Can I stay here for the night?

I had escaped the careers two days ago, but I hadn't been able to drink, sleep, or even eat sense I had left the field of bushes. I had too many wounds to count, and I could barely walk anymore. I look around at my surroundings, hoping to find something useful.

I first notice the pond I've arrived at. I bend down and take a small sip to see if it's poisoned or not. Then I look around at the plants. Is there something I can eat here? Are there any herbs I can use to heal myself?

After a moment, I decide that the water is safe to drink, and I drink a few mouthfuls. For a second I just sit there, then I remembered that I nearly died because I stopped to rest. Drinking or eating is one thing, but just sitting around could get me killed if I'm not ready to flee. With some effort, I get up and move a little closer to the plants growing by the pond. I run through a list of herbs and foods in my head to determine if they are useful to me.

I realize that none of the plants are herbs. I'm about to turn away when i realize another purpose for the plants: bandages. I take another look at the plants and determine which ones would be suitable. Then I strip them of their leaves, making a pile of them next to me. I use water from the pond to clean away the dried blood on my wounds. Once that was done, I carefully wrapped the leaves around my many injuries. Already I felt a little better, but that might have just been the fact that I didn't have dried blood all over me now.

I looked back to the plants. There were a few leaves left, maybe I should take some with me. I look down at the wetsuit I'm wearing; there's not much room to carry around a bunch of leaves in this outfit. Too bad I didn't get a backpack. Maybe I can store them in my shoes. Sure, it may get stinky, but that's the best place I can think of. I strip a few more of the leaves from the plants and put them into my shoes, careful not to rip any as they slide past my feet.

Once I'm done, I stand and get a feel for the leaves in my shoes. It's not exactly comfy, but it could help me survive. Now I look around for a place to sleep. Maybe I should climb into a tree; I've never climbed a tree before, but I could try. I take another look around the pond; maybe there's a safe place for me to sleep on the ground.

(She hasn't slept for two days. Also, I had to leave for a few hours, and I didn't know when I'd be back. I assumed it'd be nighttime before I could post again.)

I looked to the sky and realized I still had some time before nightfall. Enough time to find some food before I decided where to sleep. There weren't any edible plants I knew of on the bank of the pond, but maybe there was something in the water I could fish out.

Chaos scrambled up, moving away from the group that decided to attack him. As he made his way up, he saw a girl that looked quite weak. He grinned and moved over to her quickly before jabbing at her with his spear, "Sorry girl, I just want to go out with a fight." Blood was dried on his body.

I hear Chaos's voice as he stabs at me with his spear. I try to dodge away as i stand up. But this time I won't just run. I turn and try to punch him in the face. Then I try to flee.

(Hand-to-hand combat will still use an attack dice, though it will only be -5 hp, right?If not, ignore the attack die)

Chaos attacks me again, but his spear misses me. I am a kick at him and the look around the ground. Maybe there's a fallen limb or something i can use as a weapon. Anything would be useful right now.

Chaos sighed he had hit her but she still had some fight in her. He grinned, "Well, it looks like your can fight, let's finish this off then." As she got off the ground he quickly pop a pill from the first aid kit in his mouth and then jabbed at her with his spear. And for just in case he looked around for a quick way to run when he needed too.

I spot a tree branch on the ground near Chaos. If I try to get it, I'll be even closer to his spear. But I may be able to block his attack if i had the branch. It's risky, but I go for it.

I aim another kick at the career to distract him, and then I grab for the branch. I hope i can reach it before he reaches me.

Chaos smirks as she misses him but then in the corner of his eyes spots the tree branch. He popped another pill in his mouth and tryed to jab at her quickly before she could get it.
