Dining Room

After getting off the train, we were brought here to the Training Center. This was District 11's floor. I walked into the Living Room/Dining Room, and sat down, wondering what was going to be on TV. I hadn't seen Ezra, Fritz, or our Escort, who's name had slipped my mind, since we got off the train. I found a few Capitol channels that seemed interesting, but what seemed immensely interesting was the channel with past games on it. I watched them intently and looked at the winner's and Careers tactics.

I staggered into the room. The rush of color and shiny stuff was incredible. If I won I vowed to show it to beanie. I was so overcome with sorrow, over missing my sisters, that I almost bumped into Marnie. "I'm sorry." I said ruefully. "At least i'm on time..." I joked.

I smiled at Fritz, and pulled him onto the couch next to me. If we were going to be stuck in an arena, any type of land, then we were going to need to be close. Close enough that they won't attack us. Close enough that we could be allies.

I shook my head clear of the thought and yawned sleepily and leaned on his shoulder. It could merely be an accident, couldn't it?

I blinked quickly, remembering how when Lyra was little she would do that same thing. I missed my family terribly.
I had to wonder though. If I got close to Marnie....

.....Could I bear to kill her?

I looked up at Fritz and blinked a couple times. "I'm sorry," I said, looking back to the past games. I don't think he'd want someone that may kill him later laying on him. "I just feel lonely sometimes."

I nodded, feeling sorry for her. "Yeah, I know how you feel." I looked at the screen. "Getting a feel for our future?" I asked jokingly. "What game is this? I don't recognise this scene." In truth, I hadn't seen many of the games. Taking care of your orphaned siblings is not somthing that is a part time job.

I jumped, closing my eyes as one tributes head was viciously sliced off. I hoped nothing like that happened to anyone in our games. I wrapped my arms around Fritz, scared to death. Did they have to kill them liked that. "13, I think," I said. It was a dense forest. No greenery. Nothing really. I felt to dependent on him. Why was I feeling this way? Maybe the fact that I was in the games had just settled in on me.

I nodded. "I see." I sighed, knowing I had to do this. "Hey Marnie, I really like you so...Could we...Be allies?" I asked softly.

"You like me?" I said, arms still wrapped around him. He wanted to be my ally. "Yeah Fritz, I'll be your ally."

I grinned "oh thanks Marnie." I said happily. "You know, I think our district is going to have a victor."I praised.

Impulse took over, and I went with it. I kissed Fritz on the cheek and leaned on him. "And that victor will be you."
