Luke Michaels

District two.

Family:
Father; Ajax Michaels: Ajax was a very lovely man until his wife committed suicide. Ajax met his wife, Lucy in his weapons store. Lucy walked into it expecting one thing but was confused so she left. The next day she did the same and it just kept repeating until Ajax said something to her. Not realizing her mistake, before, Lucy smiled and replied, "Thank you, sir." Ajax told her his name and so a beautiful friendship began. Ajax learned something about his Lucy: that she wasn't stable. She was insane and had lost her sanity three years before. Ajax and Lucy were friends for a few months before Ajax asked her to date him. They dated for two years and then were married. They had two children. Luke and Axel.
Brother; Axel Michaels: Axel was not raised as a fighter. He was eight years older than Luke and was reaped into the games at the age of thirteen. Luke was five at the time and had no idea what was going on. Axel was killed in the bloodbath on the first day. After Axel and Lucy died, Ajax decided to raise his son as a Career.
Mother; Lucy Dian Michaels: Lucy Dian, then, was a strapping young girl who had escaped the horrors of being reaped into the games. Her sister was not so lucky. When Lucy was seventeen, her younger sister was reaped into the games. Lucy wanted to volunteer, but her mother would not allow it. Her mother was cold and told Lucy that her sister needed to do this to bring honor to the family. Lucy's sister, Nava, was not killed on the first day, but rather wandered around in the woods for some time. After Nava had decided to sleep, she was attacked by the male tribute from district nine with a blunt rock. She was beaten until she died, as a bloody, bruised corpse. And so Lucy lost her sanity after watching it.
After her son Axel died in the Bloodbath on the first day, Lucy's mental health slowly went downhill and the night that Ajax told Lucy about raising Luke as a Career, she left and killed herself. She kissed her Luke goodbye and left the house. Lucy wandered for a few hours until she found some rope. She tied a noose and hung herself from a tree. When Ajax found her hanged from a tree, he was hardened for life. He showed no love, affection, or mercy for his six-year old son. He would not lose anyone else.

Brief History:
Luke was born and raised in district two.

Physical Appearance:
Luke stands at six foot. Exactly. He is muscled from all the fighting he's done over the years. His arms and legs are long and muscled from the lifting that he does. Though, Luke doesn't believe in actual excercise, he believes that pure fighting will keep you in shape. His chest is broad and a bit over muscled. He doesn't seem to think so, though. His chest is covered in tattoos and various symbols. He also has one long, dark, black tribal tattoo going up his neck curving around the back of his head.
Luke has a very chiseled face with a hard jawline. His chin is squared off and hard looking. All of his features are very masculine. There's absolutely nothing feminine about his face. His eyebrows are naturally on the thinner side. They don't arch and he doesn't look like little elf. But, rather like an actor. He's been told that he could go into modeling. Well, he is the child of beautiful people.
Regarding Luke's facial hair, he doesn't like to have a beard. He attempts to appear clean-shaven on most occasions. But he occasionally allow his facial hair grow a little bit for a more comforting look.
Luke has very soft hazel, brown eyes. They're more brown than hazel, really. On occasions, in different lighting situations they could look like a deep brown or a light hazel-gold. But most of the time, they're a very light brown, hazel. His eyes are framed by thin brown eyelashes. His eyelashes are nothing special. Really.
Luke either has really long, curly blond hair or short, mussed with hair. It's naturally blonde in color. But, when it's longer it's much more lighter. Although now it's a darker color. Sometimes if it falls below his ears, he'll go and pick up a knife and just hack it all off himself. He sometimes has no patience for his hair. His hair is very soft, and touchable.
Luke wears simple clothing. Usually v-neck t-shirts and some he can move around in comfortably. A simple pair of worn jeans and a pair of shoes. Luke isn't very picky about his shoes, ironically enough. You'd think he'd be picky about his clothes and shoes but he's really not.

