Astrid was already too late by the time he ducked and she was about to fall to the ground but he caught her just before she hit it and she was breathing heavily. "You have to give me credit for what I pulled though." She said smirking. "Can you just pull me up now?" She asked.

Rafe Terrn Rafe pulled her up and scooted over on the log to make enough room for her on the end. "Oh yeah" he said, still holding her hand to make sure she wouldn't fall, "Almost hitting me four times after making me insult you to get you mad at me, what an accomplishment" he said sarcastically.

Astrid rolled her eyes, "Not that." She said and shook her head at him. "I meant how I tried playing the weak card." She said and then sighed softly. "It's difficult to get angry because I think deep down it upsets you more then it angers you but you lash out in anger, the only problem is you finally listen to what's being said and you have no more anger left to dish out on someone." She said, "I suppose if we go in the games together, I'm screwed whether I can beat twenty three of them or not." She said.

"I'd pick you as an ally and then you'd stab me in the back of the head right after the bloodbath to get it out of the way." he says. Astrid nodded at what he said, "I wouldn't stab you unless I had to." She said getting that little bit in there. "Anyway, if you don't want to talk about the games then why are we in here? This is where we prepare to kill everyone for the games." She said and looked over at him. It was true though, if he didn't really think talking about the games was a good idea then being here wasn't either. "Come on, I have blood on my chin and you have blood on your hand, we should go clean that up." She said.

Rafe Terrn Rafe figured it was best not to argue with her, but when she mentioned cleaning up he spoke, "What? No high five first?" he said, holding up his bloody palm and smirking. He slid off the log and landed on his feet on the floor of the center, he turned and looked up at Astrid, "Still trust me?" he asks, an overall question this time, subtly bringing everything into play at once, for just that moment.

Astrid looked at him and laughed as he was mentioning a high five, a bloody one at that. Astrid soon watched him get off the logs and asked if she still trusted him. "Well, Rafe, I like danger so I'd jump anyway." She said smiling and she got went to the edge of the log and dropped her self down.

Rafe Terrn Rafe caught her and smiled, "Faster than the ladder" he says, setting her down on her feet. "First Aid area or home?" he asked, meaning her home, that was nicer than Flint's and probably better stocked for most situations, depending on what upkeep Astoria actually bothered with.

She agreed and then when she was set down she walked away from the course, "Well, home is so far away and I'm not feeling like walking a ton so here will be fine." She said and grinned. "First aid area is cool anyways." She said and then began walking over that way. "So, the things you said.. insulting things I told you to say, you didn't mean any of them did you?" She asked him.

Astrid grinned as they walked there and upon getting there she looked over at him. "You know, you not meaning anything that you said basically means those are all meant to be compliments." She teased and then she sat down and opened a first aid kit. She got up for a moment getting a water bottle and returned to her seat by a first aid kit.

Rafe Terrn Rafe sat down and started wrapping his hand with gauze. His lip twitched slightly at what Astrid mentioned, but he shook it off, "Yep, pretty much" he said, acting like that was no big deal. He could compliment her if he wanted, right?

"You should have cleaned that first." She said and took the gauze off his hand and soon she found soft cotton balls. She took one and got it damp and cleaned the blood off his hand. She then found something and used it to disinfect his wound, more so to prevent infection though. She then wrapped his hand back up. "There." She said and then she began to clean her own small wound on her chin. She didn't bother to use a bandage for it. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with complimenting a girl." She said smiling.

Rafe Terrn Rafe smiled as she undid the bandage and started cleaning it all. It was just that moment of her caring about him right there. Her hands were soft too, cleaning out the wound with cotton swabs. Rafe listened to her comment, "I never said there was, I just never did it until now." he replies.

Astrid smiled at him and then she started to pack up the first aid supplies and put them back in their respective places. She took a sip of water and then offered him the water bottle. "So, you don't think I'll be always known as just Astoria's little sister?" She asked looking down at her hands to avoid looking at him, she wanted to know what he thought but another part of her didn't.

Astrid looked over at Rafe, yet again and grinned at him and thought about what he said, "Key word being most, Rafe." She said and then thought again. "Well Astoria had her own ways of winning the games and she doesn't share how exactly she did it and she wont teach me all the skills she used to win either but Flint was a strong tribute but her mentor skills helped him a bit." She said and then looked at her hands again and another thought game into mind and she looked at him and smirked, "So, why do you care about flirting girls, Rafe?" Astrid asked.

Astrid smiled at him, "Makes sense." She commented and then thought to herself for a bit. "I'm a bit of a loner myself anyway." Astrid admitted, "I don't have many people I care for and I don't plan to have a lot of people I care for, I cared for my father and my brother and well they died of an illness before Astoria won, it's just hard to be close to someone who has a chance of being reaped." Astrid said, "I only have two people I care about, Astoria and you. My mother's gone mentally. I basically lost her already but I've expected that." She said. "Anyway, if you want you can lift weights again and I can push them over...Again." She said laughing.

Rafe Terrn Rafe grinned, "Gotta avoid the peacekeepers though" he says, thinking of all the free space outside the district to explore. It would be fun, provided they didn't get eaten by a mountain lion or something. "What should we take? Knives and a bag for supplies?" he says, preparing to stock up for this fun trip. It could benefit their ability to survive nature in the arena, while still just being fun.

Astrid grinned wickedly, "Or we can play a little hide and go seek with the peace keepers." She said quietly so others wouldn't hear her. "Knives, and a bag with some stuff sounds fine, we can go back to my house and get a few of those things." She said and then she stood up, "I'd offer to help you up but you're stronger than I am so that wouldn't turn out well." She said and waited for him to get up.
