Things seemed to be coming to a quick end for Anders as Frank managed to land a big blow near his bandaged up stomach. As Anders circled with him, he raised his arms suggestively "I guess you'll be going home in a box after all" he said. Anders seemed to refute that suggestion and charged, Frank quickly stuck his sword out in front of him to try and catch Anders and skewer him with it, but the boy kept going and ran them both off the cliffside. Frank tumbled down with Anders nearby until they hit the bottom. It had been a blur from the top to the bottom of the fall. Frank lay on the ground, too sore for the moment to get up.

| Frank and Anders fly off the cliff, but Baby Doll, at Anders' previous request, soars down over the edge and scoops him up, bringing him back to the top of the cliff. Thanatos, still under her spell, can't yet go get Frank, but eventually there comes a moment when Baby Doll is too distracted by carrying Anders to pay much attention to him, and he swoops down. She regains her composure just as he takes off into the air with Frank on his back, and stops him. Thanatos hangs uncomfortably in the air with Frank, but is probably jumping distance for a tall enough tribute, which Frank certainly is. However, his right leg is nearly crushed completely from the fall, and his arm seems to be dislocated, so there's a change he might not make it. He's in far better shape than Anders, though, who is hardly mobile at all.Trap damage goes to Frank. - Guest carried out 1 launched of one TRAP :

|  Astrid came into view of the two and they were both still breathing, as she could see. Astrid looked at the two of them, Frank was just hanging in the air and then Anders was back on the top of the cliff and he was hardly mobile, and Astrid couldn't believe the sight she was seeing. She knew he wasn't going to make it and she realized, what had happened, with the dragons flying and the timing of when she walked in. They went off the cliff together, she wasn't sure who did what but she was sure that Frank was badly damaged now and Anders was on the verge of death.
Running over, Astrid noticed him there and she came over and she had sunken down onto her knees as she knelt next to him. "Anders" She said softly as she looked down at him. They had gone through, twenty one tributes together, the whole games together, and the first time they really hung out was when they had been with Sophie and she ran off and then they stole a cake for his little brother Sammy. Astrid felt sad now, knowing Anders wasn't going back to Sammy. "I'm sorry." She said quietly as she looked down at him, "If I win, I'll do my best to help your brother." She said and gave him a small but sad smile. She then wiped a bit of blood off of his forehead.
"you've done really well, Anders, sadly only one of us can win and go home." She said and she felt a bit of emotions and sadness overwhelm her a bit. This was partly her fault for leaving him here, but she wasn't going to say that out loud, no, there was no point in being like that. She took his hand in hers, he really was like the brother she never had at this point, it was crazy to think of it in such a way, but through out the whole games, he protected her when she couldn't do it herself, she'd be hurt pretty badly at this point if he hadn't had helped her. Astrid tried her best to keep any of her emotions in, and not cry. Only a few tears managed to escape her eyes and after that she'd allowed no more. "I'll win for our district, I promise." she said and she squeezed his hand lightly.  | |

