Skylar walked on to the sand very passionately. It was very hot out today and she wanted catch some rays before her mom told her come inside and help out around the house. She loved her mom, but sometimes she could be very pushy about stuff. Skylar felt like she lived at the beach. She loved how she could watch the tide roll in and out. She felt like nothing was as bad as it was when she was there. She could swim, sit on the beach, walk around and look for sea shells. The one thing she loved the most though was that she could watch the beautiful sun set. She loved how the sky would turn beautiful shades of blue, pink , purple, and yellow.

Skylar started to look around her in hopes of finding maybe a friend. She had one best friend who had been with her ever since they were little. She wondered if maybe she could also make new friends. By the looks of it though no one was in site. She then started to gaze out into the ocean.

Luna Kim

It's been so long since Luna has come to the beach. She walked along the shore with bare feet, remembering the last time she came. She had been building a sand castle with Flower, and that boy had come by... He had awkwardly stood there as she scrambled around the sand looking for Flower. Not the best first impression. Luna felt Flower squirm around in her shirt pocket and wore a small smile, lifting the little caterpillar out of its temporary home. "There you go, Flower," she whispered, placing the small creature on the sand. It crawled around in circles as she slowly lowered herself to the ground and crossed her pale legs. It's strange. It's been almost a full year since she's come back, and Flower looks almost exactly the same. Just a little plumper. Luna shook her head, clearing her mind of any mention of her perhaps-mutant caterpillar.Let's try to build another sand castle. She carefully began gathering sand into a lumpy pile.

Skylar noticed the girl. She wondered what she was doing over in the sand by her self. She wondered who she was talking to because it looked like no one was with her. Was she one of those people her mother told her to stay away from? Skylar could not remember. She then deiced to go over and talk to the unfamiliar girl playing in the sand.

"Hello" Skylar said nervously. " I'm skylar." Victoria waited to see if the girl would turn around to talk to her.

Luna heard a sound. She turned slowly and stiffened as a girl introduced herself. Shitshitshitshitshit. She quickly plucked her pet from the derpy start of her castle and scrambled to her feet, inserting the struggling caterpillar back into her shirt pocket. Nonononono. Not another person. Anything but that! The girl whimpered, scanning her surroundings for a quick way out as her fingers twitched. Salt water. Flower would die. Sand. The girl would get hurt by the sand that flew behind her. A small squeak escaped from Luna's mouth as she took a step back. It's turning out just like that meeting with the boy.

Skylar felt gruesomely awkward. "Um hello?" Skylar saw the girl fiddling with something frantically. She took just a peek over the girl's shoulder. "Aw how cute! What's its name?" She thought the little Caterpillar was extremely adorable. "I mean it's okay you don't have to tell me..." Skylar felt awkward again. She then turned to walk away. She did not want to seem pushy.

The girl noticed Flower! Luna let out a small sniff as her caterpillar squiggled around in her shirt's pocket. How embarassing! What must the girl think? She must be thinking about how childish it is for a teenage girl to be playing with bugs. Luna's pale cheeks flushed as she attempted to reply to the girl's question. She could at least try that much. Her lips and teeth carefully began to form the beginning of her caterpillar's name. "Fl-Flow..." The name caught in her throat. Her face turned a deeper shade of red as she stood there with her mouth hanging open. This is turning out worse than the situation with the boy. After a bit of frantic thinking, Luna quickly shut her mouth and planted her eyes on her feet. If you can't say anything, just stand there awkwardly. The girl might go away, right?

Skylar heard the girl say something. She turned around to face the girl. "Did you say something?" Skylar asked curiously. "You don't have to be shy around me. I was just looking for some one to talk to. It's gets pretty lonely around here just sitting alone. Well I'm sorry if i bothered you." Skylar began to walk away again. She felt bad for the shy girl. She was probably scared.

When Skylar got back to the spot where she was sitting (Right where the water meets the sand) She noticed that the tide looked like it was going out. Well it's roughly that time. Skylar thought to herself. She would have to head back home soon due to the sun going down.
