River was practicing with a sword down by the beach while she had some free time. The sword clattered to the ground as she spaced out, and River sighed. She wanted to get better with a sword, but it was getting boring after hours and hours. Suddenly, she hard someone approaching. River saw who it was and smiled, happy that they were there. She knew they could probably think of something more interesting to do, and River was eager to learn what. "Hi!" she chirped, brandishing the sword again, flinging it to the ground. "What's up?"

Faye had walked along the sandy beaches knowing full well that her younger sister River would be there waiting for her. She held her shoes in her hands, now opting to go barefoot on warm ground, plus that meant less sand she would need to try and get out of her shoes at the end of the day. She could feel herself sinking with each step she took and the small grains part as she put her foot down and each try to fall back into its spot as she brought it up. Faye loved the way the grains of sand felt against her bare feet and the way they tried to envelop them in a sea of thousands of tiny particles. She had walked for a few moments in silence before she saw River playing with a stick. She picked up her pace, now almost jogging over to her sister.

River turned and threw the stick down, greeting her happily. Faye bent over and picked up the stuck and looked at it for a few moments, tilting her head as she did. "What were you doing with this? Pretend sword fighting again?" Faye let out a playful giggle as she poked fun of her sister. "If you want to learn how to actually use a sword I'm sure you could ask dad, or secretly learn. Just don't let mom find out." She put out her finger and playfully flicked River's nose, then threw the stick down onto the sand where she got it from. She plopped herself down into the sand and could feel her hands sink into the grains just like her feet did as she walked over there. She looked out at the blue water for a moment then looked over to River. "So...what do you want to do today? We could always go for a swim or even steal a boat and go for a joy ride." Faye smiled at her last remark, because it was most a joke.

River giggled, picking up another stick and darting around Faye, poking her gently. She tripped in the sand and tumbled head first into the ground, still laughing. River picked herself up and blinked at her sister, sitting on her knees. "Steal a boat?" she repeated with a grin. "That sounds fun! How do we steal a boat?" She got to her feet immediately and gazed wistfully at the boat on the harbor. "Which boat? I mean, we'd have to pick one with nobody on it, but which one? There are just so many..." she trailed off, her line of vision trailing down the extensive set of boats that was commonplace in District 4. River staggered down some rocks in order to get a closer look. She glanced back at Faye. "You were serious, weren't you? Because, I mean, I'm being serious. It's not like there's anything better to do!" River longed for a bit of adventure. Playing with sticks only went to far.

Faye watched as River looked around for a boat that they could steal. She chuckled for a moment because she was partially joking, but River's reaction to her suggestion was priceless. She stood up and walked over to her sister, climbed onto a rock and stood next to her, looking out at the boats out on the water. "Well...I was kinda joking, but now that we talk about it more it kinda seems like a good idea doesn't it?" She thought about it for a moment before continuing to speak. "I'm not sure which boat we would take though, most of them you need more than two people to sail with. Maybe we could steal a rowboat, we could definitely sail with two people in one of those." Faye jumped off of the rock she was standing on and landed with both feet firmly planted on the ground. Faye turned back towards the beach. "If we really want to see what kinds of boats are around we will have to go to the docks, its doubtful that there will be one here on the beach. Or at least one that isn't occupied. What do you say?" Faye grabbed the shoes she had placed down on the sandy beach and hit them together knocking loose all of the loose grains that had found its way inside of them.