|   ---District 2---Male---18---Nothing could prepare Anders for the earth shaking thud that would accompany his cliff jump, and even with the figure underneath him to help break his fall it didn't matter. The thud echoed in his ear drums and the vibrations could be felt up and down his legs and arms as they hit against a section of cliff that seemed to jut out from the section of cliff side that this meadow lead off of. The shock of the fall moved through his body but it didn't seem like he was down there long before he could feel the scaly figure of Baby Doll come up besides him just as he had asked her to do. He grabbed on to the harness as best he could though he felt not only his grip not able to hold as well but also the weight of his body start to fall underneath his legs. The act of standing alone was hard as he felt the strength begin to drain from his body, and moving seemed to send a shock wave of pain up and down his spine causing him to wince with even every breath he took.
Luckily enough for him his dragon companion did most of the work as she swooped up and brought him back up to the top of the cliff where only a few moments earlier he was safely standing on top of. Baby Doll set him down as best she could and looking directly across from him now was Frank and his bony dragon still floating awkwardly on air as if something was stopping Frank from being dropped back up on that cliff top as well. Was it Baby Doll? Could she tell he was dead anyways and was now trying to in some way protect him from anymore attacks in her own way? Maybe, but he wasn't sure. Using the last ounce of strength he had though he gripped his trusty spear and sent it flying through the air towards Frank. One last attack and a hope to hit. It would take everything out of him to do this one last thing but it was worth it.
This last action though, this last rotation of his torso seemed to have knocked something loose inside him as the coughing began and the blood dripped from his mouth and he wiped it from his face, smearing it against his cheek and hand. Internal bleeding, great another thing he needed to add to the list of what was wrong. His legs began to waiver and he could feel as his weight collapsed underneath him and onto his knees. He was slipping fast now and he knew his timer was reaching 0. He looked up knowing full well all of Panem and the Capitol was watching him right now, including his brother who just watched his older brother throw himself off of a cliff. He looked up knowing the cameras would be somewhere up there. "Sammy? Turn off your screen." Anders knew that what Sammy's reaction would be, he knew that kid all to well. He would be refusing to do it. Refusing to turn it off and trying to watch. But Anders couldn't let him see this. He couldn't let Sam watch him die. "Do it right now....don't you dare not listen to me on this." He let himself fall to the ground just as Astrid came and joined him again. Just in time to see him die, weak like an animal.
He turned over so he was on his back just as Astrid knelt down next to him to give him a few comforting words on his death bed. Well...death meadow to be more exact. He looked up to her with one last request, one last thing he wanted her to do for him. "You have to win. Get Sammy his extra rations....Don't let my death be in vain." His coughs started up again as the blood dripped from the corners of his mouth and falling against the green blades of grass that created a pillow for his head. "Sammy can't starve. I was all he had left." His eyelids got heavy as his body yelled at him to stop fighting it.
Anders kept fighting to keep himself conscious as Astrid grabbed his hand and wiped some of the blood from his forehead. It was comforting having someone next to him as his life force drained away from him. He couldn't have his brother there like he wished he could but Astrid would be a close second in his opinion. After everything they had been through together they had grown to be almost like family and it was then he realized why he had done it. Family had always been his Achilles heel and he was known to put them above himself any day. Astrid was like the sister he never had had nor necessarily wanted but that was how it was now. Now he knew why he barreled down that cliff without hesitation, because he would have done the same thing for Sammy and now Astrid. "Just...win." He said weakly up to her as his eyes began to force themselves shut. "Screw consciousness....that's what I say." His words were weak and quiet as his breathing slowed to next to nothing and his body told him it was enough and his time was up. His eyes closed and his labored breathing became more raspy and short as it became harder and harder to breathe. After a minute of squeezing Astrid's hand the pressure loosened and it fell to the ground. A second later the canon sounded to signify there was nothing more that could be done for him as his heart stopped and signified his time in the games were done. He wasn't going back home to District 2, he was never going to see Sammy again but at least he could hope that Astrid would win and Sammy would be a little bit better even if he lost his older brother in the process.

you were sarcastic, confident and a jerk about 80% of the time but in the end your loyalty was the end of you. Franders 4 eva. And Astrid...give em hell!

Frank felt himself get picked up by Thanatos and flown back up, but again Thanatos stopped. It had to be Anders' dragon influencing him. "Damnit" he muttered. judging the distance, Frank knew he could make it to the cliff, it'd just be a painful landing. Anders threw his spear, and as it came close Frank managed to lean out of the way and let it pass in front of him and down into the arena below. As Astrid arrived, Frank made his move and leaped to the cliff, landing in a heap and rolling. His leg was useless and one arm was out of joint, he was lucky it wasn't worse after a fall like that. Slowly, a painfully, Frank lifted his sword and dug it into the ground, pulling himself to his knees with it and balancing himself, he coughed up blood at that point, and that let him know just how badly off he was here.
Slowly pulling himself off the ground with his remaining arm and sword, he balanced himself heavily on his remaining leg that could support him. His shield was on the dislocated arm, but he could get it into blocking position if needed, though using his sword would be much easier. He faced Astrid with a dirt and blood covered face. "So, just you and me now" he said, "I'll try to give you something to remember me by" he said coldly. He didn't see himself winning this fight in his condition, but he was going to do his best to leave a mark on her that she'd never get rid of. He managed to get into a jog towards her, it was all he could manage now, when he got close he raised his shield to distract her and stabbed his sword at her thigh, he wanted to cut deep and break everything he could in there. If he couldn't walk properly anymore, why should she?

