| Milo only had one thought in mind as he lunged forward with the spear. Protect Brook. He didn't want to kill this boy. How old could he be, anyway? But he'd made his choice. And so, he couldn't hesitate, or doubt himself or his abilities. He was doing this for someone he loved. It was the only thing he could do to console himself in that brief second before he sent his spear flying forward.

| Brook watched her allies attack the boy, 'Stay Calm' I ordered myself. I lunged with my twin blades this boy was quick, he had dodged Jacob and Milo. Maybe I could get lucky and give a hard blow here.

| He'd seen that he'd wounded the boy on the leg, and was glad he did. The sooner they could end this, the sooner he could help Brook. He couldn't risk glancing back at her, he could only stay in front of her, defending her. He attacked again, this time he wouldn't miss. He couldn't let any pity enter his mind, or he wouldn't be able to do it. So the only thing he could do was strike, aiming for the chest. | |

| The right side of me seemed to be on fire. My coat and pants were stained with red blood. I could even taste it in my mouth. But I had to keep fighting. It was rhe only way to survive. I had managed to dodge the Seven boy's attack, and the Six boy's second attack. But I knew that it wasn't going to end like this- me dodging every attack. Heck no. I had to fight back, also. I swipe at the two boys- first the Seven Tribute, then the Six. | |

He remembered missing, and then there was a sharp pain in his leg and it was all he could do not to pass out. He smelled blood, and that didn't help his situation. A few fireworks popped in his vision as he regained his feet and slashed at the boy as hard as he could. It was three against one! He wasn't letting this kid, younger than himself, kill the three of them and skip away with only a few wounds. Thoughts floated in his mind, seemingly in slow motion as he slashed yet again.
Brook...blood...blood...Brook...step back, Milo...defensive position...over soon...Brook...blood...

| I fell to one knee, clutching it to try and stop the pain, it was useless, but it was instinct. I saw my allies rally for a counterattack against the lone boy, he had some luck, or maybe skill, but it would be wasted on the three of us. I knew I had to join in on the assault, if anything, to keep him busy while my allies took him down, my confidence was at an all time low, I was missing so many attacks that should have been hits. I couldn't let it continue, somehow, I had to pull this together and get my attacks on their marks, and swinging my sword with both hands, seemed like a good start. | |
