he had just spent time slashing away at. A loud thud was accompanied by the falling dummy that now had a knife planted firmly in it's head.
Anders had one dummy left to take care of and saw the flames to his right. The blade of the sword he had left there only a little bit earlier was now red as the flames had caused it to become as hot as coals. He shifted his weight and shot himself up, running until he reached the hilt of the sword. He grabbed onto the handle and even though it was a little warm to the touch, he didn't let it show on his face. He ran forwards to the lone figure and swung the sword high, decapitating it in one quick motion. Anders then kicked the headless body until it was down just like the rest of them. His heart pounded and his breathing was quickened as it seemed his body only now registered the activity that it just went through. He tossed the sword to the ground and looked up at the Game Makers who seemed to have blank faces and no reaction at all. "Thanks." He said just turned and walked out the doors. He didn't know what to expect now. You never really knew what was going to happen with these things.
Anders could only hope it was good enough.
