District 4 Reapings!

The District 4 escort steps up on stage and smiles with blindingly white teeth. She starts speaking in a high pitched voice, "Welcome everyone to the Reapings! Today one young man and woman will be chosen to participate in the 28th Annual Hunger Games!" She steps up to the big bowls containing the names of every child in the district, from 12 to 18. Her hands hover above the bowls for a second, as if deciding something. "Now then, Ladies first!" she says, and reaches into the bowl filled with girls names...

and she easily stepped up in happiness. She could join him now or avenge his death fully.

Skye. Skye Walker. Skye freaking Walker. His eyes grew wide and he cursed under his breath as he was no career like Hunter was, he was hoping to avoid the games all together. He just had a few more years before his name was out of the votes, now he don't even know if he'll make it till next year. Skye looked to the other side where the girls were held, immediately seeing Amaya's face, filled with grief. He manage to get his legs moving up to stage and kept his eyes on his sister, she better not be doing anything stupid. "Any volunteers?" The escort called out and Skye glared at Amaya, shaking his head once and Amaya knew she couldn't do anything.

Silence, and that signalled that there were no volunteers and soon, Skye was dragged into the Justice Building to see his family and friends for the last time. He kicked the dust on the floor irritatedly while waiting. Within minutes his family rushed in with the people outside warning, "five minutes." He gave a big, reassuring hug to all of them and his mother cried like the last time when the victor came back home, but for a different reason this time. Kaira refused to let go of Skye, knowing that he might not ever come back but she still tried to make her brother feel better, "You'll come back! Hunter will help you guys! You'll come back.. right?" Skye bent down and ruffled Kaira's hair for the last time, "yeah, you better wait for me and not go find another brother!" Kaira giggled and let go of Skye, releasing him to give his twin another tight hug.

Amaya already felt as if half of her has been ripped away, like a kid having her favourite toy being taken away and dumped in the trash. Skye started to talk, still in embrace,"You do whatever you can to keep the bakery running. And remember to take care of Kaira and mum, okay? I'm coming back home, I will. And you know I love you, so no matter what happens to me, I know I can count on you." He kissed the top of her head which starts to make her cry and she replied, "yeah, love you too. Good luck, take care and would you do me a favor?"

"Hey, time's up, time to go." A person at the door came in pulling them away from him. Amaya quickly grabbed his hand, "Stay alive.." Skye gripped the hand and gave his most genuine grin that rarely anyone would see and before he could do anything else, they were gone, and he was all alone once again.

Megan waited for the people who would visit her quietly. First came their family. As their family half grieveed half celebrated, Megan told them she would be safe. Safe. Just what he had promised her. Meganexited reality, murmuring thank yous, half in reality. She left the place for the train immidiately after her last visitor left, with her token- a hair ribbon woven from a net.