Personality:
Luke is highly arrogant. Being the fighter he is, he's developed a self-confidence that radiates from him. It's also what makes him attractive. He's sarcastic, rude, and blunt. A little judgmental, too. Luke doesn't always mean to be rude, he just is. It's the way he speaks. He can't help being rude. It's just the way he deals. Being extremely sarcastic and witty comes from his intelligence. Although Luke never went to school, he's very smart. He spent his childhood with his nose buried in books. Poetry and fantasy were his favorites.
Luke is rebellious. He rebels against what to do and doesn't follow rules. "Rules are meant to broken," is what he often says. He doesn't give adults respect if they don't deserve it. If an adult is a jerk to him, he'll be a jerk back. He doesn't give respect. You have to earn it in his eyes.
Luke doesn't accept charity. He's much too proud to take anything from anyone else out of pity. Even if it's not out of pity, he doesn't accept it. He's a typical man, always having to do things himself. He oftens says, "If you can't do it right, let me do it. At least it'll get done my way."
But above all this, Luke isn't distance, cold or aloof. He's rather affectionate. It comes from his mother's side of the family, his affection. Luke likes children and small animals and does not eat small woodland creatures for breakfast with a side of bunnies. He actually enjoys the company of people. As long as they don't piss him off.
Most of the time Luke keeps his feelings and himself guarded. He doesn't like to let his guard down. He isn't afraid of getting, he's afraid of loving. "To love is to destroy," is what one of his favorite quotes is. He does not like to open up to people, which is why therapy won't work on him. Though, he doesn't believe in love, he has dated many girls in his time, leaving broken hearts along the way. He feels no regret, though.
Though he's not exactly jolly cheerful or straight up grumpy, he's more neutral. Unlike most humans on this Earth, Luke's a morning person. Which is how he irritates his friends. They'll wake up to find him making coffee and whistling in the kitchen. However, as the day goes on he gets more and more grumpy.
While Luke is a jar-headed Marine who'll do what he's told without question, and he's not a mindless airhead like his mother was, he's actually very intelligent and cunning. His father's given him lessons in psychology and he studies the workings of human minds through his father's collection of books. Luke spends time crafting and devising plans on killing people and torturing them.
Though, through the way I've described his personality, it may seem that Luke's sadistic and takes pleasure in killing other kids. He's not. He just wants to survive and make his father happy. And if killing and torturing other kids for information is the answer, then he'll do it. Luke's very set on making his father happy, since he believes his father will never be proud of him.
Like most tribues, Luke is determined and devoted to what he does best. Killing. He would never step down from a challenge. Ever. This is why Luke's always been trained to be a Career. His father wants him to become a victor and have fame and glory.
His personality would suggest that Luke is totally unenthusiastic about everything. But that's rather opposite. Luke is very enthusiastic about certain things. And sarcastic at the same time, but nevertheless, he's enthusiastic. Like surviving, for one.
One thing that stands out from Luke above all is his honesty. Luke doesn't lie. At all. The only time he'd ever lie would be in a life or death situation. This is what makes him seem so blunt. Though, he is very up front about it. He doesn't like to beat around the bush, or spout off any preambles. He likes to get right to the point about things. He can't stand it when people beat around the bush. He's impatient, too. Very impatient.

Flaw:
While Luke has many flaws, one stands out above all others. His pride. He is too proud. It will one day get him killed. He can't back down from a challenge. It would break him. And he will never be broken.

Pets:
No pets.

Rich or Poor?:
In the middle. While he didn't live in luxury, his father definitely had enough to make sure he was fed. Luke's often said that it got easier after his mother and brother died.

Weapon of Choice:
Luke prefers throwing knives.

Talents:
-Killing.
-Fighting.
-Throwing things such as knives, rocks, etc.
-He's got excellent aim.

Preferred Angles:
Strong. Brutal. Dangerous. Sexy and dangerous.

Though, he reminds me a lot of Cato, I was inspired by Jace Lightwood from the Mortal Instruments Series.
