Fern saw Ken, swatting at other bats himself. She had lost 8 arrows so quickly. Thinking a bit strategically, she used the arrows as a sword. She managed to pluck a few out of the air. At least Fern wouldn't waste any more arrows... The squealing mob got closer, and Fern frantically stabbed the bats, as they attacked.

Ken cursed lightly. He stabbed all the bats within his reach, making an arch of destruction in his feet. Bats everywhere began to attack him at the same time. It wasn't fair, there was too many of them for their alliance. "Fern! Run whenever you got the chance!"he yelled over the screeching. He sidestepped a bat and stabbed it hopefully.

Fern was done with her rash confidence, and bolted away. At first, she was clueless of what direction to go in, so she only ended up a few yards away. Bats could still attack her, but not as many were able to now that she distanced herself. Fern was tempted to go farther down, but determined to be brave and not break away from her alliance.

At first we agreed that Admins and Mods would manage the HP.

Ken slashed and Hacked, slashed and hacked. But the bats were too much overwhelming. He ran ahead, not wondering where Fern went, but he hoped he doesn't meet her soon, with the bats on his flanks. He tried to dodge a attacking bat. And three more came. With precise aim, he threw three knives onto the oncomming attackers. Hoping he'd hit it, he ran ahead, muscles hurting, but not stopping. He gasped for air, as the sound began to fade and doubled over, breathing heavily.

Jokk groaned, not liking the attck. He shoved some cooked bird into his mouth and picked up a knife. He didn't know if he should throw it or lung, but he figured throwing it would be his best option. He blinked twice before picking up one of his two knives.

He crossed his fingers before throwing his knife. He made sure all his attention was focused on his throw and planed on picking up his next knife. The bat was dangerously close to him, and he needed to make the shot. He NEEDED to!

Fern stood a distance enough away, watching her alliances die off. She wanted do badly to help, but she couldn't bring herself to go back out to the swarm of bats. Besides, she had been fighting, so she was exhausted, hurt, and in no shape to help them out. In addition, she didn't want to risk more arrows. This is good, said an evil part of her brain, you won't be the one to kill them... Fern felt terrible about that thought, but she knew it had some truth. But for now, she would need her allies to hang on.

Ken ran as far away as his feet could carry him. A part of him screamed to go back for Fern, but he knew he was too weak to go back. Only one last back followed him, and he could finish it quickly. Bringing out 4 of his final knives, he got one and aimed it for the bat's chest, but so suddenly, it attacked. Ken sidestepped the bat and brought the knife in. Aimed for the heart of the last Mutt.

He hopped the attacker would die off quickly, and so he began to attack with all his might, wanting to rid himself off the small mammal.

By this time, Jokk knew it was time to run. He ducked and summer-saulted away. He couldn't take it. He wasn't going to die here, he would not die here. He thanked God that he was fast and fled. He fled for his life. He passed Fern and gave her a disappointing frown. Tears streamed from his eyes and he didn't worry about closeups. He didn't notice the bats that screeched behind him, still attacking camp.

As he ran, he dropped my camp. He wouldn't be a thief, but he felt like he had to take his things. He grabbed his backpack, stuffed his remaining knife in his backpack, reached for his bandages, and shoved his large amount of water into his large sack. The last thing he put in his back pack was a rabbit. That was what he stole, and he felt bad, but it didn't matter. He would need it soon. He had given the others water and bird. He deserved rabbit. They would have fire.

He pulled out his bird, which had two full bites left, and munched on the rest. He stomach growled with content, and he was full since the first time in the games. He took a small sip of water after tossing his plastic wrap back in his pack. He sighed, content, and fully powered. He wasn't sure where he was going, but he had to get away.

As he ran past Fern again, he stopped. The bats weren't close, they were reasonably far away. "Fern . . ." He said wistfully. He stepped closer to her, his eyes pleading for her to be with him. "I . . . I . . ." Jokk couldn't find the right words to describe what he wanted to say. Fern was a friend, and an ally, but was she anything more? Jokk couldn't decide what he thought of this girl. She was perfect, wasn't she? He couldn't think straight recently.

"I think I really like you. I don't want to leave. Most importantly, I don't want to leave without you." Jokk sighed and closed his eyes. He sat down, shoulder to shoulder with Fern, and waited. He figured she liked Nik. And now he had told the world that he liked Fern, did he still like good old Cinn? It didn't matter. Neither of them had feelings for him.

Fern smiled. She didn't know what to feel, actually. Get mad because she liked Nik? Smile because she liked him too? Well... Nik's off to die at the moment. She needed an alliance, and unsure if she really meant it, she said, "I like you, too! Now, I guess we should go... I had a feeling this alliance wouldn't last long after the attack," she smiled, nervously. The bats were dangerously close, and Fern had a feeling that the best thing to do was run. How about the supplies?, she though, a bit worriedly, but brushed away the worry. She had her bow and arrows, that would be good enough for now, hopefully.
