The slips in the giant clear ball seem to present many trouble for the children of District Twelve. The hand reaches into the thousands of male slips, and pulls out one name. Pausing to add suspence, he reads the name.

"Fujita Honda."

The hand then repeats the process for the females.

"Cairee Reesemarks."

Names were called, but not her's. She knew her name had a great chance of being chosen, for she put in 53 tessarae. She prepared as well as possible, but luckily she wasn't chosen this year. Another year of safety in 12. Amber observed the newest Tributes. They didn't look extraordinary. Amber could tell District 12 wasn't going to win yet.

Her jaw dropped and she stood with her eyes wide. Wha-What? All of her friends had died during the Games! She snatched the slip away and read it. Surely, here was her name. Cairee Reesemarks. "W-wow." She was speechless.

The Cairee girl looked shocked. Amber furrowed her eyebrows, and thought. Wasn't she one of the richer people? Amber frowned. The Fujita guy didn't look bad. She nodded, continuing to observe the future tributes.

Shaking her head, Cairee grinned and hid her face of grief behind her face of joy. Sure she lived in a giant pink mansion, but she belonged with the Capitol. Not a bunch of coal-mining men!

The peacekeepers came shooing the tributes onto the train, they were behind schedule and needed to get going. The train departed with the tributes whisking 12 away from them. (DOn't worry the capitol will open soon!)

The Reaping was ending. Amber gave a last look at 12's next Tributes, trying to say, Good luck. Then she walked away. 12 never won. Just more pointless deaths...

As Cairee borded the train, she could see the looks on the people's faces. "Nobody will every win. 12 Is a pointless number." Everybody's eyes seemed to be saying. But that wasn't true. She was going to win this game, no matter what.

Fujita got on the train, the look in people eyes was strange, to say the least. He saw the girl he was going with, she looked nice, it was a shame she was going to try and kill him. He sat down, and looked around. He was going to die anyway, why not now? Winning was out of the question, that's for sure. The train started moving, so he sat down.

"Hey, girl." He said. "Looks like were going to be seeing each other a lot, might as well get to know each other now." He said. He patted the spot next to him, signaling for her to sit.

Cairee stared at the boy... What was his name? Fruit Ya? Frou Ja? Fujita! She gave no reply, it'll just make it harder for her to kill him anways. She shouldn't be making friends with future enemies. Her lips zipped, she handed Fujita a buisness card, though she doesn't have a buisness anyways.
