Jokk took a few, silent, deep breaths as he prepared to make himself known. The cannon sounded, and Jokk flinched, knowing his ally was gone. He had to look after Fern. He had to protect her. Jokk slid his two knives, the ones he was saving, into the safe pockets of his backpack and pulled out his bow and three arrows.

Time was running out. Jokk jumped up, revealing himself and endangering his life. Fern was close now, a lot closer than she had seemed, but so were the enemies. That word made Jokk shiver. They were all just kids! Oh well, it didn't matter. For now, Jokk cared only for his and Fern's own lives.

Carefully aiming his bow, Jokk shot three arrows. Each arrow was aimed for a member of the enemy allies.

The first arrow was pointed and heading towards the one who killed Ken. That arrow had to most power and anger built up. The arrows maybe victim's name was Jacob. He was from District 7.

The second arrow was pointed at the boy who decided they should get Fern next. She was all that was left, when they had seen only her. To them, Fern was a mouse surrounded by cats, and this evil boy, not unlike Jokk, really, had wanted to go for her. That arrow was the most well prepared. Milo was the one in that arrows path.

The final arrow was aimed for the girl. She obviously wanted to win, and her cockiness and ease to make her shots made Jokk want to scream. He wasn't sure what emotion filled him when he thought of this girl, but he didn't like it. At Coral Swan, he shot his third arrow, leaving him seven more. Hopefully, most likely, one arrow would hit its target. That was all Jokk needed. Then Fern and Jokk could run.

"Fern!" He called, tears building up in his eyes. "We need to go!"

-Sorry, those attacks were at three different people, one after another. I thought it was each person you were attacking was only allowed to be attacked once, not each tribute could only attack once. Well then, he was just hitting at Brook, which was the shot he made if that's allowed. If it isn't, forget those shots.-

Jokk saw a spear come shooting at him. Time was moving in slow motion, so he knew he had time to think things through. The more well thought out he planned things, the better a chance he had of achieving what he was trying to do. Right know, he needed to block the shot, and fire back. He pulled out his two knives, he better chance of survival, and slung his bow and quiver back around his shoulder, where they would be safer.

With much thought, Jokk let a knife fly from his hand, aimed for the more pressing disaster, the weapon aimed for his leg. If the knife hit, which Jokk hoped would happen, his leg would be spared. If it didn't, he would be slowed down, which he was NOT willing to let happen. Then he saw another brief distraction, one that got Milo to almost lose his guard, of course, Milo was still alert, as was Jokk, but his ally was talking. When your ally talked, you listened.

So, at that time, Jokk threw his knife at Milo's chest with every bit of energy he could muster. The knife flew fast and powerfully, gaining speed as it went, and aimed straight for the other boy's chest. As soon as the knife hit, if it hit or not, Jokk was ready to grab Fern and run. There was no time to hang around and fight. The young fighter needed time to think things through. As soon as he got away, if he got away, there would be time to think. Milo had been told to leave, which would be a distraction, Jokk knew he had the upper hand. A fleeing fighter wasn't a good one.

Jokk exhaled deeply, seeing the two of the three enemies miss their shots aimed for him. Jokk's angle was defense. Sure, he could make a shot, but he was best at dodging shots. He most often spent his time in the woods dodging mountain lions, and strange animals sent into the forest by the Capital. Jokk was used to this kind of thing. People were just a step up, a hint smarter, a tad slower.

Seeing the boy, who's name Jokk couldn't remember, throw himself at him, Jokk acted quickly. His mind told him to step to the side. The boy, Jacob?, was aiming for Jokk's legs, trying to knock his bow out of his hands. While the boy soared threw the air, Jokk started to think. If he stepped, just slightly, to the side, then he could avoid Jacob's blow entirely and be at an easy shooting distance.

Stepping to the side, Jokk hoped it was enough to dodge the blow, thinking quickly, and throwing the spear from Milo at his enemy ally. How ironic was it that his death might be because of his own ally's weapon. The sad, but true, thought almost made Jokk want to laugh, if only his own life wasn't on the line. So, aiming for Jacob's chest/back, and stepping to the side at the same time, Jokk let Milo's spear fly.