| Frank's bad leg collapses under him, making him miss the shot at Astrid. Baby Doll dips her head to Anders out of respect, then lets out a mournful cry that echoes across the air, almost louder than his cannon. This breaks her spell on Thanatos and she flies off. Thanatos, embarrassed, lands on the mountain and looks sheepishly at the ground. |

| Astrid watched as Anders body became lifeless, it was still saddening to see him go, but like she said only one person was coming out alive here. Astrid was going to make sure that was her, Frank was close to being in his own deathbed. Home was very close at this point she could feel it. "Yep, just you and I, soon it'll just be me." Astrid said smirking and then she heard mentioning something to remember him by, and his attack failed that time. Astrid stood up now, right now she was too close range to use her bow effectively, so she pulled out her sword for now. "Something to remember you by? Well how sweet of you, to be so considerate, your attempt has really amused me though." She said and then she went for a stab, to bring him closer to his death.- Sorella carried out 1 launched of one Attack(2) :

Frank hit the ground and knew an attack would be coming, he quickly rolled to the side and got up to one knee to see Astrid had missed him entirely, "Yea, your attempt was so much better huh?" he said, shaking his head. Forcing himself back to his feet, he lunged forwards with his strong leg to keep upright and stabbed at her upper thigh once again, even if she knew it was coming, he was determined to send her home with a heavy limp and a screwed up leg. The more nerves he broke in there, the better.

| Astrid rolled her eyes, and didn't think much of missing that one attack, she's had rough times at hitting before in these games, and she just needed to focus, she could think about home as she took the train back home, and during her victor tour. She took a deep breath in, "Hopefully when you remember these games, you'll already be six feet under." She said glaring at him, and he had missed her yet again. Frank felt Astrid's sword slash down his chest and he turned away in pain for a moment shouting out, expressing the pain without choice. He pushed into her with his shield, slamming her chest with it, and then stabbed downwards at her thigh towards the knee, maybe a new angle would be easier to get her from, and he could stab in deep enough to hit her knee and mess that up too. "I don't exactly expect to go home alive at this point, what with Anders doing all your work for you" he said, taunting her.

Frank barely managed to avoid her attack as she spoke. He smirked when she said about go big or go home, "What do you think I'm going right now?" he asked, as he swung out his elbow at Astrid's nose and then stabbed straight down at her leg once again at the same spot as last time. He was beating a dead horse, but this was in his head and he was going to do it or take it to his deathbed. It all depended on if Astrid could kill him before he could cripple her leg.

| Astrid didn't have much of a response this time. She had ducked her head out of the way from the hit that was coming towards her nose and then Frank had missed her leg yet again, he was trying to cripple her like him. She rolled her eyes, he was probably just jealous that she was pretty much fine and he was very crippled. Astrid's attack came too quick to move as she slashed at his torso. Frank stumbled backwards from the blow and looked down at the gash. He wasn't dead though, he didn't feel like he was going to die very soon, he knew he was going to die, but he didn't feel death coming yet. He looked back up at her, angry. "If you're planning on killing me get it over with, I'm tired of waiting on you" he charged forwards, slashing at Astrid's knees with his sword and as his leg gave way he tucked and rolled past her, getting back to his feet slowly behind her. He wasn't having much luck right now.

| Astrid's attack just diverts the pain from Frank's other wound, not affecting him. He's too far gone to really notice, although the blood is making his hands sticky and his weapon is getting harder to hold onto. Meanwhile, Thanatos and Caelus slowly fall in love. |
