Just Another Day Out (OPEN)

Michael, surrounded by a group of his friends, made their way through the Shopping Centre of the district. They were just returning from the Training Center and decided it was time for a snack to get rid of the post-training hunger. The chattering and carrying on of the group of about five made making it towards their favorite pastry shop a breeze.

As they emerged from the shop again, Michael glanced around the general area of the shop. Returning his gaze to the group ahead, he saw a friend of his sitting on a bench alone. "Hey guys, y'all go on ahead. I think I'm going to do a little shopping while I'm here," he said to the group. They either didn't hear him, or chose not to answer, as they kept walking on. Strolling up to the bench, Michael rubbed his hand on Kera's head. Attempting not to be too rough, but he knew it would be. "Sitting all alone in the Shopping Centre, watching nothing in particular? Now why would little Kera be doing that?" he said, dropping himself on the bench beside her.

Michael listened as Kera explained what she was doing in the Shopping Centre. He gave a slight chuckle and flashed a cocky grin. "I didn't ask what you were doing here. I asked why you were staring into space. That's close enough it seems," he said with a slight laughter in his tone. Kera had a brown bag, not to different from his, that she held up. Explaining that some of her 'favorite treats' where in the bag. Holding up his own bag, "Seems like we came for the same thing. A handful of pastries." Opening his bag, he breaks off a small piece of one of the pastries within and tosses it into his mouth. He sits and chews for a minute, and once his mouth is empty, he returns to speaking. "Well, a group of us was training up at the Center and decided to come down here to get rid of the munchies that training caused." Michael pushed Kera's arm gently, hopefully just enough to make her lean over a bit. "Besides, best pastries in the district come from right there," he points a finger at the building he just walked out of. "What's little Kera doing alone, today, for?" he says as he leans back and tosses another piece of pastry into his mouth. He turns his gaze back to Kera in anticipation of the response.
