Rhea took the opportunity to try and learn how to use some weapons. She had already been offered some lessons from Jake, the tribute from District 7 and she had a little bit of practice with a spear that she was using yesterday. She decided to try out some hand to hand combat. She walked up to the training dummy and tightened her hand into a fist and threw it as hard as she could. The shock was instant as it ran up her arm and into her shoulder. Tears started to well up in her eyes. "Oww, that hurt. How does Roe punch trees back home/" She rubbed her knuckles trying to soothe the pain. Ok so this was harder than it looked, she thought twice before punching the dummy once more.
She decided to pick up a spear instead and even though she used one yesterday she needed to get used to the weight again. She swung it a few times and soon was used to the weight. But she needed to keep up an act, so she played it off that is was too heavy for her to use. "Mind giving me a hand?"

Josh was done with survival and was walking over to what he was least talented in. Hw saw a girl struggling. "Is there anything I can do to help" josh liked making friends. It was good for the games.

Rhea smiled at the boy who walked up to her. Gotta use some charm. She pulled the spear up, still making it look like she was struggling some. "Oh well, I'm just trying to get used to the weight of this spear is all. I also haven't really learned to much from the trainer so I'm not sure what I'm doing." She laughed a little, "I'm sure I look pretty dumb right now. This is not my strongest skill obviously. I just figured I would try something new."

One of the trainers walks by the tributes, "Would either of you want to spar?" he asks.

"That sounds like good training, said josh. What should we start with?"

The trainer smiles and shrugs, "your choice, hand-to-hand, weapons, pick and go"

Josh prepared his sword and attacked the padded trainer.

The trainer drops to the ground and pushes himself back, he rolls back to a knife rack and takes one of the long bladed ones. Standing, he holds it in a reverse grip and awaits the next attack.

Rhea pondered joining in. I guess I should if I want to actually learn how to use a weapon for real. She lifted the spear up, used to its weight and grabbed it with both hands. She ran towards the padded trainer, hoping it would hit.

The trainer pushes the spear to the side with his knife and shoves the girl back, he turns to the boy, waiting for him to strike.

Josh decides to fake an underhand blow. He then strikes the trainers wide open chest.

The boy goes low so the trainer shuffles his feet back, but then the tribute strikes another blow to his chest. the trainer lunches back, and gives the tribute a grin to indicate it was a good move. He then lunges forward and kicks at the boy's legs, aiming to put him off balance.

Rhea was surprised when she hit the floor and as the breath left her body. She got back up with the help of her spear and looked at the trainer more seriously this time. She swung the butt of the spear like a bat, aiming for his legs in a sweeping motion.

The trainer sees the spear being swung and dives away from the boy, leaving him prone to the spear taking out his legs instead of the trainer's. He then looks at the girl tribute, circling her.

Rhea swung the spear up and held it to try and block an incoming attack. She wasn't sure if one was coming, but she figured it would be better to do that than be to late in stopping an attack.

Josh was knocked to the ground by the girls spear butt. He got up and grabbed a bp staff twirling it as he went for the trainers legs.

The girl raises her spear to block an attack, that wasn't coming. The trainer takes advantage of this and jumps forward, he plants his feet and then kicks the girl in the stomach. Following up by jumping over the boy's attack and replying with a roundhouse kick at his shoulder.

Rhea dropped to her knees, totally losing her hold on the spear. Josh was lying there next to her. She looked to him "Lets work together, right now we are just hitting each other and not him. If he coordinate our attacks we might be able to hold him off. Cover my back and I got yours" She grabbed the spear again and stood up. Hoping that Josh would join her, she readied her spear.

Josh looked over to rhea handing her a sword. He grabbed one too. He hinted that they should work as a team. He attacked low giving rhea the opportunity for a good hit.

the trainer jumps back from the sword and then swipes at the boy tribute with his knife.

While the trainer was busy going after Josh with his knife, Rhea went to the side and hit him with the sword in his side. She stood in front of Josh, protecting him as he got up.

The trainer was knocked down on his side. He quickly got up and surveyed the new situation. They were working as a team now. He grinned, and got to work. Grabbing a wooden spear, he charges forwards and bowls over the girl, swinging his spear at the boy's chest. He then tucked and rolled on to his stomach and looked back at the two tributes from where he laid.

Rhea stood up, grabbed the sword and stood up. She was getting tired and could feel her breathing getting heavier. She didn't know how much longer she would be able to keep it up. "Are you ok?" She looked to Josh. She motioned her head up, trying to tell him to attack his upper body while she went for his legs. She swung low towards his ankles, hoping the plan would actually work out.

The boy begins to get up, but the Trainer is on him right away, he punches him in the gut and then Judo Chops his throat, cutting off breathing and knocking him out, his breathing returned, but he would be in the dark for a little bit. The Trainer turns and readies his knife. Circling with the girl tribute.

Rhea watched as Josh fell to the floor. It looked like he was knocked out. "Hey...Josh, are you awake?" He didn't respond, I guess I'm on my own now. She held up the sword continuing to the circle the sparring area. She readied herself for a counterattack.
